Very poor

Very poor Had to chase for survey results once i got them they were mostly generic copy and paste The full building survey took only 90 mins for a 4 bed detached house They said the boiler was OIL but was clearly gas I had to chase multiple times for response to any of my questions afterwards I would not recommend at all and should have checked their recent reviews first I dont believe this was a full building survey at all

Do not recommend

I wasn t impressed with the service Think they may have taken on too much work - seemed to be a real inconvenience that I wanted to speak with the surveyor despite a phone call being advertised as included Review updated since they have replied noting my survey should not have included costs overall rating reflects service I received

structural survey

Had a structural survey done with this company Not impressed at all Put down lots of stuff in the report for good measure or to back themselves up if needed who knows Either way this unnecessary info e g speculated dampness of sub-floor timbers l is not small stuff and has consequences The bank has given as a run around because of this report Chased endlessly Leo et Al to explain what they meant in the report exactly they completely washed their hands and told us to get a damp specialist which cost a bomb End of the tale is - this delayed us buying and moving into our house And ps there was no rot or damp just the existing laminate was rubbish and floor boards needed levelling in some places If they opened the under the stairs storage they would have seen that Wouldn t use these guys again

the surveyor was nice and polite but he was not listening to my concerns and I was rather disappointed that he did not bother to report the real cause of the damage caused to my house which I pointed it out very clearly to him - he just wrote what he believed which is totally and unfortunately incorrect

So and so standard report

Standard detailed report nothing much you can do with it but pay more money for other people to investigate further Still peace of mind i guess

Disappointed

Having had and payed for a structural engineer to report on whether a wall was load bearing before removal the advice was that in his opinion it wasn t however a builder should take some ceiling down to confirm Why bother in the first place As it transpired it was totally load bearing which added time and expense When questioned I was told another engineer could come within 10 days and a report sent another 8 days later builders on site now and being payed and an extra charge of 540 Dan Mutton managed to arrange a non site report but still charged over 200 If it wasn t for Dan this would have been a one star experience If the original report had have been accurate I wouldn t have started the work as it has added thousands to my initial costings Shame really I won t be using them again

Sloppy work that gives no confidence to me

Initial survey missed a huge crack in the wall stupidly commissioned them to do structural calculations for the development of the property it was as if they couldn t use a scale rule as it took 3 attempts to get the length somewhere close to right I have no confidence that it is right because they didn t even correct the full report only pages with the calcs on Would not recommend them

Poor communication and unqualified report

Initial booking and survey was done promptly but after that I had to call everyday for 4 days to get hold of someone Receptionist will promise everyday that surveyer is busy and will call me after 5pm which never materialised Eventually I had a few lines email from them saying no major problem Finally the report arrived which is not worth reading as the content and quality of the report was so poor No in-depth information which I expected from a qualified person A bunch of poor resolution pics added at the end with no caption Stay away from this company if you can

Would not recommend

As promised I should have received a call from the surveyor on the day or within 24 hours of the surveyor completion I did not receive any call and subsequently had to chase the company to provide an update on the findings of the property After calling around I found out the surveyor had left for holiday and as a result sent me the report with no follow up discussion I also found out that the surveyor was in the property for 5 minutes to conduct the detailed general surveyor report This is disappointing and I would question the accuracy and completeness of the report that was provided back
