We have just had the most awful traumatic experience with KC sofas We purchased 2 leather sofas over 3000 in 2021 After 5 months the sofas started dipping We also noticed the quality of the leather was not the same as sold to us in the Lincoln showroom KC sofas told us they were allowed as manufacturers to change the leather grade as they had got it at a better price I did check this with trading standards who disagreed as this is classed as miss -selling goods They then sent home serve who said they would note the dipping on their report report came back no fault found customers fault for constantly sitting on the sofas We then had our own independent investigation from Barrdale which showed up lots of stitching dipping etc faults KC customer service Sam told us case closed We began court action It wasn t til the 2nd hearing that KC sofas customer services said as a gesture of goodwill they would re-stuff the seats By this time 18 months later the springs had broken the frame was bent and the arm was leaning As it approached the 3rd hearing they said they would re- fund us We are still 420 out of pocket due to Barrdale fees and court fees Please note KC sofas are not members of any ombudsman organizations or ADR You are on your own Sam at customer services is not always truthful and very unprofessional which has been picked up by lots of unsatisfied customers This whole experience has taken its toll on us 18 months of stress and sleepless nights It s just been awful and I mGlad our nightmare is over even at a cost to us

What an awful company to do business with They sold us faulty sofas they were not of the same quality material as we ordered their excuse was the manufacturer had changed the leather catergory They seem to think that my contract is with the manufacturer and not with them They sent a completely useless furniture inspector to us via homeserve who said there was a fault with the settee yet his report blamed us for sitting on the settee They told us to get an independent report done which we did they refused to accept it The woman in customer service lies continually and seems to think she s judge jury and executioner with the way she says case closed We had to take them to court and it was only after preliminary hearings that they then offered a full refund They believe they can verbally bully people into giving up on any claims In short they and homeserve make peoples lives a misery I do expect a reply from the smart mouth in customer service it ll probably all be lies as we re used to Steer clear of this company and if you have any dealings with homeserve record them

Very disappointing service level
Very disappointing service level Absolutely no problem taking payment in March but now approaching 20 weeks until sofa is received At the time of purchase and as advertised on their website it states that delivery is complimentary to certain postcodes which I fall within I was told that a new fee structure came in for new orders in June and they cannot refund this Irrespective of what new policy is in place at the time of purchase I should not have been charged a delivery fee Given the delivery has been so long It is not unreasonable to request the fee that should have been charged to be refunded This remains quoted on their website at present The offer of paying a higher price for the sofa in lieu of the delivery quite frankly highlights the service level Hopefully the sofa arrives without any further delays or issues Judging by other reviews that I have only seen now I am not hopeful Sofa was purchased in March and hopeful that it may arrive in August

Waste of time
Ordered corner sofa and armchair in May took the finance option and was told the first payment would come off after the sofa had been delivered We were told it would be in August then they got in touch with us 2 weeks ago to say that the finance option was running out and they could mark the couch as delivered and we d start paying for it now prior to receiving it Today we received a call again to say that the finance option had run out and the order would have to be cancelled We were told we could then try and order the couch again but that there was no guarantee our finance would be approved a second time round 4 months wasted waiting on a delivery that hasn t even been started Poor service will stick to the trusted companies we ve used in the past going forward

I would highly recommend not purchasing
I would highly recommend not purchasing leather furniture from this company My furniture has deteriorated drastically after only 2 years of very light use My previous 5 leather sofas bought from other high street stores have looked better after 10 years of use I live in a one person household my previous furniture withstood the use of a growing family I am informed by the company there is nothing they can do So beware

AVOID Can t fault the people at the showroom Was sold 5 years manufacturing guarantee yet won t fix a problem which it was delivered on the day with Was told 6-8 weeks delivery arrived on the 11th week with 0 communication One of the main cushions was significantly softer than the others confirmed by their inspector but then was told by customer services to pay 80 for a third party inspector as they just want us to plump it Terrible terrible customer service from start to finish nice people in the showroom though

Never buy off these again bought a settee paid extra for insurance now after 14 month the arms totally worn had insurance company out and they won t do anything about it so phoned kc sofas back and how rude customer service was is ridiculous saying its not our fault it s yours

Very poor quality
I have had nothing but trouble with my sofa it s a good job I paid the extended warranty as for the last 2 years they have been to repair it 4 times and the sofa is not even that old and wouldn t mind but we only sit on it on an evening the padding is that thin you can feel every beam of wood in it I would not recommend this sofa company to anyone

We were able to go look round the showroom in June and found a corner suite the salesman was lovely we went away to measure and had to alter what we were originally going to purchase This all went smoothly It was explained to us about staingard that could be purchased so when I ordered the sofa asked to purchase staingard and informed we could this after delivery We received an email 2 weeks prior to our sofa being ready was told it could take up to 8-10 weeks which was fine to say that deliver would be delayed due to factories working at 60 staff due to coronavirus which again was fine because week 10 was when we were luckily able to go away on our prebooked holiday Whilst on holiday received a phone call to say our sofa was ready and could arrange delivery I wasn t keen on this as my daughter was at home but didn t like the idea of her on her own to accept delivery Any felt pressured to accept delivery which we did to them be contacted by the delivery team to say could we arrange for someone to remove our front window because they couldn t get the sofa through the door Stressed at this point Tried to contact kc sofas to discuss an alternative but the showroom is closed in Wednesday How useful When we got home from holiday my partner and I easily brought the sofa into the house so paid 60 for delivery for drop n go Once we had the sofa in the house we unpackaged the sofa and found some damage I rang to sort it and it was really terrible that we had to argue for a repair to be done To sofa wasn t able to be checked because it was delivered into the garage I also tried to arrange staingard but because delivery had already been made was now unable to purchase it The quality of the sofa isn t great and feel it won t be lasting us 15 years like our previous years from another company We purchased local to support local businesses but won t be returning to this company Shoddy customer service once product purchase Oh we did receive a care kit as a gesture of goodwill AVOID
