Very helpful service which was quick but was disappointed that only 50 could be claimed against a key costing 150 so probably not worth the cover

2 weeks couldn t lock or unlock my car

I needed a new car key which I paid upfront 350 then had to wait 2 weeks for AA to arrive an give me new key 3 weeks later still waiting for refund minus 50

Key care assisted well done

Well i received a message from insurers that key would be with me within 14 days actually took alot longer I also did say in the first email they would be no other costs been claimed and I was asked several times regarding this But the claim is closed I got my new key coded job well done

Great timely service but failed to return to complete the Job

Great timely service guy arrived made a key card that works electronically but the key blade doesn t work He said he would return the following day to fix it I haven t s seen or heard from him since A very pleasant customer service focused guy So I was amazed he did not return as he said he would

Doesn t fill me with confidence

It s pleasing to see good reviews from policy claimants because my experience in taking out the cover hasn t especially filled me with confidence First of all I was conned by Trustford into taking out this cover together with a multitude of other extra insurances not the fault of Keycare I know but it has taken Keycare THIRTEEN MONTHS to send me a Policy booklet and key fob As the accompanying letter states LOSS OR THEFT OF YOUR KEYS WILL NOT BE COVERED IF THEY ARE NOT ATTACHED TO YOUR KEY FOB what would have happened in those intervening 13 months if I needed to claim Good job I have a two year contract and not one year Also I thought most cars came with two keys these days What is the point of sending ONE fob

Not 24hr emergency 24hr phone line operation They give u numbers of the google website of different locksmiths around the area Would be helpful if they have their own people Finally after begging got a locksmith sorted The actual worker who made the key He was a legend May god watch over him But the key itself does not open the door manually and today for the second time was stuck in the ignition took me 35 mins to take it out nearly broke my ignition Not a proper key Fake key They came back after the review and helped sort the key out Rob was friendly and wonderful

It took Key care 81 days to replace my

It took Key care 81 days to replace my lost keys Key Care initially responded to my insurance request for replacement of lost car keys on Dec 2nd 2022 when I reported it to them Over the next few weeks I chased several times concerned I only had one set of keys but nothing happened It was 2 5 months later on 31st January 2023 that a local locksmith contacted me saying he d literally just been allocated the job He did replace my car keys but the new key failed next day luckily before I left home On February 21st 2023 I finally got a working replacement car key I m not sure this ridiculous delay is actually worth the 3 stars I have given The service was frustratingly poor even though the individuals I dealt with were pleasant enough Waiting this long for a working replacement key was unacceptable

The good was the constant reminders

The good was the constant reminders the poor was the maximum pay out of 50 00 where as the quote from the AA or rather Keycare replacement fob provider totalled in excess of 300 00 Fortunately I found a very good local car key specialist who provided a new and programmed remote fob for 100 00
