Poor Customer Service with faulty goods

Received 2 leather sofas early November Straight away reported fault as recliner was catching on adjoining seat Company sent two drivers out to assess it couldn t resolve the problem Independent assessor came 4th January found seats had been fastened too close together so leather between seats had been badly ripped We asked for replacement sofas Have been chasing ever since but customer services say still not received report from Italian manufacture as they had been closed for Christmas break I was assured the matter would be resolved to my satisfaction when I initially reported fault but am fed up of waiting continually having to call them for information Sales delivery staff very good but Customer service needs drastic improvement

Lack of Customer Service Skills

This review is not aimed at the sofa manufacturer who were nothing less than courteous and helpful in resolving our final issue We purchased our 3-part sofa at the Lincoln store where the staff were polite engaging and pleasantly professional At the point of ordering it was made clear that we would unpack the units ourselves due to work on-going externally to a summerhouse KC Sofas delivered a team of 3 chaps and all units placed roughly in position still placed in their bubblewrap and corrugated cardboard 30-ish days later we unwrapped the corner unit to find that the lower corner was broken the frame being cracked in two places and two glider feet and accompanying washers missing I dropped KC Sofas Customer Support an email to ask if they could assist or make any recommendations as to how we might resolve the situation If you take time to read the abundance of reviews including recent ones it will be no surprise to learn that the response was quite simply that it was not there problem that I should have unpacked before the delivery team had left No suggestion of where or how I could get the damage repaired caused almost certainly from having been dropped from a height even confirmed by the repairer who incidentally is probably UK s most highly accomplished furniture upholster Despite sending an abundance of photos to KC Sofas none of these were passed onto the manufacture Why well apparently their past experience tells them that it wouldn t have led to a positive response I asked about the feet and was expected to wait 7-10 days for them to arrive if indeed the manufacturer deemed it to be there issue When I followed this up with the manufacturer they were incredibly helpful but when this came to the attention of KC Sofas Customer Services I received yet another unwarranted and overly defensive email It s sad really having to spend 180 to repair a brand new sofa that wasn t even damaged by ourselves all because the seller fails to understand or respect how customers should be treated Could I recommend KC Sofas no not really and that s not with regards to their outlet staff but customer service is absolutely appalling to say the least

ORDERED A SOFA IN MAY

ORDERED A SOFA IN MAY CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC UNTIL IT CAME TO DELIVERY ADVISED ALL THE WAY A LONG THE PROCESS THAT WE HAD NO SOFA CAME IN TO STORE ON THE 20TH JUNE STILL WAITING FOR A DELIVERY DATE i WAS NEVER ADVISE THAT YOU HAVE TO WAIT 7-10 DAYS TO EVEN GET A DELIVERY DATE ONCE THE STOCK IS WITH THEM NOT GREAT MY SECOND TIME OF BUYING A SOFA FROM KCS WILL THINK TWICE ABOUT IT NEXT TIME As of today still waiting for a Delivery date

Disappointed with quality

We ordered the Ingles suite in 2021 for delivery January 2022 Could not fault the ordering the staff or the delivery The problem is the fabric of the cushions is unravelling before our eyes Being a tweed type pattern the thread is coming undone on nearly all the cushions seating and support too The suite is in our lounge so used every day When I looked on the insurance policy unless the problem is caused by accident it is classed as wear and tear That would be fair enough but there are only two of us in the house no pets or children to damage any of our furniture which is all looked after carefully My problem is I find this is a ridiculous excuse considering the suite is not even 2 years old yet So I am afraid the company were fine to deal with but if this is the quality we have paid over 1000 for I cannot recommend it

Got there in the end

Received our sofas on Friday 7th June after waiting approx32 weeks as when they were delivered after 16 weeks they were the wrong colour I would like to give a mention to two staff in the Worksop showroom Dean who was our first point of contact and Andrea who dealt with us in an efficient and compassionate manner Unfortunately I cannot say the same about Chris in Customer Services who was unhelpful in the first instance disbelieved us when we said we had not ordered Blue and initially said KC Sofas had honoured their part of the contract and there was nothing he could do to help He also said that we had probably changed our mind about the colour and thats why we were refusing delivery I hope he was happy that he had a 72 year old woman in tears after all spending over 3500 and being told you would have to keep 2 Blue sofas that you didn t order would upset anyone We wouldn t accept delivery and decided to go to the showroom on our way there we received a call from Chris saying they were going to replace the sofas but of course we had to wait another 16 weeks and KC Sofas have had our money all that time Chris also said that he could let us have a suite on loan to use while we were waiting for our sofas but we declined the offer All the delivery guys are a credit to KC Sofas unfortunately I didn t get the names of the guys who delivered the wrong sofas but special thanks to Nathan and Tom who delivered the correct sofas on Friday We are completely satisfied with our La-Z-Boy sofas the quality is superb

I have thought hard and long about this review it has been an up and down experience Here goes Visited showroom in July Showroom experience could not be faulted Placed order there and then Leather curved corner unit Delivery end of October November Perfect Suite arrived in U K November That is where our difficulties began Tried to narrow down delivery date told as per company policy order is checked on arrival It is then sent to dispatch for delivery to customer who would be given a delivery Fanfastic system On paper Tried to get a date for delivery phoned but coiuld only get through to our original showroom They could not give delivery date Finally managed to to send an E Mail Success Over the week-end had telephone calls E Mails saying would be delivered Wednesday Fantastic Suite delivered in time slot HURRAH Assembled by delivery team GREAT Delivery team went to connect power packs for reclining sections of suite No transformers What an anti-climax It does tateon the contract that orders will only be delivered when order is complete Trouble somewhere in the system Fantastic on paper BUT Taking to account that i am now a Knackered Old S without fully working recliners even more knackered Now good news Telephone call from Sam transfomers have been ordered as soon as they arrve will be delivered and fitted More good news Showroom manager came round to loan us a transformer from a showroom suite 100 service from showroom and Sam Transformers arrived 7 days later all working All in All it was worth the aggro because the suite is magnificent The only reason i have not given a 5STAR is the hiccup along the way Would i recommend KCsofas to others Probably yes Would we use KCsofas again yes ALL IN ALL NO BAD Ricky W

I got recommended KC from a couple of my friends so i decided to visit the showroom in Barnsley i got served by George who was not pushy and gave me good advice on the sofas Unfortunately when i received my sofas i did not notice a flaw in the material at first the complaints department were insistant that i should have checked i did check but the flaw was really tiny and caught my eye a few nights after receiving it They were bouncing emails between us and not admiting any fault saying i should have checked but i stuck to my guns and sent them the consumer act soon after they decided to send a member of the team to come check the flaw which I should have noticed at first sight He was polite but had to ask me where the flaw was my answer was exactly it can not been seen at first sight once i showed him the flaw he understood my reasoning in the end they agreed to replace the cushion so in the end i was satisfied and i am still happy with my purchase So i advice anyone to stick to your guns mention the consumer rights act and they will probably sort the complaint out
