Car rental companies are normally a pain and you are uncertain if there are additional cost Also experienced a lot of aggressive upsell when picking up the car Blue Car Rental was just how you want it to be Great service no extras easy and fast I will for sure only use them in the future

Both times I have visited Iceland I have used Blue car rental The shuttle is very quick and easy process and when you arrive at the counter to pick up your car keys the staff are all very friendly and helpful My latest trip I had a nightmare as I misread the car parking signs which meant my rental car was locked in so was unable to drop off the car rental After a pricey taxi ride to the airport I had to inform Blue that I have left the car in a parking garage Blue replied very quickly to me telling me not to worry and that they would collect the vehicle as a good will gesture which was very nice of them all emails I sent to Blue the responses was very quick and supportive I highly recommend Blue Car Rental as they go above and beyond and all their staff are really nice and friendly Rental price are also very good and the vehicles you get are clean and in good condition Best rental company by a mile

4x4 car from blue car rental

We got a 4x4 car from blue car rental for our trip the car was in excellent condition And clean only 3 minutes walk from the airport pick up and drop off took only a few minutes with no hidden fees I would definitely rent from them when I visit Iceland again

Rented from them after reading reviews Caught the airport shuttle to their office Pick up was easy and friendly They provided daily updates on the weather via email Dropped off the suv at the airport office with no hassle Had to walk back to the airport since the shuttle does not run that early Only complaint would be the front end of the suv was way out of alignment so it pulled hard to the left the whole trip

Seamless booking We pitched up 2 hours early hoping for the best and there was our car No hassle no faff 2 minutes later we were on the road Faultless little Aygo car that took us to some wonderful places Once again we ended up dropping at the airport early as we were a bit worried about media reports about hold ups Again no faff Highly recommended

Nothing to complain about

You have to take the shuttle bus that goes in a loop just exit the main entrance and walk along the path with the roof straight then left - there are no signs really - the only downside which takes you maybe 4 minutes Of course we had another car as promised but the Kadjar was a good deal we were very satisfied with it Quick service We called once because a warning sign turned on they told us they know about it nothing to worry about - which we had guessed anyway Return was quick and easy too Thank you for the friendly and satisfactory service

Completely hassle-free

I have to say I can t believe some of the negative reviews I have been reading on here - in our experience Blue Car Rental made the whole rental process simple quick and hassle-free Unlike other rental companies they don t hold a deposit from your bank and the entire check-in process is online meaning all you need to do is pick up the keys and off you go Blue Car Rental even recommended taking photos a video prior to driving away in case any scratches dents etc had been missed prior to hire but we also took out all the insurances for gravel sand protection etc to be on the safe side We had a wonderful trip and would fully recommend Blue Car Rental I do think some of these negative reviews are very unfair - at the end of the day like with any rental company if you damage the car you have to pay for it They make it very clear before you arrive what is isn t covered on the insurances and it s up to you if you decide to ignore that

Great rental car and friendly service

We rented a car with BlueCar Rental from the downtown Reykjavik location which was a very short walk from our hotel I booked the Kia Sportage online and had no issues We found this car to be PERFECT for Icelandic Roads I emailed them with a few questions and they responded that same day and were very friendly When we went to pick up the car the lady who helped us wasn t very friendly but it was 8am so maybe she was just tired The car we got was exactly what we signed up for online so we were very happy All of the appliances worked great and we had no issues with the car during our many drives Based on other reviews online we made sure to point out all scratches on the car and took pictures before we left We also filled up the car with gas and cleaned the interior a little as it had gotten muddy from our hikes When we went to return the car everything went quick and smoothly The man who helped us return our car was much friendlier than the first lady I will say that we got lucky and had no accidents or incidents so I can t attest to how they treat people if the get into any trouble on the roads That being said based on our experiences I would definitely recommend BlueCar Rental to others

Great team and car

Great team great and new car All were really friendly and the welcomed me like never I picked up the car in winter and they warmed up the car That was so friendly It took 10 minutes to pick up the car 1 minute for the keys an 9 minutes talking with them as they were so kind I dropped off the car without any issue Within 5 minutes i was cleared to go I drove around the country without any issues Thanks again to the team and i hope to see u again Kind regards Manu F
