The sofa is so soft and comfy love it
I have read the reviews of 90 of customers that rated Pottery Barn as bad and I fully understand where they are coming from However I am basing my review on only one transaction that occurred this month and the outcome of that transaction I ordered a 9 x 12 Persian style carpet and then later decided to order a carpet pad I spoke with a very knowledgeable and well-informed customer support rep who assured me that the carpet pad helps in the long-term both in terms of slippage as well as protection and in adding a little extra depth to the pile I informed Pottery Barn I needed the carpet pad before the carpet was actually delivered Within one week the pad arrived and I was able to position it in my living room where my sofa two chairs and coffee table are located Within one additional week I was notified that the carpet would be delivered on a specific day Pottery Barn uses an app that targets the exact hour and minute so the customer can start tracking the time on the day of delivery I was truly amazed at the fact that the delivery truck arrived at the precise time that was scheduled - to the minute Then the delivery person Kyle hoisted the 98-pound rug over his shoulders with single-handed confidence and placed it on my front porch He was polite friendly and conversant I could not have asked for a better delivery process or delivery rep I was able to take the rug inside my LR and roll it over the carpet pad The Persian style carpet is made of wool and is of high quality It looks great in my LR Overall I am extremely pleased with the way Pottery Barn handled my orders I empathize with customers who have had negative experiences but it seems that if Pottery Barn got it this right with me the company could do the same with other customers Perhaps they are trying to raise their standards as a result of negative customer feedback I hope in the future Pottery Barn customers will see a change in transactional outcomes

Everything is beautiful
Ouch Some of the reviews here are outstandingly negative Well hopefully my thoughts can provide some counter insight into how beautiful potterybarn com is The number 1 factor for me is the photographs High resolution detailed photographs with lots of interesting features help me figure out what I m looking for in home furnishings as well as other options for complementary decor Yes they are expensive but you really do get what you pay for with this company It s the same as Williams Sonoma in fact I believe they are owned by the same people Beautiful products and fantastic customer service both online and in stores The navigation menu makes it easy to find exactly what you want and the extra features such as the Tips Ideas section give you all kinds of fun ideas for how to tie different rooms together how to decorate for the holidays paint colors hospitality style guides etc I could spend hours on this site and enjoy every second

A GOOD REVIEW OF POTTERY BARN 7-2-2021
I ve read many negative reviews for Pottery Barn This isn t that This is a POSITIVE review I expected the worst when my wife ordered an interesting new coffee table from Pottery Barn HOWEVER it was delivered EARLY a day before it was scheduled And in a Pottery Barn big truck with 2 nice young men unloaded and ASSEMBLING the coffee table for us without us asking then making sure it worked properly they then wiped their feet outside and carried the table inside to in front of our sofa Amazing service I tipped the guys and gave them my thanks This is a high-tech industrial coffee table that can be operated with a crank to some gears to raise and lower the table top Very cool And it fits right in with our Industrial chic mountain style Don t believe all the bad reviews They do get it right as far as we re concerned We unfortunately had a bad experience with them trying to order several new leather sofas so we canceled that order But not everything they do is bad

Excellent design help-Seamless coordination across stores
We are from the West Coast but were in Chicago visiting and decided to visit the Chicago Pottery Barn story We had a great experience with Marilyn Bayma We were totally stuck on how to lay out our family room kitchen It s a big room and we have very few pieces of furniture Marilyn said she could help us design the room and she used a CAD-like software She immediately drew the room beautifully and had ideas that had never occurred to us about what we needed and how to arrange it all She suggested two couches two chairs rugs and a coffee table We loved the items the quality of the furniture seemed great and the layout was perfect for how we describe using the space We ended up buying it at our local store and she kindly coordinated with our local staff The whole process was seamless and nicely coordinated even at two different stores Mostly Marilyn was an excellent listener creative spent a lot of time with us and we ended up giving Pottery Barn a lot of business

Don t be scared of all the terrible delivery stories
I ordered a custom couch in October 2019 I placed the order in store during a 20 percent off promotion I also got the credit card to take advantage of no interest for one year The order process was smooth and the sales associate was great even though I could have Ordered it myself online I started to really panic reading all the horrible delivery reviews and I had very very low expectations for a good experience but it was all for nothing because the couch arrived when pottery barn stated it would The online tracking system worked great and kept me up to date with the process I couldn t be happier with the delivery and more importantly my new couch I normally don t post reviews but I m guessing that most people with good experiences don t bother But because I was so scared about a terrible and expensive mistake I had to set the record straight

Pottery Barn makes good on a bad item
I am so impressed with the service I received from PB com and PBTeen com I ordered a desk and jewelry box from Pottery Barn in December The desk had a few issues with some edges being scuffed and screw holes being stripped upon arrival It took one phone call and replacement items arrived within a few days and they took the old stuff at that time A few weeks ago my jewelry box hinges both broke I thought that maybe I had opened the lid too far or something so I called and asked about replacement hinges To my surprise the box had been pulled off the shelves already and the girl offered me a full refund and paid for shipping back to PB Now THAT is a company that I will continue to buy from

Inflexible Shipping Policies
I called customer service to ask if they could add a piece of furniture to the order I placed less than 12 hours ago so that I would not be charged twice for delivery No they said not possible This despite the fact that these items are back ordered and would be shipping a month from now at best I also explained that I wanted to order much more to replace furniture lost in a fire so it would be nice if they helped me now No still no help I am now reconsidering the very large order I was planning to place January

Own worst enemyFor such a large brand I m shocked at how poorly they handle shipping and customer service Everything you re reading in these comments is true and is also my experience Placed an order for 2 nightstands that were listed to be in limited stock but AVAILABLE at the end of October Per the site they were to be shipped out the following week with a delivery estimate of early November Flash forward to today after 7 calls to customer service and 5 reprocessing charges refunds delays since that time and and I still have received nothing Each time I call in no one knows whats going on and its a different story Some representatives give attitude and it would be easier to pull my own teeth out than to get a manager on the phone Most recent explanation was a nightstand broke 2 weeks ago -- they should have told you that when you called in the last 2 times -- so we can only give you one and we don t know when the next will be available Also no updates to any orders so you d better call in if you want to know that changes have happened Wanted to rectify things and waited on hold for 55 minutes to talk to a manager Found these comments and just decided it wasn t worth the headache and cancelled Now waiting on the refund hopefully
