when will the academic planner actually arrive

The academic planner that I was told would be delivered in early December still has not arrived I go back to school in 10 days and still no planner and have been told it may not arrive for another month This is ridiculous

Surprisingly successful business model

Despite being an English teacher for 20 years and living near Twinkl HQ I had never heard of this company I must have driven past their offices dozens of times and never noticed Maybe that was because I retired in 2013 only three years after they were established and I was a secondary teacher whilst they initially concentrated on primary resources I came across them earlier this year during a job search When I read the history of the company I was absolutely staggered by their apparent success and incredible growth in such a short time as to me admittedly not the greatest business person their business model appeared somewhat flawed Contrary to the claim that there were few resources there were many and always have been since I began teaching in the early 1990 s - TES Bitesize Pearson NATE For English and many many more These were for secondary however I assume there must have been a similar wide range for primary I couldn t understand how a company could make such a successful business by charging subscriptions for services products that are readily available elsewhere often for free Also how they could have expanded internationally in the way they apparently have done Anyway good luck to them they have apparently worked hard but like anyone else who is successful in business were in the right place at the right time and must have had lucky breaks and the right contacts Hard work alone is never enough I am conversant enough about business to know this Regarding their website It is obviously massive with hundreds of thousands of resources but as others have said not the easiest to navigate In some ways it is overloaded It is also still predominantly geared towards KS2 The GCSE resources whilst plentiful are often somewhat basic and lacking depth and detail and even after all this time there is still barely anything for some of the more testing less popular GCSE literature texts such as Frankenstein Jane Eyre Great Expectations Never Let Me Go Anita and Me etc How many more resources or display posters as many of the resources seem to be do we need for Romeo and Juliet Macbeth Inspector Calls Christmas Carol or Animal Farm Similarly there is barely anything for A level As I say good luck to them I only wish I d have thought of a similar idea 10 years ago and put my own resources to profitable use It is obvious that despite their woke agenda and good works Twinkl is mainly about maximising profits but then that is no different to any other business However why any individual or institution would want to subscribe still remains a mystery to me Anyway once again good luck to them I admit I m dead jealous

Dissapointed in customer service

Fantastic for a range of resources but terrible customer service been with them for years a loyal customer recommended it to my mother in law she could only use the app as doesn t know how to use internet she set an account up paid for the month tried downloading a resource but couldn t print it in frustration with the app she decided to close the account and just use mine when I contacted Twinkl for a refund stating the issue they said because she has downloaded 1 resource she can t have a refund she wasn t bothered about the money but it s the principle

super content could have better account management support for independent subscribers

So firstly the content is really great and there is such and extensive amount of resources available to a wide variety of different users It s def worth the access and I have used it both through a company subscription and more recently independently The firm subscription is perfect and you can get what every you need however where I have been disappointed is not with the content but instead the difficulty of managing your account if you independently subscribe I now work in the financial sector and would like to think I m tech savvy I wanted just a months access only to vet content for my wedding to keep the kids busy and didn t realise that setting up through PayPal Twinkl automatically set up a rolling monthly subscription direct debit which I couldn t close or manage properly in the official Twinkl site which was misleading very unclear I couldn t see cancel easily and had to contact them via email directly via PayPal to cancel I discovered after I was charged for a second month I was taken aback when I received an email saying Twinkl had automatically taken payment through my PayPal account which I didn t realise they set up in there Also I repeatedly asked for a refund for the automatic payment whilst cancelling my subscription via email They were quick to reply which was good but at first I was told my subscription would end the following month - they were basically saying they would keep the money which isn t right until I replied to the email that under U K law consumers have a right to receive a refund to online services and subscriptions up to 14days after payment if they haven t used the content and I sent them a link to the gov website then I was issued a refund thank you If it s helpful my advice would be make sure you understand the payment process if you independently subscribe and realise you ll be set up for automatic rolling direct debit payments you ll need to manage in other apps sites which may be complex for non-tech users and that there is an opportunity for Twinkl as a company to support customers better on account management and perhaps getting some software upgrades to allow customers to have greater oversight and control of the payment process I hope this is a fair and helpful review I look forward to using their resources at my wedding

Cancellation

I joined Twinkl during lockdown when my then 5 year old granddaughter was being home schooled Yes the resources are very good My complaint is about the cancellation process or lack of Instructions for cancelling are vague and I wasn t able to find the link they referred to on their website I therefore cancelled my payments with my bank and emailed customer services to let them know They replied and required an astonishing amount of information before they could cancel this was to confirm ownership of the account Seven questions including details of recent downloads It s a pity really because the resources are good I

I have been with Twinkl since 2021 and am delighted with their high-quality varied resources and professional seamless website - no problems there However - and this is extremely frustrating - please can the Twinkl developers clearly state the class year each resource is designed for This would make life so much easier as I have to spend literally hours scanning each resource to gauge whether it s for e g Year 8 or Year 9 pupils This is time-consuming and annoying It s not helpful grouping every resource into KS3 or KS4 There needs to be more accuracy Also on the homepage when I check the box for resources for the 11-14 age range I receive primary resources What is the point of this Please fix this Twinkl Then I shall give you 5 stars

Not as good as it was

I have used twinkl for years and lately they keep asking for more money and upgrades to access good resources I did this recently and yet have not been able to access resources anyway I keep getting emails saying it will expire in 42 days but at the moment I am unable to download the lessons I need for this week I am still waiting for a response from them

I recently contacted Twinkl about an account I had I have written evidence from Twinkl that it is a free account and no payments have been taken Well my credit card shows an unauthorised payment of 101 88 They are now saying they will locate the account You wrote to me less than a month saying it was free RETURN MY MONEY YOU TOOK Does Twinkl really care Edit They have instigated a refund which is appreciated

Quick to remove grammatical error

I ve been a Twinkl member since 8 months and I love it I like to call it The Google of teachers I ve had a few technical issues and after getting in touch with the team they would answer very quickly and do their best to fix the problem

Twinkl support staff sorted my

I have always found Twinkl a useful resource but recently needed to raise an issue with them Unfortunately this concerned an error on their page about speech marks In the very first example given the comma at the end of a piece of direct speech was outside the speech marks I contacted the company to point this out and the error was swiftly corrected Since then I ve received emails requesting my lovely feedback These I initially ignored but they kept coming So top marks for the speed of the response - and a star docked for the fact that the mistake should never have happened at all in a highly-rated Ofsted-approved resource
