Worst tour operator
They are the most unorganized transportation operator I have ever seen We went on a 2 week vacation and went on 9 tours 2 with this company Do not book unless only option First you essentially have to be in the cold for an hour at times in order to get in the transfer bus It is way to cold in Iceland to wait outside an hour for the bus since they say you have to be there 30 mins prior and pickup can be up to 30 mins after time First trip email did not say this and said pickup at 1pm I was there by 12 40 the bus left before then so we called they said take a taxi Note I paid a lot to have the transfer bus piece Second trip with them We were 35 mins earlier since they come early sometimes and leave you and they never came I called and they ended up picking us up 35 mins late Therefore an icicle when outside for an hour before pickup When they did get us we were the only people on the transfer bus I think they forgot our booking Our tour then had to wait for us and we couldn t seat next to my partner Horrible service Oh and our second trip I get nature can make it not possible bit they continued the trip even though weather was very overcast and noted not likely to see lights We drove to one spot and driver gave up The rescheduled trip next night they canceled due to weather Notice if they cancel the primary trip they refund but if they canceled the reschedule no refund so we paid a lot of money for nothing I had one more trip with another vendor in Iceland it went great I highly recommend any other vendor

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
I do not recommend Reykjavik Excursions and will not utilize them when I go back to Iceland Worst customer service ever I have been to all seven continents including the Arctic and never have I encountered a customer service agent so rude Please Reykjavik Excursions management check out all calls received August 13 between 10 35 to 10 50 I was not able to note the name of the discourteous agent I asked for the manager and spoke with Stephen On my booking confirmation it says pick-up from the chosen city bus stop is 10 30 so I was at the bus stop at 10 05 I know I must look for a Reykjavik Excursions bus however I still ask every single bus that arrives if I am supposed to go with them just to make sure The guy from Gray Line was so courteous and kind when I asked him he said Sorry this is not with us but another provider Have a nice day No bus dropped by from 10 05 to 10 40 so I called the customer service The aggressive agent assumed I just got in the bus stop at 10 30 his responses were really horrible I have been doing my itinerary for several YEARS around the world and it is just so weird the paper says pick-up at 10 30 and this disrespectful guy is saying I must be at the bus stop 10 00 Even the team leader Stephen seemed not to care much about my complaint He said next bus at 11 00 reached 11 05 grumpy driver Guys you should listen to constructive criticism from your customers respect them at least - time will come it will all backfire at you and these people will choose other providers Anyways I have provided my suggestions for better service and operational effectiveness over the phone using my minutes so you re welcome I arrived at the airport running to the check-in counter slipped and scratched my knee sure my fault almost missed my flight Do not let this happen to you Time in Iceland must be fun positive experience Do yourself a favour - make sure to book with another provider

Lazy Drivers and horrible customer service
Avoid this company if you can We booked them through our hotel to take us to the airport and they never showed up The hotel called them and basically said to bad our driver said he was there and they were not the only thing we can do for them is get them on a later bus 2pm Which we could not do because we had to catch a flight and they would not issue us refund They didn t even apologize We had been in the lobby of our hotel at 11 45 Pick up was between 12-12 30pm We had seen two busses come and go One left abruptly after dropping of his passenger and the other driver was from Reykjavik excursions but he was going to the sky lagoon No they bus showed up Even though they say the GPS on the bus logged him at our hotel at 12 09pm Did he pull up out of sight He didn t walk into the hotel looking for us because if he had he would have found us waiting for him inside the door The driver did not complete his job We had to take a cab to the airport which cost us 16 500 on top of what we already paid Reykjavik Excursions This is no way to do business

Reykjavik Excursions South Coast AdventureDid not clearly communicate that we needed to board a generic transfer bus and that the bus driver would not be calling out or asking for any specific participants for said tour Did not call any of the contact information available prior to or after when our 6person party missed the bus despite having waited there for 50 minutes Did not take any responsibility nor express any concern for the confusion and or the inadequate directions printed on the trip voucher Thankfully we had booked our remaining tours with other smaller companies that approached their excursions with more attention to detail and consideration so that our first visit to Iceland was still an amazing experience

ReviewThis tour was very disorganised We arrived at the bus stop 13 at the designated time After 10 minutes the bus had not arrived so we called the company She notified me that the bus was at the stop however it was down the road 3 blocks away It was not clear where the bus was supposed to be They should have said it would be outside the hotel not at the bus stop 13 We then had to wait 25 minutes in the cold as the bus was full and they had not compensated for extra people due to people not seeing the northern lights the night before Us and 5 others were put on a bus and driven to the Reykjav k excursions terminal while the bus driver was speeding through the streets We had paid to be collected from our designated bus stop at a designated time and it was not honoured at all When arriving at the bus terminal we were told we had to wait in a long line and collect a paper ticket as they couldn t do any QR codes on our mobile tickets This was not specified on the booking as if this was the case we would have printed our tickets out We left an hour later than the booked time Very disappointed at how disorganised this tour was and how they had no compensated for the extra people which they should be aware of due to the Northern lights being a 50 50 chance of seeing

Avoid the flybus
Took the flybus from the airport to our hotel It s not cheap We got to the bus station and then it all went to pot 40 mins in - 6 and no sign of the other bus which was supposed to take us to our hotel None of the other buses could take us as our colour tickets weren t the right ones and we had to wait for our bus We kept being told it would only be 5 minutes otherwise we would have walked it Not the best arrival ritual Would not recommend

Rude Staff and No Customer Care
We booked an excursion to the Sky Lagoon with a bus transfer through Reykjavik Excursions which was to pick us up at 12 30 for a 13 00 start at the Lagoon We waited at bus stop 13 from 12 15 and by 12 45 it had not turned up Our hotel receptionist kindly phoned the company to be told we might as well get a taxi as it s only a 10-15 minute journey We paid 20 for a taxi and got a receipt After our return to the UK we emailed RE to request a partial refund as we had used their bus to return to the hotel however they refused a refund and said the bus did arrive but as we weren t there we were marked down as no shows That it a complete lie as there was also another couple at the same stop who also had to get taxi I would not advise using this company for any excursion as their staff are rude and couldn t care less about their customers If you want to go to the Sky Lagoon book direct on their website and arrange your own transport to the Lagoon

Absolutely disgusted with the customer
Absolutely disgusted with the customer service we have received following our complaint We had booked with this company for an airport transfer told our transfer window was 3am until 3 30am at which time the bus would depart We were promptly there by 3 15am my Father has a health condition urgently had to use the bathroom we explained this we were told Do not worry we will not leave without you But they did We had to pay a substantial amount of money for a taxi for myself my sister our elderly parents My sister contacted the company regarding compensation just to receive a very rude email stating that they couldn t do anything that it should be noted two others from the hotel successfully boarded the coach We were then told our names were not on the list for the coach despite have a confirmation booking printed by reception After a reply to this email the company have since said our names were actually on the list despite initially stating it wasn t Avoid this company at all costs Take your money do not provide the service then lie again again
