I am a bathroom fitter and I have been purchasing and fitting matki products for several years unfortunately the quality of the materials I have purchased and then fitted over the last 2 years is appalling and there after sales is even worse The company now only does half days on a Tuesday and Friday and when you do get through you are told to email and they will get back to you which they do eventually I have now decided to tell all my customers not to purchase Matki products as the company just does not care and the last straw for me is that I have been refurbishing a bathroom for a customer where they had purchased a Matki shower cubicle when I went to fit it I opened the boxes to find several damaged parts Matki was contacted and they then assured the company I purchased the shower from that they would sort it out and have new parts delivered on the day I needed it for fitting they did not deliver when they said they then said it would be delivered on Tuesday as I was fitting it on the Wednesday I even offered to pay for delivery to guarantee it was delivered I was told that it would definitely arrive so not to worry surprise surprise it never arrived and was not able to contact Matki as it was a half day This meant I was not able to fit the cubicle on the Wednesday and I have a very annoyed customer and Matki just dont care and this is not the first time On the same job I have a damaged shower wall outlet and they cant even tell me when I will receive this what a joke I dont expect this type of service from a company like Matki this company is suppose to be selling high end products this is not the case and there customer service is appalling People need to know that Matki products and service over the last 2 years has deteriorated to a level that is not satisfactory I would advise customers to look elsewhere company s like Kudos Merlyn and others give a better service

Offensive staff Awful service Never ever again
I suggest you do NOT spend money with this company I am disgusted at the arrogance and general lack of common courtesy received by customer service staff We have now had three showers from the Eauzone range The first was a screen and shower in our old house on Long Leys Road in Lincoln this is for Matki reference so they know this is a genuine review We didn t have any problems with this however we moved a short time after installation The other 2 we bought for our new house Had I known about the service I would not have bought two in such quick succession The first broke - it started to leak - and my plumber contacted them directly as they were very reluctant to even come and see the issue Eventually they did repair the shower which at the time was less than 2 years old The the second one broke in the exact same way We live in a hard water area and this does have an effect on the longevity of appliances However my issue is not with the hardware it s self My issue is with the offensive tone and aggressive manner of the staff that I have dealt with These products cost twice as much as the standard off-the-peg shower hardware As such you expect it to last a lot longer And when things go wrong you expect kindness courtesy and understanding Staff more than insinuated if it had broken the same as the other shower it must be something that we are doing with it Let me add I have one child who doesn t use the shower she baths They literally said I was clearly miss using it How rude After much to-ing and fro-ing I finally emailed my Receipt to Matki They didn t even have the courtesy to reply to say they had received it and that the part was being despatched I just received it in the post No letter attached to apologise for the inconvenience let alone the additional cost I am now incurring for my plumber to re-install the part on my second broken shower I work with customers I want them to feel valued You have done the exact opposite and made me feel completely and utterly worthless What a horrible horrible company We are building a new property and we will never ever buy from Matki again Annoyingly I already recommended them to a friend who has i stalled one shower She won t be using them for her second In addition the responses to the previous bad review was completely unrepentant This shows them in their true light

SMALL CLAIMS COURT AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICES
PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PART WITH YOUR HARD EARNED MONIES I have had a seriously substandard product from Matki and the customer services has been terrible We have have an useable shower in our home now for 2 months after spending thousands of pounds on what was supposed to be a very high quality product with Matki The chrome finish on the frame of the shower has started to peel away as what ingress has got underneath the finish I m some areas with this being metal it s actually quite dangerous and sharp The reply from the management when I had no joy from the customer services team was The corrosion on the frames and on the waste cover is clearly due to the use of a harsh chemical cleaning fluid I m not sure this is possible as we buy usual cleaning products from the high street just like everybody else I asked Matki to visit my home to inspect the product in which they want to charge me 145 plus vat upfront we ask ourselves why would we pay more money to these people when it s them at fault they have sent us some odd parts in there words as a good will gesture that do not even relate to the shower I have purchased this was as a good will gesture as they say my warranty is void as I haven t registered with the 10 year guarantee but all the more they have sent some parts they already have my deatails and purchase details so why would you be required to register a warranty that is supposed to be provided with every product from them Then the response email goes on to say that my shower has been installed incorrectly and this is now why the product is not doing as it should I think this is excuse after excuse that cannot even be bothered to come out to see the product yet they are making so many presumptions from some photos we have sent them Please please please be very wary when thinking of ordereding there products There are many other suppliers out there better than these The only way now of getting a fair outcome is taking this company to the small claims court Coming upto Christmas we now have to find another supplier to supply a shower and install it and also fix the damage in our dining room ceiling Not to mention the damage to our dining table We could do without the stress the time and the money involved but at the end of it we just want to get our lovely home fixed and back on track We don t usually do this but please don t fall in the trap with these people

Matki Eauzone Quintesse
I bought a Matki Eauzone Quintesse Shower enclosure in Oct 2016 from CP Hart Unfortunately the brace bar deteriorated quite quickly with the chrome peeling off I contacted Matki and an engineer came and replaced the bar Great service Unfortunately the replacement brace bar has done exactly the same thing - the chrome coating is peeling off and is very sharp and can cut the finger when wiping down I contacted Matki and the response was very different from my first The customer services representative said that as I hadn t registered the shower on the website I wasn t covered for an engineer to come out and replace even though the part is under 5 years old He authorised a replacement part which we would have to install ourselves We have received the part and needless to say it has sat in the packaging for months as my husband doesn t feel confident to do this himself and I don t see why I should have to pay for a plumber to install a part that is very obviously faulty I don t think this part is made out of the same material as the hinges door handles and other chrome parts on the shower which are all fine It is obviously coated and not a solid product I also have a Matki Eauzone Plus Curved Corner Slider shower in another bathroom and I have no issues with any of the chrome parts on this product I do not use harsh chemicals which can be proved by the fact that both showers don t have any problems other than this particular brace bar Also the brace bar sits above the door and is quite high and only needs to be dried off with a cloth Having read all the wonderful reviews from people - some who have moved into houses with Matki products that they didn t purchase yet still manage to get an engineer out and some who have products that are over 10 years old and still get an engineer to visit I am wondering why I m not getting the same service on a product that isn t 5 years old I have my invoice from CP Hart that proves when I purchased this shower Whether or not I registered it on the website is in my opinion irrelevant Matki products are at the top end in terms of price and I expected more longevity and better customer service for the money spent Disappointed Update on review I was contacted by Matki after they saw my review and an engineer has been out and replaced the brace bar free of charge The engineer was very helpful and courteous It s a shame that it took a bad review to get somebody to sort it but fingers crossed that this bar lasts longer than the others have Thank you Matki for sorting

Deplorable customer service
I would have actually put no stars if I could What awful customer service We have had a Matki shower tray fitted two and a half months ago Alastair one of their sales managers came out to look at this and only after repeatedly sending emails to Laings who we purchased this from asking for a report on their findings did we eventually receive a reply two months later saying installation at fault firstly what I would say is why did it take two months if they were so certain this was the cause We have now been sent two videos showing drainage from a level shower and one they say is how ours has been installed even though we have sent pictures showing the tray is bowed in the middle which is causing the problem Told today that can happen am not a rocket scientist but this is a solid stone tray which has only been down three months and my husband and I are not large people find this very hard to believe I have now done the same water test and this shows that the water at the end does not reach the drain and yet in both their videos it did even with the levels being different Also one of the photos Alistair took shows the level beside the drain itself dips which means water has to go uphill in the tray towards the drain I am sure their products are good when they work but wish I had read about their customer service as you only ever know a good company by their after sales customer service and Matik s is deplorable I was reluctant to go down this route but feel it is the only way we are going to actuality get dealing with somebody who can resolve this issue As we have said before we are not after money we just want what we paid for a working shower tray and am sure if they thought about it could come up with a way of fixing this I am resorting to this as so frustrated and want to avoid other customers going through what we have

Expensive but of Questionable Merchantable Quality
I bought a Matki LPW90 Fast Flow Shower Waste assembly in January 2020 at a cost of 66 other brand waste assemblies are available on the market from less than 10 It was installed into my Matki shower tray by a professional tradesman in February Some eight months later I noticed that the waste flange element part no 5953 A silver of the assembly had become severely corroded and was starting to lose its chrome coating I complained and duly received a replacement assembly from Matki It is interesting to note that Matki considers that it went above and beyond what was required of them by replacing a defective component less than 12 months old - We have provided a free of charge replacement for the damaged waste flange as a gesture of goodwill I pointed out to Matki that I would incur considerable expense by having to hire a tradesman to replace the flange and asked If they would send an engineer to replace it Matki had advised me that they had a proven method for replacing the waste flange with a minimum of inconvenience Matki declined I also ask Matki for their assurance that I would not find myself in a similar position in the future by making a like for like replacement Matki was unable to provide such an assurance Matki tried to defend its position by referring me to care and maintenance guidelines which are not in the box with the assembly but only available by searching online Matki implied that I had used very harsh chemicals to clean my shower tray which had caused the deterioration of the waste flange In point of fact we use normal cleaning products such as Flash or supermarkets own shower cleaner Finally I wrote to Matki s managing director asking him to reconsider their position he declined stating the task of replacing it should be straight-forward to arrange with your local plumber I am left wondering why Matki parts are so expensive

BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY
We have recently paid 1500 for the Illusion Quintesse shower cubicle which my husband fitted himself as with a previous one A major problem arose when the side panels would not fit Initially we waited practically 4 weeks for delivery after being told it would be here in 10 days After several photos going to and fro it it was decided by Matki that the bonding on the glass had slipped and we would have to MAKE the cubicle useable as it was only a few days before Christmas and the factory was closing until 6 January 2020 On Tuesday 21 January two fitters in two separate vehicles turned up from Bristol with two new panels However they were never opened as all the fitters could say was that the tray was not level and there was nothing they could do despite my husband having used a laser level for said tray The tray was actually a millimetre out of level but the screws could no way marry up with the slots without brute force being used The fitters refused to do anything at all and one of them in particular said to me Why should we put his my husband mistakes right This very much annoyed me and I told him to leave my house at which he turned to his colleague and said come on let s go she s told us to p off The taller of the two possibly Alan did not leave as his arrogant nasty jumped up little colleague had suggested but was quite helpful in explaining to my husband what he needed to do This behaviour is totally unacceptable and I do not wish these types of people to enter my house The reply we had to our complaint from Chris Sidwick Customer Services Manager was very dismissive and unsympathetic bearing in mind that we had waited a long time for any practical solution Maybe the tray not being level is a standard excuse to do nothing We certainly will not be purchasing any products from Matki ever again PLEASE BE WARY of them as once you have the product they are not interested

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
I wouldn t have given any stars if there was an option To give you the background on this the shower arrived with packets of screws opened already and part of the shower bent I raised my concerns at the time at the state of the box and it s contents It looked like had been sent to someone previously and then sent onto me This shower is just over two years old and was very expensive It s supposedly covered under a 10 year warranty Clearly not the case as when I spoke to customer services they were not interested I told them again about the screw packets that came opened and part of shower frame bent which was meant to be new Customer services emailed me back and had the audacity to say they replaced it as a favour They have only offered to send an engineer out if I paid 175 absolute joke Also the positive reviews on here are invited feedback

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE
Misleading information and incorrect technical drawings on the catalogue Purchased a very expensive shower enclosure compared to other brands just because it should have a door can open both ways Received an enclosure with a much wider door opening than stated It absolute is a design failure as it doesn t leave any room to move inside when the door opens inwards unlike the picture shown on the brochure So the door can only open outwards now and all the extra money we spend is a waste Contacted the company After emailing back and forward multiple times they finally understood the mistake causing the problem Their lack of ability to read their own technical drawings absolutely was shocking Finally they thanked us for letting them know and accepted that there was misleading information A decent company should have offered a full refund but we were only offered 100 refund less than the tenth of the amount we paid And almost after a year we still haven t received anything after hours of debating As an engineer I was appalled with their technical knowledge accepted the refund just because we don t have any more energy left to deal with their unprofessional approach Whole experience is a huge let down Suffice to say never dealing with this company again

SMALL CLAIMS COURT CASE
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU PART WITH YOUR MONEY I am completely flabbergasted by Matki s stance on the poor quality parts on the very expensive gold plated shower enclosure I purchased from them From the very start some of the parts arrived damaged and had to be replaced which delayed the completion of the bathroom as the gold plated parts were not readily available A few months later I noticed so blistering to some of the metal parts and one of the hinges had discoloured and looked odd After sending some pictures to Matki their answer was I had used HARSH chemicals to clean it with when in fact we have NEVER used ANY cleaning products to clean it with as we always wipe the shower clean after every time it s used with a micro cloth So we now have a shower enclosure that is RUSTING AWAY and is less than a year old Our only option now is to take them to the small claims court to get a fair outcome
