They cancelled our booking update

For my first experience it wasn t clear which was a vio booking or another booking from another site Before and after signing into vio I was confused about which properties I could select without having to create yet another account with booking com for example Prices were competitive

LOVED the customer service

They cancelled our booking in dates when a music festival was taking place and there weren t ANY places left They wanted to relocate us 14km away We are not from the area we don t have a car and there are no buses during the night The worst part is that they probably just did it to raise the prices because of the high demand for those days Really really bad experience UPDATE during the week and after reclaiming through different ways VIO relocated us in the same city as requested in a nice place They even booked breakfast buffet for us The customer service was always very polite despite the rough situation

The booking process was easy but

LOVED the customer service They arranged a refund of a non refundable rate Could not stay in the hotel they booked me in elevator broken old sick people in lobby that smelled like a urinal other guests complaining of fleas Counter clerk telling us it was unsafe to walk in the neighborhood cars broken into in the parking lot

Everything went smoothly and fast

The booking process was easy Unfortunately the room listing information provided was not correct The room listing indicated it was in the family selection part of the resort After booking I called the resort to confirm check in instructions as recommended and was told that the room book was in a different section and we would have to pay considerably more if we wanted to change to our preferred section This was very disappointing as we wanted to be close to family staying there If not for this it would be 5 stars

The price advertised wasn t really available

Everything went smoothly and fast and you guys had the best price available online as far as right now it was a great experience booking with yaw I wanna say I think you guys and other companies ask customers for reviews too soon the trip is next month but yet you guys asking me to rate an experience that didn t happen yet if anything go wrong with the booking I won t be able to rate yaw and you guys already as the 5 stars That makes no sense to me

Over booked

The hotel room price advertised wasn t actually available So I felt it was kind of a bait and switch ploy Plus the reservation was non-refundable The better sites will allow you to cancel 24-48 hrs before your reservation date So I would look around for more flexible reservation options

Hotel did not have my reservation

Once booked we called the hotel to be told they are fully booked Good job I checked be travelling Now waiting 7 days for a refund for what was essentially a non-booking Update Good response back from Vio Clearly concerned about customer service and to be fair I didn t inform them to rectify Might change again pending responses now 3 stars

It was nice and simple but

Hotel did not have my reservation when I arrived I prepaid and lost that money and had to pay the last minute rate that was even more than what I already paid in advance The representative of VIO assured me they would resolve this After I come home I see they didn t resolve it and I see the expensive charge on my card Thank you VIO you refunded my extra charges Everyone makes mistakes no problem thank you

Payment currency not clear

It was nice and simple but after pre booking a hotel I noticed a note which says the hotel doesn t accept under 18 years old on the website I did search for accommodation for family originally from Trivago so I am thinking I need to contact the hotel to clarify the information For that reason I am not totally satisfied

It was easy to book and the payment options were many but I didn t realize my card would be charged in USD when the site quoted everything in my local currency I would have used a different payment method had I known this site would charge my card in US dollars
