Rude staff member booo

Went to the Somerford branch and was rudely dismissed by a female member of staff that thought the sun shone from that area we do not mention here on trustpilot I won t go back there ever ever ever again The reason I have two stars is I went to their Wimborne branch where the staff were helpful and professional who should get a minimum of four the shop is a bit tatty not the staffs fault and I would use them again

I m experienced in keeping tropical

I m experienced in keeping tropical fish and have been looking after them for many years I thought Guppy Fish would be enjoyable to have again and purchase from the Wellington store The first five lasted about a month although showed problems soon after purchase Firstly I blamed myself and thought it was the water quality not at the correct balance tried every trick in the book but sadly they were in such a state I had no choice but to euthanize them humanely with clove oil Purchased We ton store the same again changed everything in the tank and started fresh at a considerable cost This time after a couple of months all the Guppies one by one did the same Thought I was doing something very wrong but could not figure out what was going on Ok try again and this time purchase form the Aquarium store very close to Ottery St Mary Devon Bingo finally the fish are doing very well and my insanity is restored Some time passed purchased another three fish from the Wellington store History repeated itself but thankfully did not infect my other fish I would strongly advise you not to buy Guppies from the Wellington store It can be very heartbreaking and expensive for new people trying their hand at tropical fish and Guppies are usually the first fish to go for

Popped in today for a few bits

Popped in today for a few bits Have recently moved to the area so only second time been in A nice selection of fish and all looked well tended although there were a couple of dead Sterbai corydoras in tank Shop was busy so I don t suppose anyone had noticed However what really disappointed me was hearing a member of staff recommend to who was obviously a very novice fish keeper to do a fish in cycle Really And with a Betta too And do you really think a Molly would be a good tank mate No I wasnt clear what size tank the gentleman had who appeared to be buying for a child Im not sure the staff did either These are living creatures they deserve better It is not hard to cycle a tank without using fish and far less upsetting than seeing stressed fish dying due to ammonia poisoning

Popped into the Crawley store to get some tropical fish and changed my mind

Popped into the Crawley store to get some tropical fish but didn t stay long I thought my tank was overdue a clean but the sight of the tanks there and the poor fish was shocking I asked the staff if they were going to remove the dead fish and he jumped up and said yes of course Surely this would be a priority as a number of tanks had dead fish in but one tank over half the fish were dead see the picture

Desperately Need More Staff

Osterley branch - the poor sales guy was all on his own in such big and busy store and having to deal with people complaining about waiting so long while he was getting fish for us we really felt for him He did however remain calm and was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the fish we enquired about a credit to the store and the reason we gave 3
