The only reason I have given 2 stars is because of the sales staff We bought a home in Calderwood Village and Gail was amazing to work with However once mortgage was paid out and we moved in there was no aftercare No snagging has been fixed the managers on site aren t interested and just avoid you or make excuses There is no aftercare at all I have sent numerous emails and had no response Terrible customer service

Be Very careful on handovers and pre entry lists We reported a smashed pillar in our house several times before handover to the selling agent and the site team saw it on pre entry I clearly remember them looking at the smashed pillar on pre entry and when we reserved the house the agent told us do not worry as this will be fixed as site team is here and are aware On Handover that was the reason why it wasn t added to the handover list because the construction team was on site knew about this issue and was going to be fixed in these next few days One month passed and nothing was done so we contacted them they never contacted us We felt misled on handover and is my fault to not ask for the smashed pillar to be on the handover list but I trusted their word so for future reference be very careful on pre entry handover and be firm with them on handover I spoke with Dundas Customer Care many times and despite my best efforts to resolve this in a friendly manner the answer from the Company was negative so I had to report them to NHBC and a formal complaint was made to Dundas which was when one of the directors accepted to rectify the issue regardless who was liable and the issue was rectified promptly I have not much more negative to say despite this as customer care have always been professional and in general the house have quality and all minor issues that we reported were fixed but this specific episode about the smashed pillar and how difficult it was to get this fixed was not good

Erin in customer care is a credit to the company it s a shame some of the builders don t follow suit We moved in nearly 3 years ago and have had Erin as our contact the whole time - whenever we ve had a problem with the snagging etc she would get back to us very promptly and would confirm she d already looked out an appointment for someone to come out and have a look It doesn t matter how many times you have to get back to her about outstanding issues or unfinished jobs which is all to common with Dundas unfortunately she s always so positive and professional She really is a gem

Having purchased a new home from Dundas Any issues were dealt with swiftly and competently by Customer Services team

Dundas were generally good to work with and helped where they could Customer service did take a dip when they removed Janice from site

Will I buy another Dundas house No the 2 years snagging was a disaster to keep on top of when dealing with the site itself Fobbed off a few times with excuse after excuse The reason for the 4 stars and not 1 was all to do with the experience I had the customer service team after the site was finished dealing with me mainly Erin Erin was very quick to respond to emails and very quick to sort the rest of the snagging the site had neglected I just wish I could have dealt with Erin from the start So Dundas get 4 stars instead of 1 for me because one person Must do better

Can t fault our experience with Dundas s customer care team if we had a problem they have sorted it within the timeline they have provided and also accommodated our schedule too Overall our experience with Dundas as being first time buyers has been good From speaking with Janice at the start till getting the keys to the house We are realistic and know that every new build house comes with snags it s inevitable We hired a professional snagger to come help us with our snagging list which I highly recommend I can say there were no major snags at all - Dundas build quality homes and they try to get problems fixed The painting was a tad shocking in the house however the customer care team sorted that for us with no issue It takes a lot of effort as a home owner to move get settled and fix snagging now almost 2 years in the house if I had to buy another new build I would consider Dundas again

We purchased our new home from Dundas and had good communication throughout the buying experience from Gail in the sales office We were updated regularly on the stages of our new home We took ownership in August 2022 and had the usual snagging issues Robert the site agent was approachable daily and quickly sorted all issues promptly Our kitchen was a bigger issue than snagging - after numerous visits from the kitchen company and dundas personnel the kitchen was replaced to our satisfaction We found dundas customer service especially Erin contactable and helpful with all of our emails calls and nothing was a problem The spec within Dundas houses is the best we have seen compared to our previous new houses We have settled in and are delighted with our new home and the location is perfect

6 months into our new house and Dundas sent a team of tradesmen to resolve essentially minor snags They had resolved a few when we moved in and on both occasions responded well - professional polite and helpful To be honest the house is great overall it is well-finished and I feel Dundas is keen to help with any issues

Happy with new build property Some snagging issues though being resolved quick on resolving anything major Communication for originally moving in wasn t good with original agents but very happy with how the care team have been for the house
