Updated bad initial experience great customer care

UPDATE I got a call from Lottie shortly after this review and I am reassured that my experience was an accident The tech team is now investigating why I didn t get the do not contact me option in the form on my mobile browser and seeing if they can recreate the error As for the phone number leaking to a carer agency outside the shortlist it is unclear what happened but it is unlikely that the leak was on Lottie s side and not one of their partners As upsetting as the initial experience was I am very happy with the followup I used Lottie s database to search for local carers and there is no way to view the results without consenting to calls from agencies and I have now received insistent calls from more agencies than the ones whose details were shared with me They very much don t stop after one left voicemail message either I have had ten unsolicited calls ten in the last 24 hours The whole reason I need a carer is that I have a severely energy-limiting condition I simply do not have the capacity to deal with predatory calls I knew I wasn t interested in some of the options based on price the moment I got the search results there wasn t a way to at least not let them call me There is no way to inform Lottie that you have chosen a carer and don t need all these calls either or if there is I have not found it which means it is hidden away in an extremely non-user-friendly way I wanted a service that gave me control which has to include a chance to contact prospective carers first Instead I am hounded with calls from agencies I was never interested in

Lottie gave us full and comprehensive

Lottie gave us full and comprehensive information on the steps we needed to take to deal with local authority funding together with nhs funding for a loved one that may need to into full time nursing care It s a pity the nhs don t offer such a service it would help a lot of families having to go through this process maybe Lottie could approach the nhs to offer such a service at the time of need and save families having to trawl the internet themselves So thank you

Joe was very helpful at identifying Care Homes which he felt would match the requirements for my Mum s care He was kind friendly and knowledgeable Using the Lottie website with its links to care providers websites and CQC reports together with personal recommendations advice and actual visits helped my decision-making process and I m very happy with the home I selected

Really Helpful Service

After making an enquiry to a residential home I was contacted by Katy of Lottie Katy advised me that she could search for residential homes that would meet our criteria I gave Katy all of the information I received an email a couple of hours later with 2 potential homes that we are looking in to I had a call from one of the homes within 10 minutes This took away a lot of pressure

Jo the staff member we worked with was extremely helpful He listened to our concerns questions gave clear answers and where he didn t know he researched and got back to us promptly He gave reassurance when we were unable to get direct answers from social services

We reached out to Lottie at the beginning of mum s vascular dementia journey We received outstanding support from Eva She gathered a shortlist of homes which matched our criteria Her speedy response was a game changer This support meant that our journey with mum felt possible Eva paves the way with compassion diligence and deep knowledge of the care sector And for that we will be forever grateful

Choosing a care home made simpler

I have to decide on my brothers care home all things going through my mind like which one can meet his needs so many to go through which was stressful Eva mad it easier by drawing up a list based on what I felt my brother needed Now narrowed done to 3 for now with Eva s help

Result from Admiralty was positive

Result from Admiralty was positive however when we said yes with a room available and went to arrange an assessment Then to be phoned the next day to be told they had no rooms available So very disappointed
