Ordered a coffee machine and latte

Ordered a coffee machine and latte cups Thankfully the machine was fine 2 months later still waiting for cups Tried ringing contact forms etc nothing so far I would not buy from them again Edit following reply Thanks for getting back and making the effort to reply I received no communication with regards to the issues you mentioned if I had received such communication previously then I would not have to resort to trust pilot This was my first online review ever and all because I felt frustrated at the lack of of response from your company No emails and no answers to telephone calls I am happy to wait for the latte cups If you read my review it was succinct accurate and mentioned the coffee machine was fine Your obviously not an online scammer I don t understand the star system I have changed it to 2 stars My point still stands

Misinformation pre-sales

I have just purchased a refurbished Gaggia Magenta Prestige from this company Before placing my order I was told that this machine had been used for a short while in a trade show otherwise it was unused However the labels on the box I received appear to tell a rather different story One label shows that this machine had originally been delivered to another distributor in the UK Another shows that it had been returned by a customer under warranty I have been given no explanation as to the pre-sales misinformation I was given Nor do I have any knowledge of why the machine was originally returned

Product is great service is not so great

Ordered a 700 coffee machine Order placed 20th June Product arrived 20th July Paid via bank transfer did not receive a confirmation of payment my emails ignored Product lost during delivery via UPS I had to call many times to Caffe Italia AND UPS to follow up Would have wished Caffe italia to take the initiative to follow up a lost package they sent as UPS refused to provide me further details as Caffe Italia was the sender of the package Lost package wasn t resent until several weeks after first order No reimbursement offered for my time wasted and delayed enjoyment Barbara on the UK phone customer service was kind and friendly that helped

Delivery of machine was fine

Delivery of machine was fine but I tried to send one to a friend abroad and after confirming they could ship to that country they wanted to send it to me Also as soon as I needed a filter replacement they directed me to a random website that never replied to phone calls or emails Disappointing

Mixed feelings Some good and some not so good

I have received today my Rancilio Silvia V5 2019 refurbished machine It is in a good condition with minor wear and tear However for some reason the machine is rocking on the counter that is pretty weird I don t know if the body is twisted slightly or The homepage states that it is sent from the UK and supplied with UK plug The tracking showed it came from Italy with European plug and 3 adaptors no scoop and no back flush rubber supplied Now it makes sense that how on earth they can have still one left on the homepage after I bought mine and before I bought it it said there is only one left available These machines may not be showroom demonstration equipment as it is stated on the page The group head wasn t properly cleaned as burnt coffee fell off and the portafilter had some coffee oils on the underside the fastening pegs I think there is nothing wrong with selling refurbished equipment but be transparent about where the equipment is coming from and at least clean backflush and descale the machine properly I haven t got the chance to try it yet but I am curiously waiting if i will have any more surprises

Have patience - this is not Amazon

I was nervous about ordering given the extreme reviews on this site I avoided the offer of 2 5 discount if you pay by bank transfer as the terms and conditions are Italian law If anything went wrong you would be stuffed I paid by credit card to ensure I would get my money back if I was scammed My item went missing en route and for a whole week I had no update from Caffe Italia or Fedex TNT who were shipping from Italy so I started a s75 credit card claim through my bank Finally I heard back from them the issue was resolved each party blaming the other and I got my machine 9 days after I had expected it My only gripe was that it came with a European plug and adapter which I can live with - it was not the sort of adapter you take on holiday - it was something more permanent looking I have had the machine Silvia for a week now and the only issues with it have been a result of my incompetence If you want Amazon customer service go to Amazon I am pleased with the price I paid but shudder to think what my experience would have been if the machine had been faulty

The company is good but the costumer service is terrible

the costumer service is arrogant and don t have profile to speak with clients but i have received the products is good order

Good product slow delivery

Very happy with my purchase good product at a fair price however shipping and communication could be improved Although the product showed as in stock delivery took 25 days This timeframe was not communicated at all the website says nothing about delivery taking 3 weeks When I contacted Cafe Italia 7 days after my purchase I was told that the item had shipped but they could not provide tracking information Another 7 days after this I received a notification from the delivery company that they had received the item for delivery From here the delivery was a pretty standard 5 days but not great that there was such a delay on getting the item dispatched to me and that this delay was not communicated at all Very happy with the machine once it arrived it was well packed and as described Would have been much better had they just upfront about the delivery timeframe on the website or let me know once I had placed thee order that delivirey would take around 3 weeks The majority of my emails were not responded to although I did manage to get through on the phone

No reply to my emails Also caff Italia did not inform me on my delivery date therefore I had no idea when my order would arrive

Not the best first impression

Will happily update this review depending on how the support process goes - but my first experience hasn t been ideal It took a little longer for the tracking info to be sent onto me than I was expecting assumed it would be an automatic process but had to ask for details - not a massive issue but I though this was coming from within the UK - not a deal breaker but just a little conflicting Finally arrived ordered 9th Oct on the 20th Sadly the hopper is cracked quite severely and has an EU plug not UK - this is a 240 grinder so not really the welcome I was expecting While I can arrange parts and fixes if required awaiting what happens next not the out of box I was experience and sadly means a quite a bit more waiting Hopefully the customer service can deal with this - and I will update this accordingly but not overly happy to begin update received a nice reply very quickly and a new part is being shipped soon - can t fault that response
