SCAM Avoid and go elsewhere

1 star is far too generous The owner of this company will go through extreme lengths to cover his tracks hence my need to keep updating this review The snagging inspection was carried out by the owner of this supposed company It was a waste of money and nothing I couldn t do myself upon receiving the report I can t name him as he keeps reporting my review and he comes across as no more than a chancer who has exploited a niche that is in demand when buying a house so please do your research before booking 375 for no more than a 50 min visit even though 2 hours was alloted so I would have expected snags to not be missed which were not noted in the report Having a rough idea on what is expected there was no sight of any laser levels being used or thermal imaging etc that is normally carried out on a snagging inspection Since the report has come back I have proceeded to find a good few snags that were missing that had the inspection been done with due care and not rushed considering the 2 hours that I have paid for These include big scratches on panes of glass that are very noticeable I will most likely be seeking at getting another snagging inspection done elsewhere now as I am not happy with the final outcome and to charge 375 when only carrying out a 50 minute job which also seems to be a common trait looking at other reviews who have had the same issue In response to their reply Yes I am aware that depending on the size of the house timeframes can be different but I have paid for a 2 hour slot and that is what I expect especially when several snags have been missed and the service you offer on the website for example laser levelling of walls thermal imaging etc were not carried out None of the electrics were checked such as polarity luckily I work in the trade so can test it myself but others not so fortunate are not in that position so as part of your supposed checks this should be carried out and to charge 375 it is a scam I have since had a threatening message from the owner since my review 6 days ago to which I have been accused of setting up another account just because someone so happens to have the same name as me If he was indeed clever enough to realise that the 2 accounts are not related just because he was given a 1 star review Again please people do not use this company as you can see this is not the behaviour of a man who can be trusted now go away and stop harassing people who merely do not approve of your practices I have since had my review reported by said owner of company who has reported it simply because he does not like the fact that he has been highlighted for his unscrupulous ways Funnily though any 5 review with his name has not been reported it seems to be only the negatives he goes for Please disregard the recent 5 reviews that have popped up recently as it seems like they are fake reason being they are written in the same broken English that is used by said owner of company so please do not be scammed by this man He has since deleted all his replies back to me and now going down the route of supposedly not attending my house I have receipts so why would I lie You attended on the 28th of November to carry out your fraudulent business My review gets reported on a daily basis by this con man what I will say is if you never attended and I have never used your service I will do a charge back with my bank to recoup my 375 as I paid for a service that you have supposedly not given afterall I have screenshots of you saying i was never a customer How does that sound As per my previous response I am now in the process of recovering what I paid and have been seeking guidance with Citizens advice who have told me what my next steps are so you will be hearing further to this

they offer money to get bad reviews taken down

Updating my review due to the reply I requested a refund as I am appalled with your customer service even when i requested for an update on the loft last year you offered me a partial refund which i declined as I did not want any money back I just wanted confirmation the loft had been checked which you confirmed to me all was OK Now I have found there is indeed an issue like I thought You then blocked me and ended our discussion even though I requested a phone call However since I posted this review you unblocked me from WhatsApp and offered me 100 to take down this review I stick by my review and reject this offer as I want people to avoid using you and being let down in the long run like myselfWe wouldn t have had this issue if you didn t confirm to me the surveyor checked the loft and all was fine which i have in writing when in fact he didn t even enter the loft or try to look from the loft ladder Absolutely shocking company Please avoid this company I honestly never write reviews but I feel like this could help someone from avoiding this company and finding issues in the long run So I paid for a full survey which confirms that they check the loft area I noticed a crack in the loft straight away when viewing the new build property and so paid for the snagging report and before exchanging contracts I requested their confirmation that this was checked I have a screenshot from them confirming it was checked and no issues at all Now I have come to understand there is actually an issue which the crack hasn t got bigger it s the same size as it was 11 months ago at the time of the report but I felt worried so got another engineer to take a look I reached out and they said the loft area isn t something they check in detail and they only look through the loft hatch Even though you can see this crack from the loft hatchback If this was made clear to me then that would be fine but they gave me their word and professional opinion I have asked why didn t they just say it wasn t something they could advise on in the first place so I could have investigated furtherand they have blocked me and said it is the end of the conversation I am so unhappy and feel really let down I am a first time buyer and thought I could rely on this company Please do avoid and don t get fooled with their fast responses at the start as they have really let me down and I feel like I have been conned

I have booked a snagging report for a newly built house that I was about to purchase They had to collect keys from estate agents as I did not complete on my purchase yet There were two new built houses one number 5 and the other 5A They went to the wrong property and obviously report is incorrect Now refusing to refund my money BTW please note there is no even complaints procedure on their website or in their terms and conditions Estate agents blaming them they are blaming estate agents and asking me to contact them What can I say to estate agents when I wasn t there on the day I paid money for the snagging report to be carried out on correct property and this did not happen In my opinion it is for the snagging company and estate agents to sort out who is at fault Estate agents provided me with this explanation I have spoken with all the members of staff that were present in the office when the chap came in to collect the keys as I wasn t in the office It has been confirmed to me that when the chap came into the office he wasn t sure what property he had come in for he just came in and said he was picking up keys He didn t have any paperwork to refer back to after some questioning from us to establish who he was it was established that he was here for keys to Road name He was then given the keys we have for the two new build properties we have in Road name and was told where they were and how to get there from the office as he wasn t sure and was told that the property he needs is on the left hand side At no point after then did he call us and to clarify or to check after getting to the property that he was entering the correct one in addition to this 5a has a for sale sign outside of it so I am not sure how the snagging inspector made this mistake You may ask why we kept the keys on the same keyring this is the normal with new builds as once the build is complete for insurance purposes up to completion we must do weekly inspections on the properties We are sorry to hear this has happened but I am afraid the mistake and error falls to the snagging company not us Whilst we sympathise that this mistake has been made the mistake is solely down to the company you employed to do the snagging report They were unsure which property they were collecting keys for initially when they have arrived at the property they haven t entered the correct one even after clear instruction from us if they had any concerns like a for sale board being outside they should have called us or you to clarify they were accessing the right property

Would not recommend

Booking was good straightforward My booking had to be amended as a snagger called in sick absolutely fine and I was told I would get the report same day because my booking got pushed back but ended up being 48 hours also not a big issue for me My 3 hour appointment was done in just over half the time which would have been fine if all issues were picked up However a number of snags were missed and when queried I got mostly defensive answers and excuses no accountability or apology or any offer to rectify Thermal imaging is also just a thermal scan a camera attached to an iPhone which checks cold spots and window seals only All in all very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone - mainly based on the fact that my job was rushed done in about half the time and therefore a number of snags missed and company basically just got defensive Edited to add Although not a big property it is approx 1 100 sq ft in size 3 bedroom house which was done in just over 1 5 hours Out of 74 snags approx half were paint blemishes paint streaks The explanation given to me was They do not check all snags 100 and that times are approximate - 3 hours turned into approx 1 5 hours I would definitely go with another company poor aftercare and no accountability Please read all negative reviews and their replies to them before even thinking of booking with this company The main thing I am not satisfied with is the missed snags because they rushed the job Edited again as there was a new reply it s not a long snag list that s the issue but poor work rushed job no accountability I spoke to my developers who agreed with the snags I have found and said they were surprised you didn t spot them There are MANY other companies out there with excellent 5 star reviews on average so I urge you to go with them instead

Very poor Offered payment for positive review

Very poor Be wary of positive reviews here as at least some may be a result of bribery I received an offer of an amazon voucher in exchange for a positive review Quality and depth of report disappointing have since paid another company to return since the report I received from snagmynewhome was overwhelmingly superficial issues and omitted more significant ones Thermal survey was not completed despite being listed as a part of the service I recommend avoiding this company Edit It appears my review has been flagged by the business who believe this to be a duplicate account I m afraid not I m just another disappointed customer with a simiar name My account is trustpilot verified for removal of doubt

This company in my opinion is not good

This company is in my opinion very poor The original Date I was given got cancelled one hour before he was meant to arrive after me taking a day off to be home The appointment was then made the next day to which he came a bit late and when I mentioned yesterday being cancelled he flew in to one to which if it was needed doing then I would of thrown him out because that s unprofessional behaviour He then done the snagging which he missed several major things like blocked weep holes Which we was made aware of by our bricky who then said I m surprised your snagger never picked them up because it s something they should ve checked I certainly wouldn t recommend this company to anyone considering getting snagging done Not professional enough and regret spending the money on this company Be aware missing things like that will cost you in the future Hope this dreadful experience for me helps you not make the same mistake I made by trusting this company Missing WEEP HOLES is a big thing and not a minor thing like mastic so regarding terms and conditions stating you may not get all the snags WEEP HOLES is a major which a so called expert should notice

Not worth it Save yourself the time Do your own

Not worth it The inspector was not professional to say the least he acted more like a layperson than someone that gets paid a decent amount to do a job 375 for a 2 bedroom and was late as well I asked him to include some of my snags kitchen units and flooring but he hasn t done so in his report the inspection was supposed to be for 2hours but he left in about 50 minutes I asked him to include some wall smears chips as well he said that they are too many and he doesn t want to scare the developer if he makes a big report I emailed snagmynewhome asking why weren t my own findings added to a report - silence To be frank for new builds anyone can do this a snagging list with 85-90 accuracy just need a spirit level and a led flashlight and follow this list brand-newhomes co uk new home diy snaglist internal htmlNB My apartment is not small it s medium sized based on the Valuation Office Agency VOA so their comment invalidates the fact that small apartment fewer snags NB2 It s not creating snags that I asked for but adding existing snags that noticed Snag My New Home s level of professionalism and attention of detail for you

Very Poor Snagging service without identifying developer s problem The snagging report has no evidence provided for under-floor heating but claimed its working fine in email reply only In fact it doesn t work at all for my main bedroom The developer checked and confimed it didn t work since day1 installation It makes me and my family suffer the cold in sleep without heating Another major problem like window without security lock is not mentioned in the snagging report I have escalated the problem to the customer service without any reply Choose this snagging service if you don t want any major problem findings Please also see their reply and response there they never admit their mistake but claimed its functioning normally during their snagging without any evidence But when developer checked this is not the case since day 1 installation What a miracle it worked in their checking This snagging company can be always right even no fault identified in the report What a good snagging service

Lack of service

Lack of service - After booking online through their website using the correct region that they advertised East West Midland and Wales area covered I was told that I booked the incorrect region and they don t cover East West Midland and Wales area on Sunday 16th June but they cover the area on the next day on 17th June After rescheduling to the Monday 17th June they cancelled the booking the day before and stated that their surveyor in the area has now quit the job because of personal issues However they are still advertising that they cover the East West Midlands and Wales area on their website It s been 10 days now and they have not refunded the cost I paid in full and have decided to keep the 100 deposit I would not recommend booking with them Edit Following my review which the company unsuccessfully flagged to be removed I was sent a barrage of abuse and insults dated 26th June 2024 from their WhatApp number in response to the review They clearly don t take negative feedback very well as a company which highlights their level of professionalism I will provide the screenshot evidence to Trustpilot My review still stands please avoid this company at all cost

In reply to you re reply regarding terms and conditions and you re snagger not being able to get every snag possible and may miss some is understandable but when it s a big one like weep holes that should be standard checked and they get missed that s POOR It s not like a bit of mastic which I would understand it s a WEEP HOLES So your excuse of term and conditions and missing some things this one should be spotted by a so called expert Hopefully you re company will learn by this poor standard and improve in the future This is a reply to you not a SECOND review Requesting this to be taken down shows you don t want people to see the truth This is not a second review it was a response to you re reply NOT A SECOND REVIEW
