I don t typically write reviews for things like these but I really think that Cushions practices are deceiving They re upfront about the fact that the fee negotiation is extra and that you re only getting a portion of the fee back because they take their cut You put your banking information in and they tally up your fees You agree that their 5 fee is non refundable and you agree that the fee reversals are not guaranteed But only after that do they tell you if they re even going to bother disputing fees for you or not If you have a difficult bank they will not even try to dispute the fees It feels pretty deceptive

Unwilling unable to fix Plaid connection issues
Several cards that they say they work with won t actually connect with Plaid so they are unable to even pretend that they can help I brought the issue up to them several months ago and their answer is that it has been escalated and to add a different card After 2 months of no changes I reached back out to be told there was no timeline for when it would be fixed System is broken therefore worthless

They literally did NOTHING Happily I always called my bank and got my fees refunded myself AND Cushion never had the audacity to charge to their fees but I literally paid for a year of cushion when the plan existed and it s was quite a waste of money I contacted support over 2 months ago to see why they never refunded any fees and I never heard back Talk about a failed and flawed system and guarantee they won t give you a refund That s a hundred dollars spent on NOTHING

If i could give a zero rating i would They refuse to answer any message i sent Thet would not negotiate any fees what so ever even after i begged them to do so but they had no probem taking my money to upgrade service in order for them to negotiate which was a complete lie im still waiting for them to either respond to me or negotiate fees do not get caught in this scam like i did

Completely ineffective for major banks
They only communicate with haste when selling you on the services or extending them for longer Then the waiting game begins with updates every few months that they are still waiting Bank of America Capital One and several others I use all refuse to communicate directly with them I paid for their highest cost options and still nothing Then they have the audacity to tell you maybe it will work next year and further pitch more

I m glad it s only 5 a yr
I understand that they cannot control the bank refunds However I wish there would be regular updates every 15 30 45 and 90 days I shouldn t have to wait 90 days and I have to constantly keep checking for myself Also in the past when I did overdraft they would send an email or a text and would be like oh you re close to overdrafting However by that time it was too late already

They need to be more clear on there services I signed up only to find out it not what was mentioned I asked for a refund within a half hour They said no and to enjoy the service for the month So they got the fee and did nothing for me Beware of this company I find it hard to believe people s post saying there happy with the service only after a month or two When the site says may take up to three months to see any changes in your credit score Beware Beware

This company uploaded all of my financial credit and Buy Now Pay Later information using Plaid and my Gmail account prior to denying me an account without any explanation I have good credit and pay all of my bills on time so to be denied without an explanation is frustrating to say the least I contacted customer service and they emailed me back without giving me an explanation either I asked to be contacted by a manager and supervisor to see what they ll say I at least want to know that all of my private information will be deleted from their databases if they re not going to open an account for me and not even tell me why I ll keep my rating at 1 star and update it if they provide me with better customer service than they have If you want to make things right then tell me exactly why I was denied an account They told me it had nothing to do with credit history but rather a fraud prevention measure We cannot give specific details for security purposes Fraud prevention measures What does that even mean How could someone use a credit building company for fraudulent purposes And whose security
