Good bank
Best large bank ever We ve been with RBS for 2 years now after transferring away from another large high street bank I can say that in terms of large banks RBS are by far the best I m doing this review because I saw that there were low stars I think the only people that leave reviews are those that are unhappy Yes branches are busy and there are long wait time on occasion BUT this is because there aren t many branches left open these days be grateful your branch is open and BUSY this means it won t be closed I have had to use the free worldwide travel insurance recently which is a benefit of having the Black account wow fastest turnover I ve ever seen on an insurance claim Plus all the people I spoke to in the call centre were super nice and helpful And they were in a UK call centre Bonus Yes the black account is a service I pay extra to have but all the benefits are worth it cheaper cinema tickets mobile phone insurance and the travel insurance I am so glad we left our last bank who we had been with for 20 years It was a huge leap of faith but RBS have been nothing but helpful in every aspect since we ve been with them I can t wait for my mortgage to be up for renewal I ll be switching it over to RBS as soon as I can

The best bank in Scotland
I ve always been bad with money and found myself racking up hundreds of pounds in charges when I used contactless having to pay daily charges for not having the money in my account After a few months of this and feeling to embarrassed to ask for help I very reluctantly went to my local branch and asked for help managing my money Now the ladies there are always very smiley chatty and helpful sorry never seen a male there I asked to speak to someone and briefly what about and the manager Maria showed me into a room where we could talk more privately She didn t once get angry at my 3 year old that wanted to engage in contact and draw on all her paper which was a very nice plus after a chat she explained to me my options and got the ball rolling with her help I ve set up online banking changed cards to one without contactless and just generally working on keeping on top of my money I also left knowing if I was unsure or worried about anything with regards to my accounts that they would always do there best to help So thanks rbs for providing me with excellent customer service Regards Chloe

RBS Ryan Coventry Managed what amateur banks failed to do without a fuss
My daughter needed a bank account as she is keen to get a job but has limited ID due to dropping out of college With RBS as Ryan the adviser had heaps of experience and knew exactly how to handle things it was really simple Only having birth certificate and a few letters from school and her previous college Ryan made the effort utilised the correct procedures and completed the task without fuss which my daughter was pleased about as she can now apply for jobs couldn t without one The Bank with the Horse were rude and uneducated I was shocked by their lack of knowledge and training they were even arrogant and insisting they had no lack of knowledge or training even though they insisted that in England it is impossible to open an account without the ID my daughter has missing Well Done RBS much better that that stupid horse company LLo dS

Holiday refunds

I have liked rbs since I was 14
I have liked rbs since I was 14 Never had issues with staff or phone linesI m not sure why it has so many bad reviews I m only on here comparing other bank reviews as I am considering doing the smart business switch Which means by switching i could recieve 1500 But I genuinely dont wanna leave rbs So I m really confused on what to do If it wasnt for that incentive I wouldn t even consider it RBS have been great I ve compared with metro bank and starling and I m not sure i trust and beleive their glowing reviews seeing as rbs have so many bad ones and I know rbs arent as bad as what s said on here It s like starling and metro good good reviews are fake cus how can this bank have so many bad ones over their good ones I m super confused and I think I d rather turn down the 1500 and stay with RBS

I still like my local Lancaster RBS
Banks including RBS get a lot of stick And often they deserve it But I have to say that I still get consistently good helpful friendly sensible service from my local RBS in Lancaster Credit where it s due
