Nothing but problems

Nothing but problems with my Alpha boiler even though it s only a couple of months old Constant drops in pressure which I rectify myself and now ignition and sensor problems so I am currently spending Christmas unable to clean my home with anything other than cold water and I am unable to wash I regret getting this boiler as the situation is worse than before I got a new boiler

Poor support and service

So I ve been a customer for 14 months I ve been waiting over 8 weeks for my annual service and had to chase and chase and I ve just been told we prioritise breakdowns over services so you ll just need to wait until we have engineer availability Come on guys - what sort of customer service is that I certainly won t be renewing next year Poor service

Poor experience all around

1 Customer service spoke to me like I was an annoyance2 Needed emergency call out for boiler but they said they can get out next week it s Thursday today with elderly mother in the house3 Boiling hasn t been serviced since Oct 2023 and was due in Oct 20244 Policy now cancelled and went with Homeserve who are great and are on it

Wish i could give one star for this

Wish i could give one star for this sagaThis not my first rodeo with these cowboys so their is no grace given this time Rang on friday theres an error code on the boiler thats in warranty i might add m son rang twice wasn t given a job either time so i knew it was all lies as per too be told due to our LIVERPOOL post code an engineer from the other side of MANCHESTER would visit some but who knows when or even where from In the ice when theres travel warnings Not to thrown in the disability card but iam that why my son was calling I have severed degenerative diseases and immune suppressed i need to to warm and clean at all times Last time we where left over 12 days with now heat or water and had to get my local MP and paper in involved my only regreat was i left it so long before doing so I wont be leaving it too long a s wasting my breath what i have left on these lot ill be straight to the local mediaOutlets on Monday I wonder if mine and hundred s other experiences are still on here during 2023

Pretty rubbish

Surprised at the same day reviews below Never seem to send any paperwork after their service when I asked they sent a totally different customers After most recent service we were promised a new boiler plate and to fix the pressure tap Neither happened Now boiler pressure is low as they didn t replace the tap we can t repressurise it Have no heating with vulnerable resident and they have said a planning colleague will call in two days and get an engineer two days after that Perplexed what we re paying for with the annual plan update since the comment below Alpha are yet to respond to a single email

Con BoilerCare The worst Customer Service

We had Alpha boiler installed 15 years ago and unfortunately from day one we had issues with it Their customer service has never been great but over the years we had developed a great working relationship with one of their engineers and pretty much had him on a fast dial All these years we have been paying for insurance originally through HomeServe and when they dropped Alpha directly with Alpha I have been trying to get the boiler serviced in 2024 and called 3 times only to keep being promised that someone would get back to us Nobody did Last week January 2025 when it was -1 outside the boiler stopped working Customer Service advised that someone would get back to us with an appointment 2-4 working days which meant waiting for at least 5 days as it was Thursday with no hot water or heating We had to contact an independent plumber who advised that it was most likely a problem with the heat generator or a blockage and as we had insurance with Alpha we should persevere with them Alpha engineer confirmed this the following week but when we contacted Customer Service we were bluntly told that they would not cover the cost of replacing it and the boiler was beyond repair When asked what about our insurance that we paid for for years the answer was you should read your contract If the boiler is beyond repair we just terminate your contract It is quite unbelievable how a company managed to find a way to completely rid of any responsibility like this And have never experienced worse Customer Service the gentleman was almost gloating when he repeated his comments about us not reading the contract properly Please stay away from this company

Disgusting level of customer service

This review is based on the service we have received in connection with our Smart Solar Panel which was originally fitted by Alpha on our house as a new build In September 2023 we had to turn off our solar panel due to the terrible noises it was making We contacted Alpha who visited and we were advised that this was due to a 22mm blanking cap which had not been secured properly on installation We were informed that this would be referred to their planning department and that someone would be contacting us Since that time we have contacted Alpha on numerous occasions and have continuously been given false promises that someone would be in touch We are continuously fobbed off and ignored In March 2024 Alpha even apologised and refunded our annual boiler service contract in recognition of the poor service we had received But despite all this 16 MONTHS since this was originally brought to their attention nothing has happened Absolutely disgusting level of customer service

It s only been roughly 2 months that I

It s only been roughly 2 months that I have had E-Tec Hybrid installed just a nightmare and liability 1 Can t use the heat pump because it s too cold Go figure heat pump is only for the central heating and not hot water I ve been told 3 different temp it should work at Someone is lying It then activates a pump nothing do with heating your house which is to stop the water from freezing as it goes outside even in plus 4 degrees c which makes a row keeping me awake or waking me up So spending energy for something I can t use in the autumn winter only time I will need it have it on 2 The app for boiler will not connect tried it well into double figures Got told I can use a nest thermostat which I had previously just need some parts asked alpha to send information about part over month ago now just being ignored by Alpha 3 Keeps dumping water out so have keep filling it Boiler is in the loft There is much more just not going to put it here I do not recommend this boiler and Alpha are just ignoring me helpline ref-50605 If I doesn t get resolved will have rip it out and get a different boiler

Your own your own with Alpha they don t give a toss

675089I reported fault E43 over a month ago And still not fixed PLEASE I have young children and NEED heating and hot water what kind of pathetic service package am I exactly paying for I appreciate personally you couldn t care but I m a nurse on my own with 2 young children and I don t appreciate wasting my hard earned money on a non existent service package I m paying for

Not Alpha s usual level of customer service

I called the Alpha Helpdesk at 8 45am just to query if I should still get a call 30 minutes before the engineers attendance I only did this as had heard nothing more from Alpha since confirming the booking Alpha s helpdesk confirmed this and the experience with them was superb Awaited the 30 minute prior notification of arrival but did not get any I received no prior call and the engineer just arrived I didn t get a clear explanation of what this service fully entailed and there was no paperwork to disclose what was carried out When the engineer left I found that the boiler was set to winter settings snowman on the display Maybe this was required to initiate whatever had been replaced however it was 30c today and the boiler was chugging away like it was the middle of winter
