Frustrating customer service

Customer service responses from this company seems to be read from a script I would have got further from banging my head against a wall and had less of a headache to show for it

More service disruption with Shopify

More service disruption with Shopify our website has gone down a few times these past few months including today Service disruption is happening too often you just have to look at their status page status shopify com where they record past incidents And while they record many of the service disruptions in my experience they don t seem to record all of them not sure why - perhaps depends on the severity or length of time of the inconvenience I decided to write this review as a previous fan of Shopify in the hope that someone from Shopify sees it and can perhaps offer some explanation as to why of late their service seems be disrupted a lot and or offer some reassurance that things will get better

Shopify stopped paying out

It said You can t review this app You can only review apps that you ve had installed within the past 45 days and you must be on a Shopify paid plan Well I m on a paid plan and have been for a year but suddenly shopify have stopped paying me and say they need a photo of my drivers license uploaded before they will pay me what is owed I uploaded the photo using there app but there was no save button showing so told them the issue and they tried to get me to jump through hoops instead of fixing the app That was ten days ago and now I see they have added an save button to the app and so I uploaded the drivers license photos and still no payments have come through These guys need to sort their sh te out because I m not impressed

I wish you well but very disappointed I suppose you do get what you pay for I dog bowl more suitable for a cat that small a pet safety flasher that is permanently on and a tiny pair of earnings

I m looking for a drop-shipping company

I m looking for a drop-shipping company to start up an online printing business but after reading the reviews on Shopify there s not one positive comment Can anyone recommend a decent drop-shipping company

Expensive to get up and running and hard to customise

Having used shopify for 3 months I must say it cost a great deal more than advertised to get a full featured ecommerce shop going Lots of stuff you get with other platforms were premium bolt ons and the nicer templates were all at a premium too In the end my ongoing costs were more than if I had just paid someone to customise some open source like Magento so that s what I ve now done 29 per month that s what they advertise at is nowhere near what you ll end up paying if you want your website to have fairly standard features 3 months wasted

Poor customer service

We have used Shopify for our online store for approximately 5 years Two years ago we switched our bricks and mortar store to shopify POS and since March 2020 their poor customer support just got steadily worse While writing this review I have been on hold for 25 minutes waiting to speak to a customer service advisor I wouldn t necessarily say to avoid as they are one of the few options out there allowing you to have both physical and online stores working off the same data set but go in with your eyes open as their customer support is terrible

I enjoyed the website until it was time to pay out and they withheld payments even though I went out of my way to register a busyness even though I was an individual only for them not to pay out You can pause your store half way though a term but if you want to change anything you have to start a new term Absolute cons

Months of bugs on our busy store losing

Months of bugs on our busy store losing us sales emailing so called customer support all we get is excuses never get a technician to investigate this huge platform with they claim a million stores yet can t even get a basic customer service Why because its now owned by share holders that squeeze every last dollar so rarely offer technical help they simply do not give a toss

We were told we had to hire someone to fix a very simple problem of the fact that the product quantity wasn t syncing when a customer selected a new product I understand having to hire if we wanted something like a huge customisable thing but to fix something that should be Shopifys responsibility Why are we being made to pay more money to fix a problem that s a basic function of the system
