Matki Colonade corner shower unit Fitted some years ago but has had little use as in spare room en-suite Not for the first time the PLASTIC blocks which are the top roller assembly have failed There is little support to the wheels which have sheared off Obviously poor design and not fit for purpose Yes Matki say they will supply 2 x replacements for wait for it 130 73 inc vat 2 Small plastic blocks and four plastic wheels daylight robbery As it happens we have two main bathrooms about to be refurbished in view of this poor response from Matki it is plain we will not be considering Matki Terrible after sales

Matki showers are great when they are working but a nightmare to get fixed if a problem arises Our matki shower valve developed a leak We have been unable to use it because plumbers wil not touch a matki shower We have had 5 different plumbers out to look at the job Each said that matki are hard to repair and none have returned Contacted matki who offered no help nor did their distributor Very disappointed

Shower enclosure ordered from Fired Earth told it will be 2-3 weeks 16 weeks on and I still do not have a date for delivery Fired Earth staff are doing their best to chase but Matki are not delivering Will be requesting refund as bathroom has been delayed due to this and cannot delay any further

Had several Matki showers installed as part of our home renovation The frames and seals leak badly Had the authorized supplier in to change the seals Still leak Having been in correspondence with Matki desperately trying to get one of their engineers over to assess and fix the problem Despite several chasers over the last month No joy Meanwhile my bathrooms are a damp mess

I bought a replacement part from Matki and after paying by credit bard over the phone I was told I would NOT receive a confirmation email and their courier would contact me within 5 working days to deliver the part After 6 working days I emailed Matki and found that they had sent the part to the wrong address this is why confirmation emails are useful as they had made a typo in my order They said the part would be redelivered the next day but no one called and nothing came I emailed them again and hoping for the best but when neither they nor their courier email to confirm details or delivery it s inevitable things will go wrong

Very disappointing technical support Expensive Eauzone quintess cubicle tray bought within 2 years door has dropped causing water to leak all over the floor Spoke emailed technical support who offered to send someone as a gesture of good will to adjust hinges as a cost of 225 Sorry - less than 2 years old Thought I had bought a premium product which is supposed to be guaranteed for 2 years for parts labour Not fit for purpose if this product only has functionality for less than 24 months

Where to start Mitki my customers choice on one en suite of four fitted for six months and the divert flow control unusable however they did replace the whole accesses part body NEXT my supplier arranged the shower glass panels for the walk in this was a nightmare as Matki are obsessed with custom built so with deliberation we changed the shower tray to accommodate what we thought was the answer to there in stock glass NOT we ended up with two panels that were not compatible having fitted the tray and reduced the size of the area i was stuck with it Makie took no responsibility at all but hey they would custom build one to suit i had to custom build the glass supports to use the glass panels they could not even supply anything for this Opinion when you fit a inexpensive valve and it still works after ten years and this expensive high quality one lasts six months WELL overrated product with maximum profit in mind for the designer market not for me nor the middle man i used put them right of

We have had the Matki slate effect shower tray for around 6 months but already after 4 months it was wearing badly with signs of discolouration and scratches We contacted our supplier and via them asked Matki to send someone to have a look as the shower tray was still under guarantee and we had taken good care of it We had wiped it dry after every use and used cleaning products on it once twice a week Matki s response was limescale and hard water will affect the appearance of all textured coloured trays more rapidly especially in certain areas of the UK London any gel coating applied to this tray will be chemical and scratch resistant but not chemical or scratch proof They said despite us only having the tray for 4 months we have no limescale discolouration or scratch issues with the other not Matki shower tray sinks or bathtubs in our house that they felt the deterioration was due to poor maintenance and that an engineer attending would cost us 150 vat This was not a cheap product and we were not advised when buying that there would be issues because of the hard water in London Matki also advised us not to use acid based descaler products scouring pads or abrasive household cleaners or any cleaner with a ph level exceeding 8 We have not used these products to clean our tray We have not yet found a suitable cleaner that will rid us of the limescale or the discolouration which now seems permanent We also feel the tray should not have any scratches given that we have done nothing that should obviously cause them this suggests it is not a very durable material Given our experience we recommend avoiding this product as it will not keep its initial looks despite any care you take it is definitely not suitable for a hard water area we live in London save the money and buy something that is easy care and stronger We would never consider buying a Matki product in the future given their lack of aftercare and patronising response about poor maintenance

I recently had a ELEGANZA FOLDING BATH SCREEN installed and am unhappy with the quality of the product I expected one thing but got something different The description on the website states that the door uses a chrome finish but then uses high-lustre aluminium for the wall mount The aluminium I received actually had a cheap gold tint to it So it was both shiny and gold Note that the fixture is actually the most noticeable thing on the door The contractor I was working with asked Matki what had happened and was told that they re using something that is less gold now so they sent us a new fixture but only for the front of the door Honestly I think the use of high lustre aluminium is really bad design choice The door has these beautiful chrome fixtures that is totally offset by this ugly cheap looking fixture that spits at you when you look at it I m particularly upset because this is a very expensive product

We ve had two Matki showers installed over a eight year period and both have leaked in the same place the first one caused considerable damage to the underfloor area The second one has now started leaking thru the grout in the tiling adjacent to the shower right hand pillar Everything is sealed in the area but it still leaks I ve now got to find a installer who will look at the problem the original installer is no longer around Please help Matki
