Not entirely honest

I wouldn t recommend this company unless you have no better options They appear to be a UK company but seem to actually operate from Italy They list products as In stock when what that really means is available for them to order from the manufacturer factory They explicitly say Product shipped from the UK even though it s evidently not They cheekily offer a Prime delivery option with no explanation of what it entails In practice it still ships from Italy and may take weeks to arrive depending on stock availability They communicate poorly leaving orders marked as Processing when actually they are stuck waiting for stock and then even when they have been shipped They don t reliably send notification emails If you phone the UK number on the website the guy who answers the phone is basically a salesman with no knowledge of stock levels or order status If you ask about the status of an order he tells you curtly to email the website When the website fails to reply so you phone again he gets angry cuts you off and puts down the phone When you call again he won t even pick up Basically he thinks his job is to answer questions about products everything else is just an annoyance I m very happy with the products I bought but I would try hard to avoid having anything to do with this company again That s a shame since I imagine they believe they re just doing their best But as long as they pretend to have a UK warehouse with actual UK stock and staff when actually none of that is true they will feel the need to constantly misrepresent things to the customer

Theft well long term unauthorised possession at least

Bought a Rancilio sylvia coffe machine new It broke down - well it happens They charged me 35 shipping for a warranty repair or replacement - and replaced it with a second hand machine After 4 months Outrageous Still no communications - avoid them It is Now 13 July 2010 - My replacement machine just arrived So it took three months to replace the defective machine they sent me I have expended most of the first year of the warranty without a machine for the majority of that time because this company is tardy behaves irresponsibly and does not seem to understand that communication is key In fairness to them they have sent a replacement machine Is everything OK - well relieved I didn t have to drive to Italy to deal face to face and fetch a new machine still irked that they gave such poor customer service Realistically I had a manufacturers warranty and instead of making the process as easy as possible they made it arduous unpleasant and long Their t c is incorrect - distance buying regulations state the applicable law is the area of the consumer different if you are a business but they say it is Italian law Their web site has a UK address and a UK phone number - were it apparent that they trade from Italy I would not have bought from them Overall they have a way to go to achieve even an acceptable standard of service

repeatedly slow to respond poor customer service

We bought a La Pavoni Professional I called their London phone number to check if in stock paid by Paypal then waited 2 weeks for machine having expected about 2 days Countless calls never returned or answered Machine arrived with cracked glass tube so fed up by this stage I wanted a refund not a replacement as I had now found out that the company was actually based in Italy and I was concerned for future servicing or if we would need to wait another month and risk further problems They agreed to return and refund and were polite at this point However it took ages for them to acknowledge receipt of the machine and actually make the refund through Paypal I paid for the machine on 30 01 12 and the refund came 12 03 12 after many emails chasing them during which time my husband was convinced we d never get our money back I do not believe they are dishonest apart from the impression that they are UK based but their customer service and response time is extremely poor They need to manage people s expectations of timings far better I would not recommend them and would be concerned about their ability for afterservice

Mixed feelings

Order not sent within 24hrs as web site states received erroneous tracking number following morning when I enquired then later again correct tracking numbers which showed that items were processed only that afternoon 48 hrs I wonder how much longer it would have taken had I not asked Company used Fedex which is good - there are plenty of complaints that involve their use of UPS it seems Coffee machine was OK but noticed that the pump ran dry when the reservoir was empty There should have been a circuit breaker to prevent this from happening but it looks like this does not work The grinder has a slight dent to the side When I enquired about this I received the following answer the grinder is handmade by artisans it s normal that sometimes there are little cosmetic imperfections I now wonder whether these are reject B-graded machines I expect a more in terms of speed customer service and quality when I spend a large 4-digit amount of money on a purchase like this hence I would not recommend using this company until they have sorted out themselves

unacceptable service

we had to send our rancilio silvia to coffeitalia because it didn t worked we payed 40 for transport in advance and further 170 for repairing it when we got it back -the primary problem was fixed- and we started the machine ---- no coffee but a new noisy sound after screwing it we found a broken buck for the pipe and a far too short silicone hose damages which haven t been there before coffeeitalia s reaction was rude and after another long email seesaw they claimed us to pay 24 in advance again for the transport of the new pieces service dove sei

Very bad service

Very bad service I didn t get an invoice It took me a lot of effort to get it after almost 2 months The coffee maker didn t work properly so i complained but didn t get any reaction Next time I order somewhere else definitely

Ordered an espresso machine and a

Ordered an espresso machine and a grinder Both arrived later than the UPS scheduled delivery date so I was waiting in for nothing and both shipped with a dangerous and illegal unfused adaptor plug Very disappointing from what appeared to be a reputable seller Invoice numbers were UK100119451 and UK100119465The sale was a clear breach of the Plugs and Sockets etc Safety Regulations 1994 as it did not come with a UK plug or a suitable adaptor unfused removable travel adaptors are not suitable adaptors To be clear I am not asking for a refund I have just fitted plugs and the goods are otherwise perfect this is just a warning to other buyers

long delivery time and then charging for fault during warranty

I have 2 issues with this company1 I bought a machine thinking that it is in stock It arrived 3 weeks later and it arrived with a EU plug 2 After a few months during warranty a plastic bit on the machine the milk steaming knob started to bend and hence became loose Coffee Italia Asked me to pay for a replacement part It also took them more than a month to come up with this saying that this is due to the vendor being on a long holiday supposedly from just before Christmas until 20th of January

Poor communication Shipped from Italy

Great Jura Impressa J9 TFT machine at what appeared to be a good price Website looks like the goods are shipped from the UK but they are shipped from Italy Eventually got an invoice from a Spanish company so as it was a business purchase we couldn t claim the vat So it worked out a little more expensive than buying from John Lewis or similar On the plus side there was an offer to get a Jura cup warmer FOC which is a good product

NOT FROM LONDON - POOR COMMUNICATION - WOULDN T BUY AGAIN

Firstly I received the product after 10 days I had for next day delivery which is a scam as it s sent from Italy They act as though they re a London based company with a fake address fake branding and a fake London area-code and got rather angry when I called them to ask where they were shipping the machine from Poor customer service only good thing is the price but not worth the hassle and uncertainty
