Switch 4 Weeks Counting

Switch has still not completed after 4 weeks Lots of wasted time writing emails and on the phone with zero progress I m now with them for electricity and my old supplier for gas Paying more than I should due to the price increase and inability to log meter readings

Poor customer service since the new

Poor customer service since the new website went live Not seen a statement in 3 month and the email response is shocking when I reach out for support bland single line answers refer to an email months ago I find it try to register and it does not recognise my postcode code I give up cancelling

Takes money despite confirming cancellation

Despite me cancelling within the specified time and having the company confirm this - they still helped themselves to money via direct debit and then took days to return Result was leaving me in minus figures for a while Company asked Trust Pilot for more details and I have emailed them coping in the relevant emails

Do not touch these cowboys

Do not touch these cowboys Tiny company with poor customer service no option for a smart meter and overcharge you every month by over estimating and ignore your readings you give every month Now i ve decided to switch over a month ago they re still witholding my 400 credit and have just taken another 155 when i moved to EDF a month ago So 555 of my money sat in their accont making them interest indtead of being in my account BEWARE

Awful

What a terrible company Signed up to these shysters about a month ago and everything seemed fine until there was a problem with my gas smart meter not submitting readings So I manually read the meter and submitted my gas reads via their website and everything seemed good until I received an email from saying your account has been closed I called the customer service number to be told we can only supply your electricity but not your gas i asked for explanation but the representative could not give me one Now with Octopus Stay well away and pay a few quid more

Awful Don t bother

Tried to take an estimated amount of over 500 within days of signing up from our account Explained this would empty it out Emails answered sarcastically No offer of help Cancellation email reply began with HEY John Unprofessional

Be aware and sure before thinking of moving across

Started the process of moving across to Home Energy Rang then emailed because we were unable to make an account but kept receiving emails telling us to set one up There was a problem with the page Four days later still in two week cooling off period and still no further on realised we d actually be better staying with current as they d changed their tariffs Tried to cancel but was an absolute nightmare as they d already taken us over To my mind shouldn t have been an issue so early in cooling off period but took hours of calls to both suppliers before being able to escape Continued receiving please set up your account direct debit emails one of the direct debit emails sounded almost threatening Make sure you definitely want to move across before you start

AVOID

company did a estimate due to me not sending readings on time they came back with three times the amount i use in a month for 3 days took serveral weeks to have that debt removed now they added another debt saying its from previous company before switch which is impossible as i was a new tenant and i paid it off even though i should not have had too AVOID THIS COMPANY i am forced to pay this debt again

I was switched by mistake from Home

I was switched by mistake from Home Energy to Octopus from the 15th of November First inkling I had about it was when Home Energy wrote to me around the 20th of November Contacted them Told me to sort it out with Octopus Sorted it out somebody gave my address by mistake Was switched back to Home Energy on the 10th of December Since then problem after problem I kept on paying the direct debit through all this Home Energy repaid me 406 at the beginning of December that was the credit I had on my account with them Then they decided god knows why that I still owed them money from November although this amount had alredy been debited and I can prove it I have been arguing with them for over 2 weeks now without getting anywhere They changed the amounts on their internet site but I had taken downloads of my bills and can prove it but still trying to charge me for electricity and gas I never used I still don t have the bill for December and it is now the 16th of January I know only that according to them I am now 237 in debit how mystery as I cannot have my bill for December Want to know the best one They did a bill where they charged me for electricity and gas between the 10th and the 31st of November from the 15th to the 30th of November I was not even with them but with Octopus I think some of their staff got a very nice bonus out of their customers money

Stay Well clear of this rogue company

never use this company unless you can jump to their demands if you don t supply your meter reading on the day or on time which they specify then prepare for them to over estimate your bills and never take your reading into consideration even though you have proof shocking service and I will be moving with immediate effect
