I ve used both OVH and Hetzner and can t really fault either The new control panel is powerful they have plentry of operating system options and the networking is fast Why use Amazon

I ve used this company for over 9 years now not really had any major issues in that time Very cheap dedicated servers which you are responsible for maintaining if you are looking for managed servers they are not for you these are for those who know how to create and maintain websites on dedicated servers

Had services with OVH for absolutely ages now Never ever had a problem with their VPS range however when asking questions on how to set things up on dedicated systems it seems they cannot be bothered and instead redirect me to their 5 year old tutorial on their website which is barely running A few days ago my so you start server went down and didn t respond to ping i got through to a very nice lady who re-assured me that someone was looking into the issue After i put the phone down the server immediately responded to ping Just to add their payment verification has sped up a lot since i first got my services which is a major improvement Overall If you re educated this is the company for you If not i d possibly recommend elsewhere

Adam was very helpful and patient and clear The site itself was a little opaque The uploading guide listed things you needed to download but it was quite far from a step-by-step guide

Talk to Danny - superb customer serviceThrough my own error I lost my website Contacted customer services Monday - bit of a slow start and not much seemed to be happening hence 4 out of 5 stars and not 5 so called them again Wednesday and spoke to Danny He sorted the IT issues out in a couple of hours and took the time to explain where i d gone wrong I m not an IT person Site fixed Top man Danny thanks

If it wasn t for Danny in OVH UK Support this review would have been a 1 star I appreciate that systems have outages and I appreciate that I can probably spin up my personal website elsewhere but the fact is it s a personal website I don t want to pay too much to host it or have it fully redundant It s now been almost a week since your outage and you ve yet to resolve my VPS issue or respond to my support tickets Danny can only do so much in what appears to be a first line role It requires a 2nd line technician to resolve Twitter has been less than responsive It seems like you don t care about your customers Please note that OVH is great and all if there aren t any issues but as soon as issues arise they are next to useless EDIT It turns out the issue was something I d done myself and not realised it only became apparent because of the power outage they had and the VM had to be rebooted which presented the issue They didn t have to fix it for me but they have done I ve left it at 4 stars because I believe their support team does need a bit of training still on how to keep a customer informed Going multiple days without a response isn t really acceptable even in a time of major outage The support system linked to one incident post whilst the incident updates were being assigned to another post leaving everyone in the dark

I have had mixed experiences with OVH but overall they have been responsive I will recommend OVH to my professional colleagues

Servers are very efficient and fast However I ve had several minor issues during reboots which involved ovh constantly putting it into rescue mode and slamming me with hard reboot failed emails Apart from that its good
