Updated bad initial experience great customer care
UPDATE I got a call from Lottie shortly after this review and I am reassured that my experience was an accident The tech team is now investigating why I didn t get the do not contact me option in the form on my mobile browser and seeing if they can recreate the error As for the phone number leaking to a carer agency outside the shortlist it is unclear what happened but it is unlikely that the leak was on Lottie s side and not one of their partners As upsetting as the initial experience was I am very happy with the followup I used Lottie s database to search for local carers and there is no way to view the results without consenting to calls from agencies and I have now received insistent calls from more agencies than the ones whose details were shared with me They very much don t stop after one left voicemail message either I have had ten unsolicited calls ten in the last 24 hours The whole reason I need a carer is that I have a severely energy-limiting condition I simply do not have the capacity to deal with predatory calls I knew I wasn t interested in some of the options based on price the moment I got the search results there wasn t a way to at least not let them call me There is no way to inform Lottie that you have chosen a carer and don t need all these calls either or if there is I have not found it which means it is hidden away in an extremely non-user-friendly way I wanted a service that gave me control which has to include a chance to contact prospective carers first Instead I am hounded with calls from agencies I was never interested in
