Tried to claim new damage not a chance

Picked up car was attempted to be rushed through and out but on checking car pre existing damage was evident there were large dents on roof of the car that weren t recorded on paperwork hail stone damage Pointed out recorded no issue HOWEVER on returning car the rep went straight to a tiny scratch on door mirror and claimed this was new damage I am extremely suspicious of the speed with which she found this Luckily I always take extensive photos prior to driving away and on return Checked these and could prove this was yet another example of pre-existing damage When faced with this evidence the rep backed down and recorded return paperwork as no new damage Presumably the next poor customer to use this car will be faced with the same problem as this scratch does not appear on any paperwork Won t be using this company again ALWAYS take extensive photos prior to taking delivery it only takes minutes and will save you pounds

1 month short of the 2 year anniversary of me using Sixt i receive 2 letters via post from a debt collection agency based in Germany 2 debts in the hundreds of Pounds originating from 2 unpaid admin fees to Sixt Havent heard from Sixt since i returned the car not by email not by mail not by phone They claim to have sent me endless reminders which they have not Now im threatened with a court case for something i have no information about Stay away from Sixt-IT their profits are made by bogus charges Biggest regret ever

Sixt Italy - AVOID or risk spending hours trying to recover back your money

Used Sixt many times in various countries and have been happy with their service Until rented a car with Sixt Italy Malpensa Airport What a nightmare firstly they create a fake car damage a scratch and charged my card 4 months after the rental No email telephone invoice etc Then to add insult to the injury they charged me for a motorway toll EUR 3 Admin fee of EUR 30 with no proof I had to spend hours and hours trying to find out what was going on The UK Customer Service could not help same with the Benelux Regional one it seems Sixt Italy is a separate fiefdom AVOID by all means

As others have written here they will find at return small damages which are hard to find at pickup amazing how they knew exactly where it was and charge enormous amounts to fix it I switched to Avis and have hand zero problems

Sixt is supposed to be a premium service I have used their Italian 3 times Each time I had a different problem The first two times they gave me a car two catergories lower than I paid for In my last experience when I arrived to their office to pick up my car they announced that they had to cancel my reservation thatI had prepaid because they did not have a car worst they were rude and proposed no alternative

Avoid by all means Rented twice First time had the same issue as many others a guy at the desk said in very rude manner that I came late by 30 min and the car is not available anymore I can only take a premium one for 4x price The other time had no time for refuelling they said no problem and charged me 5 2EUR per litre saying that it is an average price
