Disappointed with their new pizzas

I used to order from Papa John s regularly as it had one my favorite vegetarian pizzas the greek pizza They have removed that from the menu and the most similar I could find is the garden party which is absolutely bland tastes of nothing even with extra toppings of olives Gave them a second change and ordered the this works pizza which has meat again it tasted like a fatty bland mess I can tell the quality and freshness of the ingredients have massively changed Despite all of that I must say the delivery service was quick

Not a huge moan but I personally find they put waaaay too much tomato relish pizza sauce on the pizza it really ruined my pizza and I won t order from here again because of this I had to scrape so much off resulting in my toppings falling off I also found the potato tots to be raw I couldn t eat them The buffalo wings are also very lazily put together A shame as papa johns used to be a favourite of mine

Tasty pizza but arrives too late

Tasty pizza but arrives cold after 1 hour They email you a 5 off code each time but the idea of ordering food is so you eat it out of the box not reheat it in the microwave Tonight was your last chance papa johns you ve lost another regular customer

Where s the ham

So although a very tasty pizza I ordered a medium sized original crust with tomato pizza base with pineapple mushrooms anchovies and ham Hang on to that last ingredient In half a pizza I had two yes two miniscule pieces of ham in the half I ate However there was 1 whole anchovy fillet per 8th of pizza so all was not lost But really 2 slithers of ham that were less than than the size of a five pence piece Come on Even on a buy one get one free Sunday Surely 9 per pizza can stretch to at least double that one per 8th slice

Margate Kent

When the Margate shop opened we were excited to use them 2nd order arrived cold so never ordered from them again my son came for dinner one evening and placed an order with them when arrived it was hot and lovely so carried on using them Tonight I place an order tracking said out for delivery for over 20 minutes phoned to see where order was arrived 5 minutes later on sharing it out it was cold Will be a long time now before using them again

Out of stock items not being substituted

Staff need to be made aware that if something is out of stock it would be common courtesy to notify the customer or offer an alternative rather than just not send anything at all Regardless of the value of that item A refund was given but the principal of the issue is still somewhat annoying If I had known I would ve got a dominos

Good overall

Generally people only leave negative reviews as they are usually people who complain a lot in life anyway I found Papa John s pizza to be quite nice My pizzas always arrive hot and on time The only negative is that the tomato sauce is nothing more than passata and you get a big taste of it as they just slap it on and is not incorporated into the whole taste of the pizza Dominos sauce is somewhat more subtle That s the only downside though

Papa Johns in Golden Sands Holiday Park Mabelthorpe

We placed 40 order via Haven Serve App We ordered two large pizzas with thin crust 4 drinks 2 sides and a dessert We received two large pizzas with the an original not thin crust only two drinks only 1 side and this inc chicken legs rather than wings and the correct dessert And it was delivered 20 mins late So terrible service However what we received was delicious and after I visited the branch they provided me with a full refund rather than the half I demanded So some terrible service but at least they went some way to putting it right hence 3 stars rather than 1

Bacon not BBQ

We ordered a chicken BBQ pizza as part of a deal from Preston Road Brighton Imagine our surprise when the pizza arrived without BBQ sauce Granted the restaurant was very apologetic and sent a replacement for free within fifteen mins Imagine our surprise when the second pizza was also devoid of BBQ sauce but had bacon on it as a consolation prize We re now 15 in credit but too scared to order anything else The manager was suitably exasperated and we wish his new apprentices all the best with their forthcoming alphabetical ingredients exams

Reward system is flawed

Reward system is flawed I am a single person ordering food for one But when I finally earn enough points to get a free pizza I am forced to add a further 14 worth of food just to get them to deliver it Just add a delivery fee if you must Though these types of pizza places are extremely expensive for pizza when you compare to authentic pizza restaurants charging 7-11
