it is a printer

My review is as follows As for the printer Ender 3 pro I feel it is a fairly well made product with only minor issues I had no issues in setting up and getting to run I feel it could use a better hot end as it frequently clogged The extruder is rather cheaply made from plastic which breaks within a few weeks of using The controller does function as it should but leaves much to be desired My biggest problem is the way the warranty is worded to be perceived as a year warranty Now while they parts MAY be covered under warranty and even if the part is covered your warranty shipping cost are only covered for 1 week after purchase You will pay a highly over charged fee for shipping from china to replace anything It took me almost 2 months of emails and sending video and pictures of a faulty extruder motor and the tests i was repeatedly required to run before i was informed that it would cost me 14 00 to have a new motor shipped to me i can buy from amazon for 11 00 and shipped in 2 days creality claims they are refunding me the amount it cost for me to buy on my own but i will say i cancelled 2 orders i had for enders and i have informed everyone due to the extremely poor customer service that you should avoid creality and look to a better company for your purchase if you purchase from creality and your printer has no issues then you will enjoy it very much but if you have any issues at all you will be pushed to the point of just buying on your own as i did i have reported the way the are portraying their warranty and misleading people to the US better business bureau and am in the middle of finding out who to inform in china of their business practices good luck in all you try to do

This place is trash

In my corona chaos haze I failed to do due diligence on this company I foolishly thought it was the real thing I ordered on May 7th with a shipment from the US by May 18th Pretty typical experience as the rest I sent an email and they delay and delay Finally on the 23rd I received some random shipping number fro OnTrac which shows a label created on May 7th I sent a few more emails just give us another day or 2 it s coming we just don t know where it is Really How do you do business like this Well on the 26th which was the far end of my proposed shipping receipt date I received another give us another day I said nope cancel my transaction and I will escalate through Paypal They said no so I filed a Paypal complaint Well magically lastnight I received a flurry of emails from OnTrac and boom It was just delivered No shipping data between the 7th and the 27th then boom at my house today Horrible

Not really in-stock lied on ship date red flags everywhere

Claimed to have Ender 3 s in-stock with an estimated ship date of 5 15 A week later and no word on shipping I contacted them to cancel my order and didn t hear back until I d sent multiple emails over a few days I had to insist they cancel my order and I m still waiting to see if that processes In that conversation to cancel they showed me an updated estimate for shipping on my order and begged me to stay offering a 5 discount refund But they pasted a screenshot of a totally different model than what I ordered Just seemed to have red flags all over the place They may be an authorized reseller for Creality and to be fair they were nice to me but I ll never order from here again Appears to be a shady company with questionable business practices I d skip them and order from the official Creality site or a known-good reseller

Order Issues

Ordered an Ender-5 and two spools of PLA that the site said was in stock and would ship from a US warehouse with 3-7 days shipping That was on May 5th Eleven days later still nothing The PLA has been shipped just not from the US as stated but from China The printer has not shipped and the ship date seems to have changed to 31 May I did receive notice that the PLA was shipping but no notice of the change of dates on the printer I have emailed the company but received no responses as of yet

Okay printer poor customer service and documentation

The printer I purchased is okay I bought it on sale and for the quality is what to be expected for that price The printer is missing a piece which they claim isn t needed anymore yet they provide the STL file for the part and the part is still shown in their manuals There was no admission of fault of missing the piece or the willingness to send out the part I ve spotted one grammatical error with their Creality Slicer with my brief use of it but I don t see the point in telling them because I doubt they d would listen I wouldn t recommend going with them

Bait and Switch scam

Printer is pretty good but they advertise an additional Titan direct drive extruder that I didn t get Been trying for months to get this resolved Even got assurances the ad would be changed admission that I am owed the part and a probable shipping date Almost 2 weeks later still no shipping number and they didn t respond to my last email Bait and Switch arguing delaying and lies It all started with what is your order number Here it is CRDP55152 Ordered 8 9 22 Update 10 6 22 - Got a response from Creality telling me that the printer was delivered Same way this whole thing started not understanding what I am saying Got a request for more information reference number which is the original order number in the complaint A third message actually giving me a tracking number finally and advising me that it may take 30 business days or more to get it All part of their pattern

Good enough with questionable

The E3P has been a solid and forgiving printer for me as I ve learned how to design and make 3d prints in both PLA and PETG My skills are quickly developing and I think the Ender deserves some credit for that The entry price is low about 230 to get started these days due to recent price cuts The one thing that the Ender 3 Pro gets -really- wrong is the mini-USB jack as it has become difficult to procure mini-USB cables I can understand why this device hasn t moved to USB-C but it should at least be changed to a micro-usb connector You can expect to do a lot of fiddling over a few days to get the printer dialed in just right It s very likely that several screws on the Ender will be loose Experienced hobbyists wouldn t have trouble identifying these issues but it can be a challenge for new people It s a part of the learning process and you ll understand your printer well by the time you get good prints One other place where the Ender 3 Pro falls flat is with the press-fit gearing for the belt drives on the X and Y axis I hadn t realized that they had taken this short cut until after I had purchased stepper motor dampers and realized that the drives have been press-fit onto the stepper motors This disappointing for two reasons Firstly this makes installing motor dampers impossible Second I believe this probably makes replacing the stepper motors themselves in the event of failure also impossible I m not sure how many pennies they saved with this decision but it certainly devalues the printer

Creality products in general tend to be

Creality products in general tend to be buggy and this particular 3D printer was no exception I bought two of these CR 10 max to add to our fleet one of which was fine and continues to function adequately after belt tightening and re- torquing literally every Fastener on every pre assembled piece Mech Solutions out of Toronto are the agent for Creality and they have been very elusive not responding to any emails or phone messages in regard to resolving questions about the second CR 10 Max This is unfortunate as I feel basically Creality has a good consumer semi commercial grade 3D printer in the CR 10 Max Additionally we forwarded a request to purchase 6 additional larger printers from Mech Solutions and despite having stock at the time our request remains un-responded to In all fairness to Mech Solutions as we own quite a few Creality products 10 up to present we have experienced very adequate service occasionally but it is very spotty and occasionally things are promised that never materialize Our fleet of printers now includes 3 CR 10 S Pros 3 CR 10 S Pro V2 2 CR 10 Max 2 CR X dual extruder Printers2 Dremel 3D20 Printers 2 Dremel 3D45 Printers In closing I should say as stated earlier Creality products have great potential however better attention to quality control and more conscientious support from their North American Agent would go along way to brightening up this review
