Smart meter readings not working for gas meter requiring multiple messages to try and sort out Requested smart meters disabled - nothing done

Octopus is generally very good

Octopus is generally very good However the professionalism of some off their reps can let them down For example on today s call there was a clear misunderstanding of what I was saying versus what the rep was hearing She just didn t understand and it wasn t an accent thing

Crediting a negative amount

I recently had cause to ask for an explanation as to why a negative amount has been entered as a credit on my bill when clearly adding a negative amount is a deduction not a credit The explanation was as confusing as your accounting and I am still not convinced that you haven t made a mistake To your credit however you do respond to queries - other energy providers are impossible to engage with

No one dealing with octopus-installed broken smart meter

No one answers the phone although their smart software recognises I phoned before so that s ok holding emails that go nowhere for a while then a reply that sorts nothing out Installed what looks like a broken gas smart meter months ago that doesn t show any numbers and forget the digital display unit they are unreliable So no way of checking consumption since installation months ago Have been chasing for weeks getting nowhere But at least they installed one in ok time so 2 stars Now expect to wait 2 months for an engineer to get in touch to put it right Award winning I read Reflection of competition perhaps eg try getting the remains of SSE to put in a smart meter

Customer service has gone downhill

Since moving house I feel like the service from Octopus has gone downhill I had a very frustrating email exchange with Pinky where I tried to find out if I could switch to a fixed rate tariff but pay monthly rather than via direct debit- and I still don t have a clear answer I ve also been charged a couple of times randomly mid-month based on readings I didn t submit In addition to this I submitted a complaint but have heard zero back regarding it Not sure what s going on over at Octopus but if it continues I might switch to another supplier

3rd time smart meter dna How many days must i give up from work for one chap to install it Don t give me a few spin on the wheel One month free energy is the minimum compensation they can give My time and life is worth more than this

We originally told Octopus we were

We originally told Octopus we were moving our gas and electric to Utility warehouse we were assured by both parties this would go ahead and everything was fine We heard nothing and went about our life suddenly down the line we were informed that it hadn t been sorted and we were in dept to the tune of 3000 bearing in mind this was two years later and we had heard nothing from Octopus till the demands started arriving It is disgusting that Octopus had let this build up and it is now costing us 300 a month to pay back and bearing in mind both me and my partner have a disability it has put a huge financial strain on us Having heard on the radio how wonderful Octopus are I would bed to differ

Not that helpful

The staff member I spoke to did not answer my specific questions - just ignored them and told me things that I had not asked about instead I therefore had to waste my time by contacting you a second time to ask the same questions and the answers were not that helpful

No gas

Octopus energy fitterd a smart meter 5 days before Christmas but told me they couldn t turn my gas fire on because it was giving off carbon monoxide and they then left but the didn t tell me that they switched all my gas off and I couldn t get a gas engineer to Fit a new gas fire before Christmas rather disappointed with this

Difficulty changing tariffs

There were ample explanations of the available tariffs but no clear direction on how to change tariffs Surely all that s needed is a clear link to change your tariff to make it easy to do
