Poor Customer Service - Lack of contact

Sold my bike on the 15th March since then I have tried on a daily basis to call and cancel insurance I have had no answer despite holding on for up to 40 minutes this morning I actually managed to get someone on live chat but they cant help and I have to call the office How can this be resolved as I am now paying for insurance that is not required Didn t have this issue when purchasing or renewing renewing

The company s request for payment through the automatic renewal process was detected as FRAUD by Barclay Card and my credit card was blocked as a result causing big problems I had to phone up several times to sort this out taking up several hours of waiting on the phone

Process was poor I got quotes snd then a week later chose policy on line It was a Saturday which may have slowed things up I had an email to say that there was an error at the payment section of the transaction but you took the money out of my bank anyway I called customer service on the Saturday and they were kind and tried to help but not able to resolve the issue Eventually on the Monday very helpful man in customer services sorted it out for me Occasions that I contacted customer services I was held in the queue for around 40 minutes which is really unacceptable

So I rang to make a change to my policy and in the automated message it said use live chat as it will be quicker so after answering all the questions I was told my insurer won t make tge changes so I ll have to get a quote from another insurer they use only to be told they can t quote over live chat so I d have to call and go through it all again

You need to facilitate online renewal Spending 12 - 15 minutes on the phone to pay is unnecessary and would put me off in the future I was offered auto renewal in the future if I allowed you to retain my card details I don t want to do that I just want to be able to renew online make any necessary renewal declaration and pay

Payment Error Even though money is pending in bank detail Ref 678-2D5-CB5

I tried to purchase an insurance and paid for it However it came up with an error message Sorry an error occurred once I paid for it I read previous review and someone had exactly the same issue few days ago So I checked my bank details the money was pending for payment Once I manage to Chat with an operator it was confirmed that transaction went through even though the error message said something different At least someone needs to look into the payment issue

Ok but stopping auto-renew less good

I had an easy experience generally with Mackenzie Hodgson inc a good quote pleasant staff and straightforward online insurance process But two things weren t so great First they are a broker not the underwriter While not a big issue it does mean that the name taking the money from your bank bears no resemblance to the insurer Not unusual amongst insurers Second the system to stop auto-renewal While they have three ways to do this call online chat or online form only the call function is straightforward The online chat button does not appear on their website from a mobile phone The online form would be great but the headers for each section are in the same font colour as the background both black meaning it isn t clear what to write in each box I highlighted and copied where I imagined the text was and pasted it into notes to see what each header said Once completed and submitted the form disappears with just a thank you line nothing to confirm your policy is cancelled at time of writing I haven t received an email either so you don t know if it is cancelled or not Very frustrating

Rang up to add a bike to my policy

Rang up to add a bike to my policy after being passed to 3 different advisors was told that I couldn t add a bike that was under 15 years old so was passed to a 4th advisor to take out a new policy

Price is ok to start with then once

Price is ok to start with then once they add things on it goes up 105 to 159 then tells you can t use bike for travel to work so ok how much 159 to 270 excuse me it s a 125 cc bike not a motor car or a transit which is cheaper deserves 1 star for that hike in price ridiculous
