No frills - good airline
Yes you have to buy food alcohol but the fares are typically 100 to 200 cheaper than anyone else The free layover in Iceland is a great offer too

Icelandair should be ashamed
Icelandair should be ashamed of their customer service They can t control the weather but they should care for their passengers if there s a problem Only gave 1 star as I couldn t see how to give none Perhaps they should ask Trailfinders how to offer a great service

4 flights all unbearably hot
Had 4 flights within the space of a week and every one of them was unbearably hot to the extent I felt so ill I was ready to pass out Myself and others raised our concerns on various occasions but it fell on deaf ears I ve travelled with all sorts of different airlines and these 4 flights were by far the worst I ve ever experienced I wouldn t fly with Iceland air again

Giving 1 star is generous
Giving 1 star is generous The line to get a boarding pass was 1 5 hours long As our plane was about to depart several bag check members went on break only increasing the inefficiency Finally getting to the agent I was forced to check my bag for a fee even though it fit the carry on guidelines Boarding had no rhyme or reason everyone was boarding completely sporadically Once on board the plane was 90 degrees with no air circulation Overall horrendous experience would not recommend choosing this airline

Worst airline customer service ever
Iceland air left my luggage and the entire planes luggage behind in Amsterdam and didn t tell us until we had been waiting at the luggage reclaim for over half an hour I had to buy all new clothes and boots as I was booked on a tour at 8am The total cost was 532 US I put in a claim and they wrote back and said we are sorry and will pay in full here is a link for 52 US I have written back 3 times and told them the correct amount and heard nothing I rang and was told you can only email but they ignore your emails Dreadful airline don t fly with them

Look out Icelandair does not refund ticket price despite Flextarif In January we booked tickets for the family Economy Flex worth 3100 Euro On 18 3 2020 we cancelled the tickets according to the tariff conditions In several telephone inquiries Icelandair has promised the refund and asked corona-conditioned for patience After almost 3 months there is still no money received Feel cheated too bad

Avoid Icelandair by all means
Cannot believe how poor their customer service is One would imagine airlines would do everything they can to catch up now after pandemic- not Icelandair though Just canceled another trip at short notice without alternatives or any effort to help Seriously avoid this if you can

This airline has gone down the drain Crap service and usability from booking to deplaning After being robbed due to forced Covid-19 rebooking it was just a crap experience all the way Customer service available from 7 to 4 30 during summer travel high season A city library has better opening hours Seat booking system failed Payment for seats failed Used to love Iceland Air when commuting between Oslo and Toronto Thank God that SAS is flying to Toronto now

5 flight cancellations and counting
We are currently try to return to Rekyavik Iceland from Ilulisat in Greenland We have had 5 flights cancelled so far and have been stuck here for 7 days Greenland Air have been flying domestic flights into and out of the airport with the same type of aircraft as Iceland Air Unfortunately Iceland Air is the only airline flying out of Greenland currently so we are stuck here Needless to say I will never use Iceland Air again Use them at your peril their customer service is appalling and they don t answer phones or emails One day we will return home but who knows when

Double charged for same flight after a delay
We had tickets from Paris to Reykjavik and then a day layover with the Reykjavik to Detroit flight the next night We were stuck on a delayed flight from Nice and called to see what our options were The girl from Iceland Air suggested we suspend our tickets for the time being and call back when we got to the airport in Paris We called and not only did she suspend the flight we were going to miss she suspended the flight for tomorrow night as well When we tried to get back in they said there was nothing they could do other than rebook us into the flight and charged us 3500 when our flight was only 1200 USD to begin with
