The fitters who installed our lift Lee it had been fitted incorrectly and did not inform us of the problem

The fitters who installed our lift did so knowing it had been fitted wrongly They never informed us of the problem and we only found out because of the noises and scrapping sounds it was making When this was pointed out the fitters came back twice and still did not tell us of the error It was not until the second visit that new and correct fitting items were sent by the company was it hopefully assembled properly Having had the lift fitted because of disabilities we were still left sleeping in chairs downstairs until we felt the lift was safe edited review following reply from StiltzsWe were advised the lift instillation would take one day It took two days because of problems the fitters encountered while assembling the lift the fitter came the following day to complete instillation We were not informed of any concerns or worries and were told everything was okay and fine and he asked us to sign that he had completed instillation When we mentioned about the grinding noise that concerned us along with the movement We were informed it was nothing to worry about and it would disappear as it bedded in The grating or grinding noise became worse and was worrying On further inspection we were informed there was a problem and the lift would require the assembly to be removed so that the problem could be rectified This was concerning to the extent that we felt unsafe to use the lift We are disabled which was the reason we required the lift So while waiting for the mechanical problem to be rectified we slept downstairs The following week the fitters came again spent a day dismantling the lift only to be told they required some new parts before it could be assembled properly A lorry arrived and fork lifting a large box onto our property and the fitters arrived again and spent another day removing the lift and re-assembling it again with new parts We were asked again to sign that the fitter had completed the re-assembly completion It is quieter now and we are very careful when we use the lift and hope no further problems occur although while re-assembling the lift they damaged the ceiling which although minor is beyond our our capabilities to repair as ladders would be required

DISAPPOINTING - This review would have been 5 Stars in

This review would have been 5 Stars in relation to the purchasing of my mothers through floor lift The process of buying the lift was seamless the company was very helpfull and were fast to respond to any questions I may have had Having bought the lift I can only describe the company s after sales service as being disappointing Several phone calls although answered immediately was bounced around from one department to another One particular maintenance call as the lift was not working correctly answered straight away then waited 14hrs for the engineer to call back Would I recommend this company NO it could have been my elderly mother it that unuseable lift

poor organisation and service from company

Lift ordered in February delays were probably unavoidable but communication from Stiltz was appalling lift broke down on day 2 or 3 it was fixed promptly UPS ordered at same time as lift didn t arrive No apology or explanation i had to make numerous phone calls When box finally arrived it was suggested the new floor needed to come up again it didn t have to come up in the end but the socket that was installed with the lift with the electric cable hanging quite away from the lift they don t show you that cable in marketing pictures was removed and replaced and ceiling had to be filled and painted The permanent fan on UPS box makes a constant noise they dont tell you that either Engineers were pretty helpful but service from office and organisation is dreadful Complaints person however was very helpful and sympathetic

Poor installation and service Before the warranty expired the lift

Before the warranty expired the lift broke down with me in it I had to be rescued Stiltz repair engineer commented on the poor installation that the crooked alignment demonstrated by uneven wear caused the cable to snap Stiltz failed to answer our email but sought 595 pa Service Agreement SA The salesman phoned several times applying pressure to sign the SA To date we have had no answer to our complaint

Had the Trio installed just over a year

Had the Trio installed just over a year ago and have had nothing but trouble with it Last time out the engineer discovered that wires weren t connected properly and the lift is repeatedly getting stuck due to the sensors thinking that there is an object below it despite this not being the case It has got to the point that we don t necessarily want to put our disabled daughter in it for fear of her being stuck between floors Disappointed

An issue with the design of my 3 stop Stiltz

I only have good things to say about the workmen that installed my elevator I have contacted Stiltz directly because one of the issues is due to the design of the elevator The power cord burned obviously shorting out the elevator They had to install a new power cord battery charger and battery backup They even cut the area of the frame so it couldn t rub the new cord Not very safe by my standards Because it took a few days for someone to come it was the domino effect breaking down I asked for someone from your company come here to see for themselves I received a response stating my issues was being turned over to a manager and they would get back to me That was several months ago Still waiting for a call back

A very good product but after service

A very good product but after service not up to the standard one would expect
K

Good lift- some after sales issues but would buy again

I m happy with my lift I purchased it without seeing one in action due to lockdown It s very neat and works well I would out 2 things that I hadn t appreciated Firstly you have to press and hold the lift button throughout the journey Also there is a 10cm ish step up into the duo plus lift which could be an issue for some I found the sales process good and low pressure The pricing is bespoke rather than from a published list The installers were excellent Tidy polite and hard working Can t fault them However there was a problem with the wrong door being delivered It has taken 3 attempts over a couple of months to try and put this right I ve had to chase this up repeatedly and was disappointed to be contacted for things like extending my warranty whilst waiting for the installation to be completed Hopefully this will be resolved soon I was also given some contradictory advice on whether my lift could be extended in the future Overall a good product that will make a big difference in my life and looks much better than rival products Some after sales niggles that could be improved

Lift is brilliant

Lift is brilliant lack of building certificate despite numerous requests and lift being in place since 2017 is atrocious Don t bother trying to complain as their complaints procedure doesn t work and their email address garners zero response

In general the lift works fine BUT

In general the lift works fine BUT THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE The light barrier that causes the lift to stop if anything projects outside the lift operates within and below the top of the safety doors This means that if the occupant has a wide skirt etc the lift will stop causing anxiety for the usually elderly occupant This can also be a problem when transporting objects such as suit cases with no-one in the lift if the case falls against the safety door This is very difficult to overcome and requires a ladder to move the item in question
