Edit since first post below - You won t believe this story After finding a few resources on Twinkl that I did find worthwhile I decided to try it for a bit longer The resources I found and liked were the interactive power points the themed resources and the instant launch games to use in class I had blocked their direct debit on PayPal but was still subscribed So I contacted them by e-mail to reinstate my direct debit on the direction of PayPal They then sent me an INSTANT e-mail with directions for how to cancel my account Their e-mail address is twinkcares It s really clear to me that Twinkl does not care What a shame Have never had such a ridiculous automated message from a business in my life A very interesting place I really loved the concept of twinkl but unfortunately it is just a time waster for serious teachers Twinkl Create is some kind of sick joke It has had technical problems in the middle of a creation and exited without saving an almost finished worksheet The finished worksheets have downloaded with completely different clipart in them to what I chose and saved in Twinkl create In one instance the lines we re all mixed up on a letter formation sheet Much better just to use Canva for this type of job Canva also allows you to see where everything lines up and is WAY WAY more user friendly Furthermore they are lacking basic resources on their main site - for eg no display of numbers with the number word and countable items The search engine is a disaster They sent me an e-mail for resources I might be interested in I was interested in a resource but when I searched for SATPIN read and reveal words on the Twinkl search engine nothing came up I had to go back to my e-mail and search the link in the e-mail on my PC Then I found it on Google and clicked on the link to find it in Twinkl How absurd MAKE SURE YOU PAY WITH PAYPAL I wanted only a one month subscription but then in my account I saw I was subscribed for 3 months on direct debit If you want to try it or need something specific from Twinkl just sign up via PayPal Then soon after you can block the recurring payment on PayPal Easy to do this - find instructions on Google Overall I am fairly disappointed for the monthly price and will only sign up for the month again if I am teaching a topic I can see they have alot of useful resources on Then I would simply unsubscribe

This is to bring to your awareness about Twinkl Educational Publishing their attitude towards existing customers I made a purchase in December 2019 towards a subscription towards Twinkl Resources I had found them to be inspiring catered towards my teaching learning expectations of the grade level classes I teach While I even upgraded my subscription in early January 2020 I was no way prepared for what happened to me Today at exactly 15 07 hours I was debited from my account an amount of AED 54 78 There was no email no intimation informing me that the deduction was part of auto -renewal towards my subscription How can this be part of their policy when there was nothing informing me of the same when I made my initial payment This is all a carefully orchestrated scheme on the part of Twinkl Educational Publishing to make money In short a money making scheme Please beware When I contacted the chat line online was told it was an automated deduction towards my subscription if I wanted to cancel it would have had to inform them of the same Was I told this NEVER I WASN T EVEN SENT AN EMAIL ME REMINDING ME THAT MY SUBSCRIPTION HAD LAPSED IT WAS GOING TO BE AUTO RENEWED This shows that this company isn t at all transparent It perhaps doesn t care since it feels it has already established its name for itself All those potential customers please beware I wouldn t recommend patronizing them at all as you never know what surprises await you Your card will be charged without even you knowing it I hope they do something about it realize that the customer is always right If they have any business acumen they will correct this asap refund me my money of AED 54 78 Coralie M Dsouza

To start I would like to say I love their resources as a home educator of two children - and have found so much useful stuff on their website whatever topic or curriculum we are looking at So why the bad rating Oh my goodness the customer services are atrocious It is as if they are not actually incentivised by fully fixing the problem so just palm you off over and over again I have emailed I think seven times now and made a phone call about one series of resources journey to continuous cursive The first letter L had a large print worksheet on continuous cursive but the rest as far as I could see did not I did not download all 26 just a small sample I expected that their QA CS would be able to investigate more thoroughly than I could while home schooling I thought I explained this quite clearly -with links with screenshots but every person I emailed replied with a stock reply about giving more detail which I did but then it was like they could not or did not bother to read the email chain to understand or recently they have told me they have fixed two letters The two letters I had explicitly mentioned granted but I had also explained repeatedly how I think this issue affects the entire alphabet I am so tired of having to constantly explain myself I m paying the full price for the ultimate subscription but I have never had such bad customer service in my life and I used to work in customer services replying to emails so I know it s not that hard to investigate fully Very disappointed by how much time I ve had to waste for something that prides itself on being easy and helpful I would consider finding a better alternative that actually cares if I were in the market to get an educational resource subscription I am very disappointed by this experience

Twinkl advertises as being UNLIMITED but my account was deactivated with claims that I went over a limit which was not communicated to me I purchased the service so I could set up my lessons with the resources I do batch processing I don t have the time to be visiting the site daily to get resources PLUS the site does not offer a preview so I cannot determine if the resource is what I want until I download it which would add to my download count I was referred to a policy page on your site which DOES NOT EXPLICITLY SAY NO MORE THAN XXX DOWNLOADS It has a figure in brackets indicating a suggested amount and your policy makes reference to someone s activities being reasonable Reasonable for me may involve accessing a great number of resources to set up my lessons for the week in advance Limiting my downloads would clearly be unethical and perhaps illegal if you clearly advertise and sell your services as UNLIMITED

Had another dip into this looking predominantly at GCSE Literature rescources for Frankenstin and Lord of the Flies I can only assume that the resources for other subjects or Primary are more detailed and advanced than these Why anyone would want to pay for the likes of a potted biography of Mary Shelley or brief notes on the characters of Lord of the Flies when they can easily get similar material for free elsewhere I have no idea Similarly on another English resource the writer teacher had misunderstood the meaning of the word urbane sophisticated refined and confused it with urban - rather unprofessional And there is still nothing for A level English Maybe they ought to employ me As I suggested in my earlier review the astonishing success of this company s business model continues to astound me It takes some doing to persuade so many people to pay for something they can frequently get just as easily for free

Diabolical website 1 Constantly harassed by pop ups 2 Good luck finding resources available on Core membership - seems 80 of material is for Ultimate membership only What s available for Core membership Go figure trial and error only Therefore I am wasting looooooads of time might as well search Google for free stuff 3 Either subscribe to the Ultimate pack or do not bother with other subscriptions AND you will still be harassed by the avalanche of pop ups Third party software doesn t filter out their pop ups neither 4 They are featuring a fake Trustpilot logo of 97 recommendation and nearly 5 stars rating Yea right currently it s 2 3 that s more like it

All very good until you want to cancel i have emaild quite a number of times explaining how serious ill i am and for some reason they wont cancel my payment im now at the point where i am going to have to cancel my bank card to try and stop the payment feeling rob is an understatement

I was contemplating joining as a trial basis but as I am searching for 8th grade resources I can t find any If I not mistaken it was advertised as resources for all grades I am I wrong The highest grade I see on the top bar is 5th grade I do not like that you cannot preview resources How will we determine if it is something we want to use or not So Anyone are resources only up to 5th grade

I purchased a monthly membership as advertising stated that downloads are unlimited In South Africa you teach across multiple grades and subjects yet multiple times my account is stopped because I m downloading too much It s unlimited but with limits False advertising The last email I received Twinkl will monitor your number of downloads frequency of downloads contents of downloads your frequency of access your location of access IP address and device Twinkl considers that no individual user would reasonably need to download large quantities of resources crossing an extensive range of age groups topics and specialisms from a wide variety of locations and devices They are obviously not educators Because if they were you d understand that many times you have to download items from previous grades to address learning gaps The whole thing is also setup so that you can t just download everything you want and leave the membership They want you to pay continuously Unlimited means I can download everything I want and use it at a later date however the company watches you and actually does not like that you do that They d rather block your account for hours or days so you re forced to be a member for a longer period Never felt so lied to by advertising before

Generally okay and some quite useful resources for paid members However do not try to cancel a paid membership The links that are present are tiny and at the bottom of the page finally you will arrive at a dead end On the plus side customer services did respond quite quickly and cancelled my account but frustrating none the less and indicative of the shady business practices others have commented on
