Bitstamp is one of the few companies that is very professional serious and rigorous in the crypto space Their process is at the highest standards in terms of customers verification It is normal that the whole verification procedure is quite a pain and it can be long especially when compared to the verification process done by other companies in crypto However those other companies and platforms where the verification is fast e pain-free are definitely not complying with the UK AML and FCA regulations Therefore by using those companies you are at risk that they will be shut down by the regulators at any point With Bitstamp although the verification process is not that simple I agree that they should do more work to simplify it customers can at least sleep well because Bitstamp is doing everything they can possibly do to get the UK regulators happy If UK would ever ban crypto companies in the future I am sure Bitstamp will be the last one to survive I also open a ticket yesterday and it got resolved in less than 24h This is outstanding compared to other platforms in the crypto space Bitstamp has also phone numbers from US UK and Luxemburg I think this is a great company

EDIT They solved my problem after almost 2 weeks so i changed my review to 4 stars The only thing I would have to say would be to improve the processing times for sending documents Thanks for solving my problem

After all they fixed it I deleted my negative review because after long correspondence and another test in Zoom they returned me the function to withdraw my coins and unblocked my account Otherwise it was fast and simple

One of the great fear in crypto payment is transfer to private wallets Fearing mostly the funds lost in the etherland Proof of transaction with TXid is clear Authentication is thorough Biometric to log in 2-step timed Google authicator for the withdrawal and finally an email confirmation to finalize the transaction I got technical support on a weekend with the issue resolved transfer from my bank in less than 6 hours In the middle of the night

I ve had issues with the app a couple of times now which is why I ve given 4 stars however the service I received to fix the issue both times was to a good level A little slow at times perhaps but provided you give the team all the information they need they will sort your problem quickly and are responsive Ignore all the bad reviews if you do KYC then you won t have any issues I dealt with a few people over the phone all of who were very helpful when I was having issues logging in to my account and was very happy so felt the need to write this review Good exchange overall

My experience with Bitstamp has been an overall very good experience The big thing here from my paradigm is security Bitcoin ethos is de-centralisation and financial freedom from our current system With bitstamp the security put in place can initially come across as an attempt to remove the de from de-centralisation However you soon realise that it s not a wall but a safety barrier so the security in place soon becomes a credit to bitstamp not a negative So if you re an honest noob its all good

The support is simply amazing and the taxes are very doable Support is definitely way better than Binance Definitely a million times And the good support is the reason why I m moving to them Had questions and the support answered within the same day Urban was kind and comprehensive

Its not about BITSTAMP BITSTAMP is trustworthy company But there is an issue with global Goverment regulators which has been pressed on all exchanges with cryptocurrency due to upcoming taxation law for cryptocurrencys in 2022 Current temporary issue with withdraw has nothing to do with BITSTAMP BITSTAMP just want to comply with the law they want to be 100 legit and transparent Best RegardsRobert Balant

Good morning everyone and dear audience who might want to get involved with cryptocurrencies and blockchain I usually don t respond to reviews but I think this time it s worth it I am from Greece who decided to deal with cryptocurrencies It is the third platform in a row that I enter Among the other platforms that I have registered and deposited money I don t know where my money is at the moment nor my crypto-coins I have the feeling that I have lost them or maybe they have lost them to me Here however things are different and I explain The support I have received from the bitstamp team was PERFECT DURABLE AND RELIABLE in reasonable time at least for me and I did not know the language well nor the logic of cryptos I find it to be the best support by light years from other companies not only this site and anywhere else and believe me I have a lot of trading and buying and sellingThe 5 stars are probably too few and if there were all the stars in the galaxy I would include them I hope that google translate will be able to accurately translate into English what I have written Have a great day Best regards A P

One of the best cryptocurrency exchanges for me personally They constantly adding new cryptocurrencies in to the list Easy to buy and sell iOS app very simple and convenient What i don t like is that i can t see all historical performance of cryptocurrencies only from specific date when it was added in to the exchange
