Octopus Smart Meter installation failure

I had arranged for the installation of a smart meter Despite emails and texts counting down to the date nobody turned up in the prearranged 5 hour slot The Octopus installer sent an email the following day saying that my appointment had been cancelled I contacted Ali at Octopus the following day who was apologetic and undertook to ring back with a new appointment Three days later nothing A frustrating experience from a company that advertises its award winning customer service

Honestly do not know or understand how these guys manage to maintain such a rating on here From my experience alone it takes roughly 2 weeks to even reply to a simple email and then they ask for further details regarding a bill which was already on their system I won t even go into issues with my relatives account complaint and no reply Even emailing the CEO founder Greg has done little for them either If i could give 0 stars trust me i would

Incompetent from top to bottom Despite never joining them they are insisting we owe them over 700 for a time that we never lived in a property They fail to address complaints they fail to cease and desist they fail to enact GDPR right to be forgotten the refuse to do a damn thing and again sent us a stupid bill for a property we never lived in Incompetent

Why don t u tell customers u don t have smart meter installs before they switch

Tried to switch to Octopus to use their EV oriented electricity tariff but they didn t tell us that they had no smart meter installation availability or even when they might be able to install Called in twice and was just fobbed off and they took over 48 hours to respond to the same email enquiry and the reply still had no response in it Complete waste of our time so we are sticking with Eon because they gave us an installation date within a week of requesting one Felt like I should have been on a Martin Lewis show after this fiasco

Helpful call with Aston today he is trying to resolve Thanks Email No 27 Spoke with Aston today he advises a note was given to the contractor on this Wednesday ie my previous emails have not been actioned This is despite Octopus mistakenly making the appointment on the 25th when I clearly said that I am not available that dayI am looking for an appointment on the date we agreed ie 29th January and not a further apology

Smart Meter not being fitted

New customer since October 2023 Want smart meter fitted as now have an EV and would like Intelligent Octopus tariff Two dates for fitting of smart meter one date did not attend in November waited until yesterday for other date and this was cancelled during the time slot Sent link to rebook link did not work so phoned and told on phone no dates available for fitting of the meter I am stuck in limbo Seems impossible to get a smart meter fitted at present Not the customer experience I had hoped for

No electricity readings

Really disappointed with Octopus Energy customer service i have been sending them massages regarding the non-existent electricity readings on the website dashboard mobile app and the IHD Everytime i get a reply i feel as though i am being fobbed off They offer no updates or explanation as to how they are resolving this problem As a pensioner i need to control my expenditure and this continuing problem is not helping I ve gone through the usual channels perhaps a poor review might wake Octopus Energy up I won t hold my breath

No End in Sight

Update I have been offered 100 in compensation for all the problems Octopus Energy have caused during the past six months However Rebecca the so called customer services contact is unable to rectify the ongoing Smart Meter issues I am convinced she is a robot AI as her email messages are incomprehensible I am no further forward with Octopus Energy resolving or indeed understanding my issues Craig you should be so proud of your company

I find Octopus very responsive when

I find Octopus very responsive when contacting them They reply very quickly and promise to rectify the problem within weeks However my Smart meter has not been working since middle of 2023 and despite reporting the issue many times the problem has still not been resolved and Octopus cannot send me up to date bills with half hourly meter readings send out 3 engineers never fixed it and when ombudsman on then and still waiting to get fix

Disgraceful customer service

This is my second review which I am writing in desperation We were changed to octopus from bulb They supply an email address to contact them It is an invalid email address Tgey answered my first review and even though I have sent meter readings in they have still not sent me an up to date bill My last bill was for September October I sent meter readings in before Xmas I am in my 70s and am finding this very stressful Octopus please send me a bill up to December Dreadful company
