Read between lines in Wendy Wu reply to my review mainly confirmed their practice non customer care base What they spell out on their reply to me are that 1 Non refundable costs of bookings services secured in advance - but as I said in my review they only did the booking over the phone with me which cost them nothing Even after we settled the full balance by 15 12 24 Wendy Eu had not given me any confirmation of the exact hotels they had booked for us or confirmation of the airline booking under our names If we book through any online hotels websites once you paid you will have hotels email confirmation Wendy Wu told me we were suppose to travel with Cathay Pacific airlines if I booked directly with that airline I would have email confirmation straight away after making payment With Wendy Wu Tours you get nothing after making full payment to show where your money had gone Even when they did not manage to assist with my Chinese entry documents their visa team DJB told me they had not been paid by Wendy Wu for my case as no successful China entry documents means no payment to them Wendy Wu Tours company if you want to reply to my Trust Pilot review then justify yourself and be transparent to our reviewers your customers where customers money 30 non refundable money actually disappeared to spent on 2 When I did not get my entry documents to China I asked to speak to Customer care team but found myself talking to the same few staff at the sales team who reassured me they would sort out my China entry documents at the point of sale booking Trust me there were no so call separate Customer Care Team you could discuss anything with when things go wrong Hence we had no options but to cancelled their tours to at least rescue my partial tour fee Anyone could see Wendy Wu Tours company reply to my review showed they had nothing to explain to customers where our money went but just hide behind their terms and conditions In their own words These terms align with their booking conditions Be very aware could anyone trust these sort of Tours company All I wrote in Trust Pilot review are me and my husband truthful experiences with Wendy Wu tours it is nothing but the truth After loosing quite a sum of money to them we were still constantly reminded of our painful experiences by them advertising their business into my emails box and booklets sent to us as well as having to face their banners in our local shops All I have done wrong was not having energy after a health scare to carefully read Wendy Wu customers reviews before I booked with them They sent me to In Pursuits of complicated China Entry documents tour with DJB which started in Oct 2024 and ended when I cancelled it on the 10 1 25 totally exhausted me rather than the suppose joyful In Pursuit of Pandas tour I booked on the 15 10 24

Not impressed
Very expensive and I was not booked on a flight from South Korea to Japan even though they knew the ferry had not been operational for months We would walk up to 20 mins to a restaurant for dinner just about every night The food was terrible and the portions were small and they had to be shared by 4 people usually I would leave it to the men if they were at my table I have travelled extensively through Asian countries including India and China and the food was amazing and we would eat in local restaurants A seven eleven store became very handy for finding food The hotels were good but one was a box room with no windows The tour guides were great I won t be travelling with this company again I would not recommend Wendy woo Australia

Wendy Wu rush you through Reading Wendy Wu reviews it would
Reading the Wendy Wu reviews it would seem my annoyed disappointment of our Japan tour last November was echoed by the many other complaints about this company Your chances of a satisfactory trip with Wendy Wu seem to be about 50 Bad food very little time at any place so that we have hardly any idea about the culture of Japan A lot of money for very little satisfaction

We recently returned from a Wendy Wu
We recently returned from a Wendy Wu tour of Japan which took place from March 11th to March 27th 2025 Japan is an incredibly beautiful country and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring it However there were a few challenges during the tour The group size was quite large 28 people and there was only one tour guide While the guide was a lovely lady we found that her English was difficult to understand which made it hard for us to fully grasp the explanations and details she was trying to convey It would have been helpful if she had been more fluent in English so we could all have understood the information better Another significant issue was the food Due to the large group size the meals were often pre-cooked and served cold which was disappointing The food was prepared in advance and since we all needed to be served at the same time it resulted in cold dishes being offered This was especially problematic for those of us who were unfamiliar with Japanese cuisine It would have been great if someone could have explained what each dish was and how to eat it For vegetarians the situation was even more challenging as they were often served cold tempura three times a day We also felt that managing such a large group with a single tour guide was not ideal It was difficult for the guide to give attention to everyone and as a result the overall experience suffered The size of the group limited the selection of hotels and restaurants making the experience less enjoyable than it could have been While we were fortunate to be part of a friendly and wonderful group of people by the end of the tour the lack of hot food became a running joke among us We left feeling a bit let down by the overall organization of the trip

Wendy Wu Awful tour of South America
Just completed a three and a half week tour of South America with Wendy Wu Tours The organisation was incredibly bad There was no dedicated guide for over 80 people We were just passed from one group of local guides to another Some were ok but others were awful There was no one to sort out problems or take responsibility We paid around 5 500 each for the tour but the hotels used were on the lower side of budget some were not even clean and the service in most was pretty bad Not one single hotel gave us a room with a decent view The worst experience was probably when our cruise finished in Buenas Aires and there was no one at the port to meet us People had to contact their travel agents in London to sort out our being picked up Wendy Wu seemed to arrange everything to their own advantage with flights at horrible times so that they were cheap and then we were left sitting at airports for hours for connecting flights We paid almost 5 500 each for this tour and feel it was ruined by Wendy Wu s lack of organisation and penny pinching

Just did Wonders of China
Just did Wonders of China Could not visit Tiananmen Square Forbidden city was very crowded and unsafe 10 mins for the Imperial Garden 1 hr for the Temple of Heaven 2 hrs for the Great Wall 1 hr for the Summer Palace Food was monotonous Chinese meals for all lunches and dinner All except two hotels were of good quality Most breakfasts were of poor standards Lot of valuable time was spent in factories such as jade silk terracotta pearl Sadly it was a waste of money and time doing this tour Hands on heart I cannot recommend Wendy Wu Wonders of China tour

I called to ask for a quote to visit
I called to ask for a quote to visit Vietnam in a tailor made tour The lady I spoke to was quite abrupt in her manner and let me know she didn t have time to look at it No offer to call back or make an appointment to chat later It was a simple please go away I m busy All the marketing for the company state call us to discuss a holiday I m not sure why this company are reviewed so highly so maybe they have changed recently The customer service I received was rude and I certainly won t call back I will try Selective Asia or Rickshaw Travel both of whom I ve had good experiences with in the past

Could have been better
Felt rushed limited time to relax Only one hotel had a luxury feel the 4x4 desert experience was actually us sat on benches on the back of pick up trucksFood was repetitive and even the free water was in limited supplies 4 bottles for 19 people Didn t always have options for those with dietary restrictions or the information provided was not passed on when making reservations Vegetarian at cooking class ate a bit of salad and a couple of cooked carrots as there were no alternatives despite being told there would be rushed out by the guide before desert was served despite hotel being next door Felt like a bit of a sales pitch at times but from this shop or we are stopping here and they will give us discount
