I will not pay to use Openreach infrastructure

It is with some regret that I must take my broadband business away from Shell Energy My single-star review does not reflect the service and value that I have received from Shell Energy over the last 5 years which has actually been faultless I am leaving because of the behaviour of Openreach towards our community and their retrograde plans to litter our towns with telegraph poles In the future I will not pay to use Openreach infrastructure For my broadband I will use a competitor s underground fibre network 5G mobile or satellite Each of which are viable alternatives at my address I apologise for giving Shell Energy a 1-star review through no fault of their own But I believe it is the best way to ensure that they understand why I have left

Communication breakdown

Communication breakdown its always the same goes the song We were with The Post Office who were taken over by Shell who is now owned by goodness knows who at the minute I wanted to port my phone to Sky Business but it didnt seem to go ahead on the required date I called them and was told they would look into it and after about three days of calls it happened They wanted me to go online to register but they kept sending me links to an old email address i couldnt access When i finally got the link it wouldnt work telling me it had expired or i couldnt enter a password Not recommended

Worst mistake I made

Start of contract it was nearly 2 weeks before I was connected because they was having problems so they compensated me by not charging me for the two weeks Now coming to end of contract another 2 weeks of useless service where again no broadband and they are having issues I live in a rural area and wouldn t advise anyone to give them the time of day full of lies from start to end counting down the day until contract end it ll not happen quickly enough

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Same as all my previous complaints they are closed before they put it right I have no access to my Phone App Told I would receive an email to open link to get access again Must open and use link within 10mins of receiving it or it expires Been waiting 8hrs STILL NO LINK Received 2 emails 1st to close complaint and 2nd to review service I just hope Shell loves this review There is no customer service

Shell energy very poor service

Shell energy very poor service Always have confused personal details sent me cheque with wrong surname I give them a call they transfer me from one line to another one and I final result they said never send me cheque with outstanding balance I spent all my morning explaining situation just waist my time

The worst provider I have ever used

I can honestly say Shell has been the worst broadband provider I have ever used It s strange as I used them a few years ago with no problems but this time the service constantly cuts out Every day I have to keep reconnecting and am always crashing out of sites as the internet suddenly disappears I am counting the months until my contract is up and will never use them again

clueless

Shell have had their bailiffs 1st Locate LCS chasing me for months now for an alleged debt of 2 years ago Having told them that the account was settled they are now asking for proof So the bailiffs are asking me to produce the documents that Shell created and sent me to confirm the account was settled I distanced myself from Shell at the earliest opportunity to move to a provider that gives a damn about their customers This is further proof of the incompetence of Shell Absolutely clueless

I swapped and made a big mistake

I swapped and this became one of my big mistakes in life Its really upset my small business concept and s personal side its a total absolute disaster Two independent certified professional s both said the Routers are inferior and worthless and they don t know each other I was drawn into the bigger name of shell total error its been costly and very frustrating all I can say is DONT

Terrible WiFi Service from Shell Energy

As a dissatisfied customer I feel compelled to warn others about the abysmal WiFi service provided by Shell Energy From constant disruptions to agonizingly slow speeds this service is an absolute nightmare Despite numerous complaints the company has shown little to no interest in rectifying the situation Save yourself the frustration and steer clear of Shell Energy s WiFi service As a customer of this company do not by the most expensive package you can get because it gives you awful download speed for the price you pay connection in most rooms is bad

Terrible Shell Retentions Team

Terrible My contract is about to come to an end I phoned to say I want to cancel This was due to double the price increase They didn t even ask me why I wanted to leave Indeed the guy who handled the call obviously couldn t be bothered He just said so you want to cancel OK I ll proceed it now That was it - no retention effort at all Octopus Energy - no wonder you are selling the broadband arm on after acquisition What poor poor service
