Service itself was quick and easy no hassle Drop off was a breeze and the guy i dealt with in person was proffessional and polite Never had an issue with the customer care and frontline colleagues Just the quality on the vehicle interior was pretty dissapointing overwhelming stink of ciggerette smoke that just lingers and won t ever go away

Car was really beat up

The car ran fine but was in pretty poor condition with a bad window switch that opened the window on its own chipped plastic around the door handle and a variety of scratches and dings Also we ended up paying way more than expected reserved via Expedia but given the car s condition at least we did not have to worry about being blamed for any issues

Major company with budget service mind

The reason why I chose Europcar was it is a major company and believed no hidden cost Unfortunately the staff asked me to pay an additional fee for the insurance even though I prepaid for the maximum option on the webpage Also the staff suggested me to pay more for an upgrade the car Sadly I wasted 10-20 min of my valuable time at the desk Europcar should not be like Dollar or Thrifty

Great staff let down by poor van maintenance

Great staff good pick up and return very efficient as was the on line booking Let down by being supplied a van with a problem gearbox Frustrating to be told they knew of it when I explained and returned the vehicle Sitting holding traffic up with hazards on while trying to get the thing into first gear was not a good experience

Friendly people but a lot to improve for vehicle cleanliness

The person who delivered the car was quite friendly Vehicle cleanliness could be improved I could smell slight cigarette smell Front passenger seat looked dirty Parcel shelf was broken which made annoying crackling sound

Limited car choice

Great friendly and welcoming service from staff of Halesowen Europcar I m a repeat customer having hired a number of vehicles from this branch over the years However rising costs meant that the car hired was considerably more expensive than before and the car offered to me had poor fuel economy and uncomfortable seats Normally this branch has a good range of cars but on this occasion I was unhappy with the car offered

Necessary to be vigilant Defective car

1 If you have not taken the expensive full insurance option you should carefully inspect the car at pick-up The car had three would-be chargeable defects which were not on the condition report They were marked on my paperwork and I was not charged 2 After driving away it became apparent that the windscreen wipers were dangerously juddery in slight rain I had to stop using intermittent wipe and apply single wipes every 15-20 seconds for the remainder of the journey

Awful experience

Awful experience will never use Europcar again They collected their vehicle from me over a week late with absolutely no communication despite numerous calls emails from myself and Europcar Central They then randomly showed up to collect it one day again with no prior warning The fact that their vehicle was sat uninsured for a week did not seem to bother Europcar in the slightest No service whatsoever AVOID

Please stop trying to sell extras and just get on with getting people their cars so they can leave It takes much too long and when it s late at night and people are tired you are possibly contributing to potential accidents by causing them stress and making them more tired

I had to leave Europcar due increase of

I had to leave Europcar due increase of price of upto 85 90 from 600 to 1100 per 30 day in April 2023 after my many years of 30 day rolling contract now a 3 monthly contract I had excellent service from local Dover branch who supported as much as possible getting new cars when I required from Airport stocks
