Booking in was dreadful

Booking in was dreadful I had prepaid room But change in system voided this Thankfully I was able to pay it again What if I had not had ability to do so Room was ok despite dreadful hotel decor Food was nice but bar prices are high 40 bottle of cheap Prosecco

Stay at these hotels on a regular basis

Stay at these hotels on a regular basis as they are convenient for work purposes with a modern gym and Starbucks on site For what they charge everything away from the gym Starbucks is disappointing and they clearly think their product can not be criticised I see from other reviews when you have any problem they clearly believe they are above having a polite human voice at the end of a head office landline The food is average with little vegetable options although the prices are reasonable The newer ones the club rooms are tiny to cram as many as possible in Have to ask for fried or poached eggs in the morning almost Holiday Inn Express standard as sometimes i have been told not possible Many a time no crisps behind the bar and also bottles of still water Older hotel rooms are dated but must admit if you look hard enough you can find Sky Sports on the TV in your room Too many wont let me put a Starbucks on my room in the morning for my work allowance to pay for as the awkward ones state you are booked in for just the day before when you book in and that s the groups policy which is rubbish as the nicer staff in the morning of which there are still a number are happy to move it across very reluctant to self check in as you have to put a personal card in and if you have a work allowance and they put it on your card by mistake good luck getting a refund and transfer if it wasn t for the Gym and Sky Sports in your room a Premier Plus room in a Premier Inn is just as good you get a coffee machine and fridge

Dudley Hotel

Stayed at the dudley Hotel for a wedding we needed a cot for the baby so they said they d put one in the room ready which they did but I wouldn t put a dog in it nevermind a baby it s basically what felt like plastic slats covered with cloth there was no mattress or padding to it what so ever so I would advise you take your own There is no baby change in the hotel anywhere when the baby needed changing i had to go up to my room everytime there is a restaurant in the hotel available to the public so I would think there would be a baby change available for there but no they don t have one there either Breakfast was very standard for the price I would expect a full cooked breakfast not just the basics There is no fried eggs hash browns black pudding or fried bread which have been available in cheaper hotels

I stayed for 2 nights at the Blackpool

I stayed for 2 nights at the Blackpool hotel It s definitely a little dated and could do with modernising however staff were really helpful and we had good service throughout The room was clean and comfortable but very warm they definitely need to install some air con We also had a room near some kind of boiler machine and so with the window open due to the heat it was a bit noisy Breakfast was average we ate in the restaurant for dinner but it is definitely more of a bar had really loud music on and very busy but we did stay over the weekend Overall I think good value for money for just a basic stay but it s not somewhere I d seek out to return to

Not luxury as it claims

I like that you get use of the pool and gym as a hotel guest and there is normally a starbucks on site Although many people are members so it s not as quiet as most other hotel gym swim facilities are Look out for hidden extras like overnight parking and breakfast and late check out fees - although you can get all these for free if you sign up to be a revolution member for free It describes itself as luxury hotel but I wouldn t say so I think premier inn has more The rooms are qute basic with only few hanger space shower only small desk area a couple of small drawers but no cups in room and no alternative pillow choices and just UHT milk and instant tea coffee Food options for breakfast and dinner quite limited too For what you get it is quite pricy

Everything great except bar staff and manager

Village Bristol - Really helpful check in staff Nice room Food good Beer and wine good and pretty well priced Watched World Cup football Overall very good and would get five stars if not for one broken piece The attitude of the bar staff and manager Happy to let long queues develop with only one till manned Customers asking for help shown disdainful attitude Lacking in care and basic customer service Mark perhaps needs to rethink the approach here Letting the side down big time

Good but no telephone in the room

My sister stayed in the village hotel in Leeds for a month Here is what she thinks about it The hotel location is good The area is quiet and near a cafe and a restaurant She can walk to Headingly shopping center and the local park Bus stop to town center is close by Reception is very helpful The atmosphere in the hotel is lively The negative points are no telephone in the room If she needs something she has to go to reception This is not practical Cleanliness is not very good Beds are changed once a week and no vacuuming The carpet is dusty Breakfast is the same food everyday She had to get refund to eat out

Village Hotel Swindon

I stayed at The Village hotel in Swindon last Friday When I arrived I booked in easily enough Self check-in really easy As soon as I got to my room it went downhill The bed hadn t been made and the room was a mess It hadn t been cleaned since that last person It was disgusting They did give me another room straight away to be fair but as you can imagine that was a shoddy start The rooms as I sampled 2 were ok Certainly need an upgrade You d expect Village Hotels to be mid to top end but this certainly wasn t The buffet breakfast was good Check again was easy and fast enough Parking was free which was a bonus too

Stayed at the village hotel Farnborough

Stayed at the village hotel Farnborough for our anniversary First look around the room and found lots of lower body hairs on the floor of the bathroom and in the shower Didn t want to complain as easily washed away We did complain however when my fiance starting ironing her dress and got a huge electric shock On inspection of the iron there was damage down to the wires which were exposed She didn t feel well so we went down to reception with the iron The front desk staff fetched the manager who asked if we wanted a new iron we were obviously not happy with the shrug off as this was taking up our anniversary evening which in the end lust us money for our pre paid taxi and deposit in our dinner booking in town which we couldn t attend as my partner felt too unwell and we didn t have time to make it there anyway He said the iron had to be sent for examination and someone would be in touch On the plus sides the front staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing

I recently booked a room after spending years visiting a number of village hotels I was put in disabled room at first everything was low there was pull cords everywhere and no bath and a very low bed I did not request this roomI complained I was told system was down it then took over hour to find me new room and I them had to move all my stuff and when I got to next room there was no bedside tabje I was not willing to move yet again as I was already late for a birthday meal If I m honest it really spoilt e experience it was 3 hours in and I still didn t have the room paid for -disappointed
