Buy in Gb not in Germany Outside Germany no shipping-information and pay 40 pound for it

The product was as described I had to request a Tracking Number from Rother Valley Optics in three separate emails over a week before I received it and by the time I received it the package was delivered

Shop seems very small

Shop seems very small more like an estate agents Three desks surrounded by a few glass cabinets and a selection of about 6 telescopes in the window On arrival I wasn t allowed in due to COVID I think Online there seems to be quite a selection of product but I only got as far as the front door Not very welcoming when your spending This is a online business so I suppose buy online I wouldn t be making another journey here shame

Lovely globe

Lovely globe which I m very pleased with but sadly the other globe I ordered was not in stock Rother Valley Optics refunded the cost of the second globe but no part of the shipping costs for two globes I managed to source the second globe from another supplier who charged a similar price which included shipping charges so I came out even overall

I know they can t open at the moment

I know they can t open at the moment but postage for a small parcel was very expensive especially considering I live 10 minutes away Also I know the item was ex demo but at least take the flat battery out before posting

Good delivery of the Polemaster specialist astromony kit

RVO gave a good service in delivering the Polemaster tracker device This is a specialist device for telescopes so not widely available I did try to buy from a international seller but they refuse sales to UK buyers because of the VAT Therefore had to pay the full RRP for this item

Good range and value for money

Ordered the Sega Flux home planetarium last Wednesday and it s just arrived after 7 days Securely packed and even with the postage costs saved me a few s over Amazon prices I had to chase via email but RVO do answer emails very promptly Would use them again

Rother Valley Sega Homestar planetarium

Generally good service and item arrived within a reasonable time Package showed signs of damage but couldn t determine whether this was as sent or probably due to careless handling by courier No warning signs on packing to say fragile and this was a planetarium with glass and moving parts so was quite surprised at that

Service from Rother Valley was great let down by courier who totally ignored safe place instructions and left parcel on front doorstep exposed to weather and possible doorstep theft Instrument was thankfully unharmed by rain and safely retrieved Pricing and information from Rother Valley Optics very good

Star Adventurer 2i pro

Having read more reviews they suggest third party wedges are better but I will have to wait and see I got caught out by the 1 4 adapter blocking the tripod socket You-tube came to my rescue as always RTFM I thought it odd that you couldn t remove the top cap on the polar scope once the vixen wedge was in place I bought some fluorescent tape to illuminate the scope Was interested too see that the control button can be programmed as you want I don t have a solar scope yet so that can go With the days lengthening I can t see much use until next year
