Not worth the price if you have an alternative

They are crazily expensive when you live outside of the major cities - and they add about a dollar a month to the cost of our plan without explaining why and as we have no competitor here for them we have no choice than accept it or go without internet cable phone their connection however isn t reliable and their phone and internet helpdesk is unresponsive or when you find someone not very helpful However when you manage to get a technician to come out they are knowledgeable and great customer service advocates So because of their technicians I d give them a bonus star

Even the employees get frustrated

I m an employee of comcast and we get an employee rated service as a company perk My fiance has been back and forth on the phone with the 1800xfinity CS reps getting nowhere I ve been in DM s with the employee service person We re all frustrated Employee service used to be easy and awesome just say you were taking over someone elses existing account and put in all the information needed Not anymore Now you have to jump through hoops of fire to do that You have to contact regular customer support or go into a store to do a transfer of ownership But customer service is useless with this stuff They are either undertrained or so underpaid they just dont care to do anything above and beyond their cookie cutter expectations and training cant say i blame them - All we re trying to do is transfer ownership of accounts so i m the account holder this is needed for me to change it into an employee account Customer service doesnt even know what their own employee services are Do they not get that benefit Anytime i ve ever called they are deer in headlights just dont tell them its about an employee account they dont need to know We asked 3 different people in multiple ways to make me the account holder and all they did was put my name on the account That s not the same as owning the account just like any service of this nature phone email SS are all required Do they not know that Do they not know what details are required for an account to be under a persons ownership Even the person who handles the employee accounts said i could do it over the phone with customer service and CS said nah we dont know how to do that you ll have to drive to the store - Comcast from an employee and customer perspective- Get your people processes and procedures on the same page and pay them enough to care Ideally bring back the ability to do account ownership take overs for your employees having to deal with Customer service who knows nothing about the employee service is a nightmare Stop making us deal with people who dont know what they are talking about This was just today I ve been through similar and worse with this situation in the past 1 star for company practices ethics training knowledge bumped to 2 stars for at least having decent internet service that we ve rarely had drops or dips in

COMCAST - EVERYTHING other than the tv programing When there R no issues stinks They need to up their game

With the exception of excellent programming and a very well set up and user friendly television service everything about this company is horrid and has been for years You can hardly ever get anyone on the phone If after an extremely long wait Unless you are signing up for new service you are actual able to get some on the phone it s usually a call center in South East Asia where they are always nice polite and speak english But when there is a problem or issue that is out of the norm of easy issues to resolve they often have difficulty comprehending english well enough to understand and resolve issue in a timely fashion So any resolution of a problem is a nightmare and often takes hours This is especially problematic since Comcast Xfinety intentionally try and make getting someone on the phone so difficult time consuming and down right painful you are forced to attempt to resolve your issue over the internet However if the issue you are in fact calling about is with your on-line account signing into your account so you can indeed address your other issue it s near impossible to get anything done and is generally one of the most maddening experience you will ever have in your life time Trying to resolve your issue on line when you can t sign in and the website will often not even recognize your street address even after correcting or modifying the address it still won t take the address or the codes they email assuming you can get that to work with any regularity don t work In other words the internet system they strong arm you into using since you cannot get anyone on the phone is very problematic Especially from an IPad Signing in on line and or changing a password is so difficult and because everyone ends up so flustered and angry For the amount Xfinity charges they should really spend some time making their on-line precedence s more user friendly Maybe the techs who design the the website should try and use their soft ware as though they know nothing and assign themselves a bunch of basic tasks so they can improve the experience and 80 of the people with issues with Comcast don t end up completely flushed and hate the company

Lol 200 gift card but wait there s more

Lol I was told I would receive a 200 gift card for switching from T-Mobile to Comcast but of course they leave out the details of how and when lol They will do anything to gain more customers Truth is You must maintain the minimum required level of service from the eligible offer no disconnects for 90 days from when the service was activated with a TransferredNumber from another carrier Visa Prepaid cards are mailed out within approximately 16 to 18 weeks 120 days from the completed Activation date You should receive Visa Prepaid cards within seven to 10 days from the shipped date Once all eligibility requirements are met the Visa Prepaid card will be mailed by USPS to your billing address - Also they never tell you you re signing up for a promotion and after 24-36 months your internet bill will go from 55 to 80 a month As if customers won t just leave after the promotion because they feel like they ve been scammed I hate companies like this Smh misinformation Oh well I will take advantage of the promotion for 24 months and find another company with better service and customer service Comcast will tell you ANYTHING to sign up with them They are offering so much stuff now because they truly can t compete with the other companies and so many customers are leaving I had them in the past 3 years ago and now I remember why I went to Verizon It was a little more expensive 79 99 but at least they were honest with me about everything

I m giving Xfinity 1 5 stars

I m giving Xfinity 1 5 stars because after they cancelled their own technician on me - without notifying me - three different times for reasons unknown I actually discovered the local cable company in DC is over 120 cheaper per month than what Xfinity was supposed to install for me Never would ve known had Xfinity s customer service not been so horrendous and cancelled my cable internet home security install this morning without telling me So thanks for cancelling your own cable set up Xfinity you lost a customer of nearly a decade and I also discovered a local cable internet business I much rather use than Xfinity along the way Xfinity will also conveniently forget multiples time to cut your cable off after you move I guess they now refuse to set up their own equipment too For two weeks I tried to set up Xfinity but their customer service literally cancels appointments because that s how incompetent they are Lol thanks Xfinity for all the frustration Done with you forever XOXO

Xfinity in my opinion is not the best

Xfinity in my opinion is not the best I haven t found a better internet service but i m sure one day I can They are not reliable and never give you the truth I first off had to wait a year for them to install internet into my home because they kept pushing my installation Then for a year I was overcharged for internet Now in this new year I fought to get a fair price and when that was agreed on they overcharged me again I spoke on the phone with the agents and they kept lying and not giving me the full truth on why I was overcharged and why i m not getting my agreed on monthly bill Finally in the end I had to compromise on the overcharge and got the confirmation of the correct bill We ll see next month if they actually give me the correct bill amount
