I pay for 300 mbps service what a joke

Updated review Comcast finally sent a tech out and they found a problem in the line coming from the house My internet speed is now back to a full 300 mbps If I could rate just the tech that came to my home I d give him 5 stars However the original difficulty of getting someone on the phone and the terrible tech service I received via phone deserves 1 star I m updating my experience to 3 stars since things are now working again Original review 1 star I pay for 300 mbps service but consistently receive 70 mbps I work from home so this is a big issues Typically you could call to discuss your problem but it is almost impossible to get a Comcast agent on the phone By ignoring all prompts and repeatedly pressing 1 I was finally able to get a rep on the phone but they were unable to provide a solution or an answer they were polite though Coincidentally I had to call my garbage company this week to resolve an issue and it was a 5 min call How is it that the company that removes my garbage has better service than the trash service I receive from Comcast

Love Hate relationship

I have been with Comcast on and off for years I have had numerous connectivity issues with the internet more recently a lot of trouble What I learned is that once you reach out to the top people in charge things get done When the service is working right it s great I tried switching to AT T DSL for a short time and it was worse than Comcast I wish I had more options but I m a happy customer when everything is working the way it s supposed to

Beware of predatory practices

Speed of internet was good but I had a TV package added without my consent that was impossible to remove without affected my broadband price Later when I moved I was still charged an extra month after I requested my service to be disconnected

The technician was super friendly and

The technician was super friendly and tried his best to fix the issue He even set up a new modem checked the cable outside and everything But alas the internet is still extremely slow and is only reaching 8mbps even though I m paying for 200mbps I might just end up having to take my money elsewhere if the issue isn t resolved

The only reason I m giving a 3 star

The only reason I m giving a 3 star tonight is because I love comcast Or I d give a 5 But I ve noticed a common issue that continues to happen on MTV not sure if it s the connection with comcast or whatever but me and my daughter were watching and have watched many movies on MTV and it happens everytime Glitching Its very annoying especially when you re half way or more through the show and just won t start back up Please fix this

I really like comcast but

I really like comcast only complaint i have is about their Pride Bs I have nothing against the 1 But why when comcast goes into sleep mode should my family and i be assaulted by pictures of drag queens i thought comcast was considered family friendly not anymore Are you freaking kidding me My kids and i dont want to be seeing that

Extented Internet Outage

I have been with Comcast for over 20 years but have never seen any outage lasting over a few hours I just moved to a new house in 77072 zipcode and currently going through an outage lasting over 24 hours to date As I write this review my service is still NOT back on and I have called comcast over a million times only to be told the service will be restored soon I work from home and loosing money at this time Please restore my stervice now rather than soon I beg of you

Comcast almost lost my business today

I recently signed up for Comcast internet and I am thrilled with the service The prices are competitive I appreciate that there are several different internet packages to choose from depending on my needs The customer support team is also responsive and helpful in answering any questions I have Overall I m very satisfied with Comcast internet and would recommend it to others However my experience with the installation technician was frustrating and disappointing The technician who came to our home was rude and unprofessional He didn t provide clear instructions on how to use the equipment When we asked him about the set-up process he seemed annoyed and brushed us off We were disappointed with his lack of professionalism and felt that his attitude was unacceptable While I would recommend Comcast internet I would advise the company to provide better training and supervision of their installation technicians to ensure a positive experience for all customers

Lost out on the football game

So there I was watching the football game between Kansas and the Jaguars Suddenly my broadcast was in Spanish Remote was across the room Checked the game on Fox and it too was broadcasting in Spanish Only commercials were English Other channels normal SUCKS Just 2 weeks into the service Xfinity programming box remote are slow compared to DTV A lot less DVR recording time Thank the gods for separate streaming service I already had We shall see how long I keep Xfinity
