EDIT The scolding message they left on this review is a case in point When I immediately pick up the phone and handle a fee the same day it hits Cushion cannot claim it was in progress and in fact the dashboard clearly showed this The takeaway is this service is for people who live with the privilege of not paying attention and being able to wait If you have to watch your accounts carefully and get your refunds fast it won t work for you And they will victim blame if you complain about it --Original review Unfortunately not all banks work with this service and the negotiations are slow if you live paycheck to paycheck you probably need your refunds ASAP and pick up the phone yourself - they will see the refund and claim it in your fees refunded total and send you a scolding email on top not to do that which is rather jarring That said they have caught fees I didn t even think to question and those add up as well Overall I did end up at least breaking even so at least there s that I won t be renewing if that tells you anything

I really didn t know what to expect from this service I don t have late fees or overdraft fees etc Just interest on credit cards Within 24 hours of signing up they got me a 217 refund on some interest charges Edit after a few months this service was super spammy They pose as you and send messages over and over again to all your connected accounts I asked them to stop contacting one of my cards about interest fees I was billed as the lender was being contacted every 2 to 4 weeks and asked me to stop harassing them Cushion told me to not interfere with the process and that they knew what they were doing I asked them to cancel my account and they said they did but now I get emails constantly telling me to reconnect my accounts There is no way to unsubscribe from these emails apparently I ve asked to be removed from their list and still get emails Oh and they give you points worth 5 to give them a 5 star review on Trustpilot

I like the concept Cushion we re able to refund me some funds but the majority was not Not sure if will come back after this year

Cushion works well with banks I think my bank happens to be very difficult to work with I have received over 700 hundred dollars out of over 4000 of my bank has charged

The app can get you refunds but unfortunately you can t cash out unless you have points you need 1000 points to cash out 10 You can do this by referrring people but they have to buy a package

In 2019 they got me almost 175 in interest charges back In 2020 it was barely 50 Having to constantly re authorize my credentials made the process so long and I wasn t satisfied last year Unfortunately will not renew

I supposedly got a 300 refund in December but it never showed up in my account I m autistic and I m not going to be calling the credit union myself to see what s up We ll see if this next 30 refund comes through

Its up in the air with them they claim they help negotiate fees but yet they took credit for money I got back on my own in my account They claim they got me back 187 50 but I got that back myself by depositing money into my account so they actually did not do a thing but have it on my account like they did I get it every situation is different and every negotiation is different but don t claim you are helping someone when you did not negotiate anything at all I got those fees back myself by making a deposit

I loved Cushion at first they got me A LOT of money back But I don t like the new fee genius thing I don t see how it s in my best interest Before I paid a one time annual fee for unlimited negotiations Now I have to pay a 39 commission on each refund I get And you want to start charging me commissions before my first year that I paid for is even over Not cool

They good but it seems like they work on acts every 6 months so you really getting played if you paid the annual fee
