We sold the house so I m happy

We sold our house through Miles Barr Ramsgate Initial impressions were great at the valuation Once the property was listed I did feel I had to correct a lot of details in the description push for changes to photo order and wording to help generate some interest as everything had gone quiet Happily we did get an acceptable offer and after that we were kept updated by the Senior Sales Progressor Becky White who I thought was fantastic especially in the last push to get everyone in the chain ready for exchange - not sure we could have done it so quickly without her Thanks

Miles and Barr were an efficient

Miles and Barr were an efficient company for the purchase of my property I was a bit disappointed to have to pay for my identity checks and not have any option but to do that other services I used just swallowed that cost themselves I was assigned a wonderful Sales Advisor Shelley Webster who updated me regularly on the process answered any questions needed and called me to discuss any of my worries which was so reassuring She was so supportive and made the process so much easier She is a real asset to the company and made everything much less stressful

Take responsibility for your choice of solicitor

This is my second experience with M B in 6 months I was happy to go with them a second time even happier that I didn t use the solictors that they regularly work with the second time around but successfully worked with Girlings instead It s true there are a few bolt-on costs for photos ID checks EPC rating but we were made aware of them before signing the contract Apart from a bit of a slow start when you re so keen to lock in an offer the committed and longer term staff were always very helpful Having worn Rebecca Gravener out with the previous sale her help was less necessary this time All the same once again she was on the case before the rest of us every step of the way Lynette also charming and helpful when the buyers visited for a final view

On the whole a good experience

Can not fault the start of the process The Sales staff were brilliant we felt they were honest and helpful always coming back to us when we had questions They didn t really have to sell our house as we were lucky enough to sell to our first viewer We were not impressed by the all be it indirect pressure we had from their panel solicitors despite our clearly stating we would not use them they kept trying to get us to and labelling it as a mistake if that is the case take note of our instruction that we are not using them the first time and do not continue to try and get us to sign up with panel solicitors Once sold although our Sales Progressor was very friendly and a nice person we felt everything slipped from this point we could rarely actually speak with her we could always leave a message but she rarely called back preferring it seemed to email She did eventually provide an adequate service and get things moving for us but we felt only because we would not give up and continuously chased things However despite the disappointment of the after sale process on the whole we had a good experience the staff were all friendly and we can understand why M B have a good reputation We would definitely recommend them as they are on the whole very good at what they do

Professional and Courteous Service

I used Miles and Barr to sell my House in Thanet because I used Miles and Barr to buy the same house over 20 years ago How s that for loyalty The total process took around 10 months from the house being on the market to final completion date Dec 2024 Here are my thoughts Pros The team were courteous and very professional I used their recommendations for house sale Solicitor and EPC Assessor Who both turned out to be rather good For me the star of the Show was Alice Saker who escorted potential buyers around my house come rain or shine Alice was always there polite and professional and when a buyer made an offer Alice was there to offer me professional advice for which I was very grateful and I ended up with a satisfactory sale Cons Not much to write about here Except that I had to pay for the photos that went on to market my house which I found a little strange I d recommend Mile and Barr if you re thinking of selling your house in East Kent

DONT USE THESE SOLICITORS CONVEYANCER

i appointed bradley brooke from canterbury branch to sell my house they where professional and kept me up to date with queries we finally concluded a sale and that is when my 12 month nightmare started the buyers solicitors BRASHERS TIM LANCASTER was slow and kept asking for information which was not applicable in my frustration i arranged conference calls with both parties to resolve these issues and after 12 months of queries and extra fees of 600 gbp my solicitors said we cannot go forward with this transfer as TIM LANCASTER IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE DOCUMENTS WE GAVE HIM so the sale was cancelled and we readvertised the property and we resold the property which was registered on march 31st TOOK 8 WEEKS NOT 12 MONTHS bradley brooke all good but if you are buying or selling a property in CANTERBURY DONT USE BRASHERS AND PARTICULAR TIM LANCASTER

I feel it right to give my views on my

I feel it right to give my views on my recent house sale Having used other estate agents got no where with people through the door in a difficult time I changed to Miles Barr and that all changed we got more people looking at our property The end result was a sale within around 14 weeks So thank you to all My only feeling is when you ask as a service you expect them to take the clients around but most of the time it was left to me The inital price on our home was given however within a few weeks I reduced it thinking it was a little be high Again I was placed into a price cap from a price to a price Which on reflection would now see a bigger price reduction by potential buyers and lost a whole lot more money Thats my only gripe But all that said they put people through the door and got it sold
