Weather thwarts a port of call but Fredo is on the ball

Last minute change of destination due to Valencia disaster but we saw La Sagrada Familia instead Evening entertainment excellent and food very good

A chance to see Norway our first cruise

Our first cruise primarily to see the Northern Lights but once aboard that kind of became secondary to the whole experience We thought that this would be our only cruise a chance to see Norway but having been aboard and experienced the warmth and attentiveness of the truly hard-working crew we were blown away and will definitely look at doing a future cruise with Fred Olsen We had a truly fabulous week as a family with one slightly moody teenager and would have no hesitation in recommending this Company to anyone who will listen

The first cruise experience was brilliant The suite we had was spacious and kept spotlessly clean All of the staff were friendly and helpful and made sure we had everthing we needed at all times We loved the Balmoral and intend to sail with her again

Stepping back in time

my cruise was like stepping back in time in terms of the friendlyness service cleanliness and just aboout everything It was so wonderful to be on the ship The food was fabulous as was the service How many times do you board a cruise now and get to eat while you are waiting for your room to be ready This line does an absolutely wonderful job

Great staff from start to finish

Great staff involved from The port of Tyne check in to their check out too such a great bunch of well organised friendly efficient people The Balmoral is clean and for a small ship seems very spacious We had a great time even though the weather was disappointing I d never fly again if Fred Olsen did hot cruises from the Tyne

A first cruise with fred Olsen

This was our first cruise and fred olsen provided a wonderful experience The cabin exceeded our expectations and the cabin staff were great Our waiter at our designated table was very attentive and provided prompt and timely service All of the staff were well turned out polite and gave excellent service The tours we booked were interesting and value for money The weather was what should be expected in November with a near gale crossing the North Sea The snow topped peaks of the seven Sisters made a good photographic backdrop The weather in Alta was cold with a good depth of snow which enhanced the arctic experience The coach trip on studded tyres on snowy and icy roads was a great experience The Northern lights were fantastic and they appeared on cue as soo as we got out of the coach I would book another cruise with Fred Olsen when the finances allow Thank you for a great memorable trip
