I bought ticket to train 30 minutes

I bought ticket to train 30 minutes before departure but it was all ready delayed more than 1 5 hour Nobody informed me straightly that this company have full day from the morning problems with electricity When I was in VR office nobody apologize about this situation I lost mine ship from Helsinki to Tallinn Even if company inform me I can buy ticket to onnibus but nobody care about personal time

Our train got cancelled last minute

Our train got cancelled last minute and they did not give any compensation that we had to buy a last minute plane ticket instead We booked our train ticket a month early to be able to travel as cheap as possible we travelled to Helsinki from Rovaniemi on a holiday and our trip to go to Helsinki was fine but when we were ready to come back to Rovaniemi we received an email on the day of the trip that it s cancelled due to strike and they just sent the money back for the train ticket We had to leave our airbnb and we were left with all our baggages with no trip to go back home We had work on the next day in Rovaniemi so we had to buy a last minute plane ticket which was 5 times more expensive then the train ticket would have been and the VR company gave us no compensation after several emails NEVER AGAIN

Due to a strike on their part at 21 3 our train got cancelled Asked for a compensation after we had to buy flight ticket back to home since we needed to get back on that day due to work They just said they don t compensate our extra cost which we paid 200 extra than what we anticipated because they announced the strike well in advance and was out of their control To me it is their fault that it happened in a first place as strike happens for a reason and reason being unsatisfactory work condition given by the company they work for which was on 19 3 we purchased the ticket at 9 3 and arrived on 16th of March Which doesn t change the circumstances as we were already in holiday destination on 16th of March and leaving on 21 It saids that on the occasion of delay they will compensate up to 5000euros Apparently to this company delay is more serious than a cancellation of their service all together we exchange few emails but they started to ignore what I wrote There are no point of strike if company doesn t experience significant loss that s how strike works Employee refuse to work due to lack of companies employee care and company to compensate all the clients they have I know VR is a monopoly here in Finland but I think they could improve both employee and customer care that s what you can improve And I m disappointed the fact that they didn t own up to their mistakes

My God what a horrible trip to Helsinki Just take Onnibus instead Placed me in the middle of the carriage with the kids playing area and people constantly up and down up and down walking around shouting Kids kicking the back of my chair The chair was also broken and kept sliding back on the people behind me Also what is it that people can t just sit in their allocated seat ffs Rocket science is it A big debate then as to why they have to change seat when the rightful ticket holder arrives Wake up Avoid this company if you want to travel in peace

VR stands for Vacking Ridiculous That lot could not run a kid s train set After years they have not figured out that running too few trains to connect cities means people all use the one single option Meaning that travellers from Helsinki Jyv skyl on a Sunday evening leave the IC to find a single carriage toy train which covers ca 1 3 if needed capacity Result wait in the cold cram into a tiny uncomfortable coach arrive late Whoever is in charge of this permanent-disaster deserves nothing less than the sack

Very bad company just don t ever travel with this company this is just bad only thing they do good is delaying food made me vomit and water made me vomit as well

They suck

They go on strike and cancel your trip Then require You to pay extra to get a new ticket It s a joke So I book my ticket a month in advance to have it at a good price 7 90 and now I had to pay extra 9 because of their stupid strike I wish there was other train companies in Finland that I could use
