First time staying here

First time staying here got a room with a back view of tops of trees and a roof filled with rubbish Very Shabby hotel at Bury Not very helpful staff The outside lift for disability access because of all the steps up to the hotel was dirty and noisy The only thing that was any good was the food at breakfast that was nicely cooked Breakfast was set up in the bar area with a hot and cold buffet with the television on news channel The atmosphere was hostile and not welcoming at all Wouldn t stay again Really felt out of place being an older couple as there was lots of single gents and ladies around

Issues with Village Hotel Filton Bristol

I booked this hotel in Filton Bristol for two nights 29th-30th July 2022 However l did realise too far out for my grandsons wedding but could not cancel due to type of booking Ok so thought make the best of it but not impressed It felt more like a Gym with attached hotel section The restaurant was predominantly a burger joint with a few added extras This felt like it was stuck in the 1990 sThe App they use was down My duvet cover had a large coffee cup stain There was only normal coffee with no decaffeinated Not too impressed with housekeeping and in the toilets downstairs loo paper not available in some toilets In all not a pleasant stay and you really need a car I was reliant on family or taxis So people over a certain age beware of is for young aspiring to be fit people Not my best hotel experience for the money

Unfair notice period on gym cancellation and poor communication

I have been a member of Village Hotel gym in North Leeds for over a year The gym was closed entirely when we first had lockdown and now is on reduced service with no classes as we are Tier 3 Despite that they are still sticking to their 90 day notice period which I apparently moved onto after not cancelling straight away in August which I think given everything that has happened this year is really unfair They also sent out an email telling me that we were in Tier 1 or 2 so normal service would be resumed when Leeds is in Tier 3 so its only possible to book the pool at the moment I won t be returning they gave us an incentive of a free night stay and 20 a month restaurant vouchers but they don t have a branch where I might have wanted to stay in Northamptonshire and I cant eat most things on their menu

Walsall Village hotel

Walsall Village hotel Rooms are ok although can be noisy with doors banging late at night and early morning Reception staff are nice Gym reception lady was lovely Bar staff are VERY slow and often only one person servicing even when there are 6 or 7 people waiting Watching a pint of Guinness settle rather than serve someone while she was waiting Another girl just moving glasses around while people wait to be services and she acts like nobody is there Overall not a bad hotel but the bar staff let it down not all of them

Good value but deals don t work

I stayed in Chester St David s and Cheadle Hotels and on both occasions they charged me for items that should have been included Hotel staff were excellent but their central Customer Service were as much use as a ash tray on a motor bike Not checking and making a guess on why I had been charged Still not sorted

Leeds North

Leeds North - booked family room for my son and I Arrived in room and just a double bed sofa bed not made up and one set of towels Went to reception to complain and was advised house keeping would come to the room to resolve the issue 2 hrs later still no house keeping had to complain again then eventually the issue was resolved But sofa bed was covered in white marks floor stained Would not visit again although Leeds South is nice and would visit again

Don t trust the staff but if you like a complimentary disco then may be worth a stay

VILLAGE HOTEL BRACKNELLBooked one night stay to visit Legoland for my sons 5th birthday I will start with some positives - easy check in - room clean- easy parking The negatives really outweigh the positives on this front I m afraid We were allocated family room 152 incustomer service from Village Hotel which we have now since learnt is above the gym Woken up at 0615 by thumping music and this continued until 7am we d set our alarm for 7 30am so this was a very rude awakening My husband immediately went down to reception where a gentleman apologised and said he would issue a 50 refund I further clarified this at checkout with Noor on the front desk who agreed this would be actioned by the manager and I would receive a phone call that day Monday 16th September No phonecall so called the hotel again the next day and was told by Eleanor that refund would be looked into immediately and the manager will call me No contact Don t trust they will actually deliver what they promise Also avoid any rooms around 152 unless you want a very early morning disco as part of your stay

Poor customer service

Poor customer service Didn t really tell us anything on arrival and complicated system to find the room which no one explained The toilet was broke and made a noise all night which we did report and they said they d fixed Also the sockets and lights in the bathroom didn t work so we weren t even able to have a shower The swimming pool and services were nice but won t be booking here again

Good staff shame about the bar restaurant

The room was fine about the same standard as Premier Inn the pool was nice if full the breakfast was good and so were the staff So why no higher a score The bar which was the restaurant is a noisy sports bar where the sports commentaries were so loud it was impossible to sit comfortably We retreated with our expensive food to the quieter business meeting area which was quiet but obviously not designed for informal family gatherings Would recommend to anyone really into sports but I won t be going back any time soon despite the nice staff

All through the night was loud music

Village hotel - North Leeds All through the night was loud music people shouting and please running around After going down to the reception to find somebody to speak to I spoke to a man in the restaurant who told me he will pass it on to another member of staff Absolutely ridiculous Nothing was done about it I had hardly any sleep
