Having had a bad experience at another hire firm I have used Avis twice since and found them to be everything you should expect from a car hie firm and more Critically fees and charges were explained clearly up front

On point

Collected the brand new little VW with ease from the airport with a full tank of petrol It was important for me to drive a small car as I am short in height Comfortable and easy to drive Good service The rep recognised me from hiring a car the year before which was helpful too so understood my situation Drop off was easy too I was struggling with my back and the rep said it would be easy to add someone to the car insurance if necessary

The lady and gentleman at Avis Derry

The lady and gentleman at Avis Derry Airport could not have been more caring and helpful Everything was explained thoroughly with the Car Hire Rental and there was no rush The Hired Car was of extreme satisfaction I would highly recommend Avis and will always use them in future

Rented an AVIS car in Dublin Airport in Jan 2019 and again Mar 2019Both experiences with the staff were exceptional I had forgot to book a car when in the US and the Manager on duty when I arrived at the Dublin Airport was a Mr Gerry Glynn Mr Glynn arranged the car I needed with an upgrade Mr Glynn s staff were also extremely professional and respectful in each of my transactions Cannot say enough about the Irish welcome I received from this Avis team especially given the waves of tired and irritable customers like me that appear at their Avis desk in the early hours of the am from the US Respectfully

Great car received

Great car received exactly the model I expected - Nissan Qashqai first time enough space in the car for 3 luggage and 3 travelers What could be improved1 4 suitcases will never fit in the trunk We travel with standard travel bags suitcases weighing around 17-21 kg It was enough for our 3 but the statement 4 suitcases is WRONG 2 We did receive the registration document by email but I had to ask for a printout when I returned it This should also be done automatically by email3 The remaining amount of 2 55 was deducted from Avis without me receiving any information as to what actually still had to be paid here Actually the complete rent and insurance had already been paid for when the reservation was made The car was returned with a full tank

Always reliable

Have been using Avis at Knock Ireland West Airport 3 or 4 times a year for the last 10 years to visit family Desk staff always very helpful and friendly Cars always clean full of fuel and in perfect condition

Great service and value

Avis in Dublin offer great service and great value for money Cars are recent models and always clean and in good condition Staff are friendly and efficient and in terminal oickup is cerca convenient Recommended

This was a difficult booking to manage

This was a difficult booking to manage as due to circumstances I had to move or amend the booking 4 times However Avis were brilliant each time and altered the booking for me as required I rang the Belfast City Airport counter at least 3 times and had a very pleasant and helpful receptionist deal with and amend my bookings Brilliant service and great staff

What I like about Avis is the transparency of costs and the ability to pay for all the additional insurances online This speeds up collection

What I like about Avis is the transparency of what you pay There are no hidden costs and you can purchase the additional insurances online not only at the desk The vehicle was new the choice broad Although not the cheapest when I booked I felt more comfortable about the hire Friendly staff at Dublin airport I paid extra to have the car parked opposite the terminal as I wanted a quick departure without having to bus to a remote pickup point It would be great if they would consider offering this service on the return too
