Kelvin v good 16per month BB
The following was my initial review but fast forward to now April 2024 they have put the bill up by 2 30 I am deeply unhappy about this because I asked at least three times if 16 was definitely the price no matter what their reply was they are absolutely sure They say oh well it s a standard increase that is entirely irrelevant I was clearly told 16 was the price of the contract for its duration Kelvin at Pop Telecom was very cool he explained everything to me he called me back and together we worked out an agreeable deal we will see how the connection is when it is on so far very happy 16per month for 18 months and 10 for the Router quick efficient and pleasant In summary do not use pop telecom I hate liars Inflating an agreed price is evil

When I originally joined them I was happy with the service as they were the cheapest 21 5 as I remember First red flag I had no internet for a week tried to resolved it over the phone but kept being put trough different people and was going trough same steps which weren t working I was loosing my patience Needed the Internet for work so I had to pay for connection to a hot spot Then PT sends a guy over and don t inform me and I only find out few hours before when I am off to a place I volunteer every week and I rather not cancel as they count on me and it would be a short notice Luckily for me my neighbour agreed to let the guy in As it was their fault I asked for a reimbursement for that week as I paid double that month got a couple pounds back and explanation that they re not responsible for other providers prices blah blah blah Stupidly I renewed the contract for a higher price and prices were rising during the term significantly Now I am going trough a cancellation and it is a nightmare Nobody seems to know anything about my account they can t find the info about my notice etc it s a mess And their price is riddicolous now

Poor service and lack of coherent advice for customer service The service form your company is patchy
The service form your company is patchy to say the least unable to access my account using the links sent to me to allow me to check my bills that are inexplicably high on a regularly basis I am becoming sick and tired of the hassle trying to resolve issues The modem regularly switches to 3 lights

POP NEED TO BE UPFRONT ABOUT TERMS
Phoned POP today enquiring about transferring to them later this month and found them very helpful indeed BUT whereas other suppliers I spoke to assured me that I would not be subject to an in-contract inflationary increase until March April 2025 POP couldn t do this saying they were unsure whether an increase would be applied as at March April 2024 as well as a further inflationary 7 9 increase March April 2025 If they ve not decided by now It s already March 2024 I M ASSUMING THERE WILL BE a 2024 inflationary 7 9 INCREASE in addition to the further March April 2025 increase in which case the seemingly competitive rental will increase to a much less competitive level WITHIN DAYS of me moving to them DISAPPOINTING

I m really surprised they ve got so many positive reviews on Trust Pilot Look at Google reviews for a wider perspective I tried to set up broadband with this company Nothing works - website call centre web chat They couldn t give me an installation date and I got cold feet and cancelled in the cooling off period I feel this was a good decision To be fair they have cancelled and quickly refunded 43 which they said they needed for installation I never quite understood what it was for They couldn t supply an invoice

I used to love them but not any more
I would have given Pop Telecom 5 stars until I needed to end my contract The previously helpful and responsive service has turned into a shambolic mess I have had to tell them four times that I have ended my contract but they still keep trying to bill me and some of their approaches have been quite aggressive I still don t know if they have got their admin sorted as they don t keep their word by confirming things in writing

Tried to sort out my bill which on this Occasion I didn t understand why it was high I found the Customer Service agent dismissive and avoided answering any questions I had So I ask to speak with Manager I was then told No Manager was around The manager will contact me within 72 hours Am still waiting

Hard Sell and then invoicing for non returned equipment
I completed the term of my broadband contract and wished to give PopTelecom the required 30day notice When I tried to cancel their phone system leaves you waiting and waiting When I finally spoke with someone they kept putting me through to sales to try and keep me - I had already found a better deal elsewhere When they finally accepted my 30days notice the very next day I received an invoice for non return of equipment to be paid within 8days I am still going to need the equipment for the next 30days They make it very difficult to leave

More and more problems the longer you have it
Had no internet in a rural area still we all use copper internet so the lines are from owned and infrastructure is BT Randomly from 8 30pm 11th sept my connection just drops and has been out since 2 days ago As the services options weren t available at 8 30pm I only notified them a day ago It is random that only mine went out and not my neighbours The most jarring thing is knowing more than the customer service agent when diagnosing the problem if the people review our last online chat it is an utter shambles took them 2 hours to tell me it s the exchange when I notified it was probably that in the first 20 mins The most annoying thing is the fact they need to contact bt bt need to tell them then they tell me So when you have an issue it is never fixed in a day Only went with them cause it was a bargain now I m regretting everything First the router wasn t configed correctly on arrival so out of internet for 4 days before they realised then the speeds dropped to half then a random outage on my line only Personally stay clear as you can see by my reviews I don t review much so this is truly honest
