Treatment works but long processing and shipping times

Overall I ve had a positive experience with SDC but having finished my treatment I find that they can take weeks and weeks to process and ship retainer orders I recently placed an order for retainers and waited six weeks for the order to be processed I contacted the company and placed my order again with one of their customer service agents From there I was informed that it could take another five weeks for the retainers to arrive Altogether it s a very long time to wait when the quality of your existing retainers is deteriorating over time The treatment worked for me and generally it s a good way to achieve results but the process of getting your retainers can be very slow

Had a treatment with Jazmine Really helpful and the technology to scan my teeth was amazing PS Can t comment on treatment yet as not had any but store asked me to do a review on the spot

Felt a little rushed

Felt a little rushed things could be explained a lot slower and clearer Although I got the gist did go ahead with the service looking back it could have been done a bit more smoothly- I can t just put my finger on it

Started great then Woeful service

I went to visit SDC about 2 years ago I was able to go into one of the shops and get scanned this went fine I was happy with the proposed smile I had a couple of wonky front teeth nothing too major The 12 aligners I had ranged from extremely painful to slight discomfort when first putting them in but you do get used to it After 12 Alignersi was really happy with the results I wasn t told that I would need to fork out 120 a year for the rest of my life for retainers though Onto my fourth set of retainers which split on the second day on wearing I have tried to speak with SDC support and they are WOEFUL As I have no other retainer my teeth have begun to move I have been onto SDC now for 2 months and all comms take so long I m only trying to arrange a new scan and I now have been told I need a scan for my retainers too for some reason

You will be ignored if anything goes wrong

The staff you meet are very pleasant as are the staff on the phone however you never ever see or communicate with a dentist ever I don t think the dentist has much to do with any of it they just allow their names to be used The aligners are often very uncomfortable and even after using the emery board in your kit rub your gums My gums have receded because of smile direct and my dentist won t put anything right that s gone wrong because I ve used smile direct Do not use them unless it s an extremely simple short term fix My case was a bit more involved and so it hasn t fully straightened my teeth They don t care about damage to you and won t give you the money back You will just be ignored if anything goes wrong

Unnecessarily pushy

The lady was delightful but the process feels very pushy which is off putting as I m there through my choice not yours

My experience with them was both negative and positive in total I did 3 scans 3 days off work and one home kit after which I decided not to move forward I had no work done and even got a teeth clean after the first scan but still kept getting charged The positive is when I asked for a deposit they were hassle free and I got my money back within a week So thanks

Staff polite at the Aldgate branch the free appointment was a sales pitch and considerable pressure applied to choose a plan without the projections of the anticipated results I would like to know the expected outcome before paying for it If the projections arrive and I go ahead I will review the process further Just be warned the consultation is for those ready to sign up

The aligners definitely work

The aligners definitely work within days I could see the gap in my front teeth beginning to close However absolutely no one prepared me for the amount of pain that these would put me in I understand that it will be painful but I didn t realise it would keep me up till early hours of the morning in complete agony So be prepared

Service at stratford

Its was an overall alright service the lady at the desk does not like answering the phone Was trying to find the place so i called but still no answer I arrived at the reception called the number but she still did not pick up the phone and then states she has had a busy day while holding her mobile phone to her ear But overall Ellie provided a good service and answered all question that i was concerned about with this treatment But I believe answering the phone has to improve Or have more staff members to deal with phone enquires
