We enjoyed the experience and the customer service However along the way what was revealed in the documents I signed Electronically was different at the closing regarding the amount of the house paymentWhile this would not make us not recommend American Financing it was somewhat disappointing More information would have been helpful but the experience overall was good

Giving 4 stars due to the lack of communication with our mortgage consultant We were not having questions answered via email or phone no calls back as well I am however extremely impressed with out processor Jennifer She stepped in and saved this loan process for us Answering every question we had not only by email but would also pick up the phone and make sure we understood every step and what was next We would go through American Finance again specifically because of Jennifer

I had a couple of complaints It took a very long time to complete my refi and I had to write in a number of times to get a response and or keep the ball moving Also I was assured I would be able to have an 8 year loan term only to find out later it had to be 10 years That was annoying Otherwise it was fine and the people were very nice

This was a refi headed for a bad ending but was saved with a even better result than first promised Our initial mortgage consultant started things well but after the approval things became quiet for a few weeks too quiet For reasons we don t need or want to know our initial consultant had to take a leave in the middle of our refi Trevor Stucky took over in the midst of this and discovered another negative surprise on our closing date The company that financed our solar panel purchase a couple years ago didn t structure it as a conventional loan but as a second mortgage without disclosing this to us This affected our home s valuation and put Trevor in the very difficult position of bringing us bad news literally a few hours before closing Within a couple of hours Trevor came up with an alternate proposal that resulted in less cash back but a full payoff of the solar loan It s a solution that s better for us long-term than what was first proposed That ability to find a better way makes Trevor a true asset to American Financing I d rate our refi experience 3 stars based on the first 30-45 days Once Trevor stepped in and got his head wrapped around what was happening and why he delivered a full 5-star solution

My re-fi with American Financing went quite well despite some minor hiccups because of self induced financial parameters In addition one other thing must be mentioned the associate I dealt with Craig Gardner was exceedingly helpful in aiding me in resolving those hiccups with the least complications his efforts need to be mentioned

We closed a loan through American Financial in July 2020 Things were difficult everywhere with the pandemic but Justin was able to schedule and perform the actions and still adhere to all the restrictions in place After closing Justin contacted us again in November to offer an even lower rate for refinancing again I was a little skeptical about being able to close another refi after only 4 months and how much it would cost and what it might do to our credit score Justin explained everything completely and that the cost would be nothing or very little It all worked out and lowered our payment another 75 monthly with no cost to us It was ver worthwhile Justi was a great representative to work with

Both John Hazel and the loan processor Lisa Jefferson were outstanding You are not just a number to them but a actual person They worked hard through several obstacles to complete my refinance on time Top notch caring people with excellent customer service

American Financing was great to deal with Our refi took longer than anticipated but that was due to the appraiser taking a long time to get the report done Our loan officer John Hazel worked hard and made sure we didn t lose our quoted rate while we waited When the report finally came in we closed very quickly Since we had a holiday weekend we were up against and wanting to make sure we got the closing done quickly John worked to get our closing done the very next day I would highly recommend American Financing and John Hazel They have been fantastic

This was our second time working with American Financing and our mortgage consultant Chance was amazing He walked us through the process in a matter of minutes and kept us informed of throughout the entire process Any question or concern we had Chance had it covered before we even had a chance to ask Thank you Chance for your professionalism we will be recommending you to our friends and family

Nathan Rogers Sales Manager and Bradley Gertz Processor were THE BEST I wanted to get my loan finished up by year s end 2021 and they made it happen by November with a great intertest rate and awesome customer care After 2 re-fi loans with Nathan I will never go anywhere else
