I bought some bitcoin back in 2013 and have kept them on this site since When I started withdrawing some of it my account was terminated Currently all my funds about 30 000 dollars are being held hostage by this company Update Received my money after about 30 days the process of getting it back was horrible and I wouldnt recommend anyone using this site

I ve had an account for several years last week I made a deposit which took way longer than usual to be credited in my account so I asked them if they received my deposit They terminated my account and in one day my deposit was back in my account but they charged a big fee as costs They didn t even provide an explanation on why my account was terminated they are not reliable anymore

Good service No problems for years Then they started requesting documentations of source of Crypto aso Told them I m doing Bitstamp only back and forth to my Ledger if anything I send them my logs over and over still my acc is locked and they give me automatic replies Once I get my funds out I m leaving Bitstamp for sure

I wanted this posted on both review portals Avoid if possible 5-7 business day crypto withdrawals not easily disclosed

Used to be good This is one of the oldest crypto exchanges and used to be decent but now it s all littered with shitcoins and absurd KYC procedures Not zero stars as some decent service was provided in the past

They will hold your money for 7 days This is the worst exchange for a variety of reasons But the biggest one is they do not inform you of their seven day waiting period That is the worst thing that you will have to deal with on this ridiculous exchange Coinbase is instant with a debit card Avoid this website like the plague it is

The support people at bitstamp are all wonderful with the exception of one person That person is Christiana She receives phone calls early in the morning and talk to English speaking American users of Bitstamp Three times that I spoke to Christiana she outright refused to transfer me to a specialist that I needed to speak with in order to understand the security verification process On Tuesday May 16 at approximately 11am central time again she stated over and over again that there is nothing that she can do to help me When I insisted that I needed to speak to a verification process Christiana ended the call with me She disconnected the phone call No other Bitstamp employee behaves this way All other Bitstamp employees are very helpful and patient and try to help customers with questions the customers have Christiana doesn t seem to care about customer problems and questions I have to wait until later in the day when her shift ends so that I can get help Customer support should not be that way

My account was suddenly suspended and I need to re-submit my info Which by itself is okay for me But now they want me to upload information and proof of things I find very suspicicous For example where I buy my crypto they want screenshots from other exchanges and stuff Which is HIGHLY inappropriate STAY AWAY

Sending money to an external wallet is way too difficult they ask for a photo as proof that the address is yours and have to approve it first The photo is often rejected And you always have to wait a long time What remains is SEPA withdrawal that costs 3 euros Really bad not a nice place to put your money on They also have a lot of bad reviews regarding this as a problem They also use high minimum amounts which makes it even worse

I give them 2 stars because their API works However the application asked me to add Google Auth which was already added but okay i add again now i have 2 Bitstamp Auths on my Google Authenticator When they ask me to validte the auth i tried around 20 times to write in the auth from the auth app Im working as a software engineer i know what I m doing their platform is broken Also when pressing buttons like logging in etc etc the website is unresponsive for 3-5-10 seconds before anything happens no loading indicators or similar
